man that's gonna suck for people who don't know about that!

I better write down all my settings before I do this update.

But you'll need to change the settings, because they're changing the PP calculations for the cars. Its better off starting over again.

this seems like a pretty fluffy, lack luster update IMHO.

wonder if they will add official configuration for the G25. its ridiculous that the most expensive, and frequently used wheel has to configured via a different device.

not really, they can't add PP for changing ride height or suspension stiffness, because then they would have to calculate whether or not that change is good or bad so they could either add PP or suibtract it.

I believe what they're going to do is make each HP or Kg be a different point value for each car. So maybe going 85% weight on a GT LM costs 40 points, but doing it on a GTR might only cost 30 points. That way the GTR could be more competitive.

Oh, and they're changing the tyre physics too remember....

I just finished a Best of Topgear episode on youtube.
Im thinking of downloading off youtube to ps3.
Top Gear on youtube was uploaded illegally and will most likely be removed on behalf of the BBC soon.

There are some on bbc iplayer, but only recent ones.
New shows only available for 7 says according to wiki.

www.FinalGear.com

Only way I will pay for these shows, is if their in HD.
illegal as well.

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not trying to prosecute anyone here. I'm just trying to bring to your attention that just because it's easy to watch Top Gear freely one way or another, you should be aware that most of those ways actually are not legal. So bashing PD for going a legal way is a bit out of line in my eyes. I mean they can't offer Top Gear for free, arguing that it's available for illegal download on the internet anyway, can they?

They shouldn't delete the times, again (that was cruel how they did that last update). They are improving their cornerability, so I assume that it won't matter if they delete them, because they will naturally be taken off over time due to the new times with the improved tyre grip coming in.

Nonetheless, we still need private lobbies.

so they are cruel again mate...:ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch:

:ouch:spyrrari:ouch:

👍 ++++1

The amount of people acting like PD is ripping them off, by doing this legally is kind of crazy.

Here's the most recent topgear, legally
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00cl43b

There also appears to be a "download" button there, so even IF it's only up for 7 days, you could still download it and watch it whenever your heart desires.

If PD has to pay licensing fees for it (which I'm sure they do), then I wouldn't expect them to give it away for free. However, I'd much rather endure some commercials stuck in the middle of it than have to be nickle'd and dime'd for a tv show. The chance that it will be in HD is really the only redeeming factor here, and the only reason why I would ever want to pay for it.

According to wiki, only UK residents can download content from the BBC iPlayer.

And I just found this:
What is BBC iPlayer?

With BBC iPlayer you can catch up with the programmes from the past week free of charge and play back high quality programmes on your computer as often as you like during the time that the programme is available.

If you are in the UK and connected to the internet you can:

* Play programmes on the website through Click to Play (streaming), a method that works for Windows, Mac and Linux computers, as well as on Nintendo Wii, iPhones and iPod touch devices.
* Catch up with a selection of television programmes and most radio programmes from the past seven days that you may have missed.
* Download TV programmes and store them on your computer for up to 30 days if your computer supports the BBC iPlayer Download Manager.

Rights agreements mean that television programmes can only be streamed or downloaded in the UK, but if you are outside the UK and connected to the internet you can:

* Listen live and listen again to most of our radio programmes.
Does the player work for you? For me, it doesn't.

I welcome this. Sure, I can watch Top Gear or Best MOTORing through some site, but tell me this. How many of you are actually capable of finding a source providing video coverage of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring or the incredibly hard to find SuperGT?

These are what really grab my attention as I have never seen anyone provide SuperGT coverage besides MotorsTV & stations in Japan, none of which I can get in the US.

Foolkiller, my point really was more about the fact of having a compulsory £139 bill every year for probably 3 or 4 decent programs a week that I watch from any of the BBC channels (can't opt of paying your TV license should you not watch it and are subscribing to satellite tv either) and then having to pay again should I want to watch it again, whilst the BBC profit from selling programs like Top Gear abroad and none of this money benefits TV license payers. The revenue generated between 2000-1 to 2004-5 from TV licences was more than £13bn, another UK backdoor tax. The BBC limit viewing BBC iPlayer programs (which are only available for a week) to UK specific IP addresses, therefore I don't see why Sony or PD could allow UK IP addresses to download for free? I would happily pay for other content, just not this :)

PS - I know that you can download programs but they only last 30 days and they still haven't got around to sorting this facility out on the Mac platform yet

I agree that downloads of Top gear episodes from GT-TV make little sense for UK residents. For the rest of the world however, this is perfectly fine.

I feel bad. I guess i'm the only one not caring for this update.

I was expecting:

a car
a track
wheather
damage
private lobbies

You know, stuff they talked about as being in one of the updates. Everything on that list is a minor touch correcting previous shortcomings.

On top of that, we got no news on GT5 at E3.

that makes me sad :(

Good to hear this is not the fall update... cheers then PD, i think it's great how they keep up and keep updating GT5P to make GT5 and GT5P perfect once they are done.
