No joke, the closer we‘re getting to the update the more hyped I get. I haven‘t been looking forward this much to a Gran Turismo update in a long time - it‘s just amazing that we‘re finally getting four WEC Hypercars at once and just in time for Le Mans.

I have the rest of the week off starting on Wednesday so expect a lot of replica liveries from this year!
I'm off from Wednesday too. I love Le Mans week and always take it off for all the track action.

You'll get the outdated one in reverse and you'll like it.
That's inside information if ever I saw it!

I'm actually going to do a few practice laps now.

My only source of income today is gold on time trials. Things are expensive for me. A 20M car is golding 10 TTs

I think my dream if a modernized LeMans is gone😞. Maybe we get a new race featuring the new cars that has a decent payout
There will be a new event race I would think, the issue though is these new four cars will just be GR1 class, unless they are in a new class of their own, then there would be new events/races at many of the tracks.

I don't know how others feel but I think maybe these new four cars need to be in their own class GRP maybe and then they can add a couple more cars to the class like the Cadillac, Toyota, Alpine, Genesis and Aston Martin.

This is what I think they should do with the new Porsche and Ferrari in GR3, if there are other updated cars I think they need their own class as well.

As for an updated LeMans track as good as that would be, I would rather have some new tracks The Bugatti Circuit or Paul Ricard for example if it has to be real world tracks.

It would be good to see the LMH / LMDH cars given their own category. The 4 new cars could join the existing Toyota GR010 HYBRID and we would have plenty for the class.

That’s how I feel about the Manufacturer series. We see PD have the power to limit what cars group together for certain races/events. Won’t happen, but limiting them to the newer generation cars cuts down on trying to balance 40 cars. Other than the old RC F and GT-R that still compete(and are still competitive) in racing, the choices should be limited to the newer GT3 cars.

Making a multi-class grid with the Hypercars and current GT3 cars still offer plenty variety. Utilising the two each of the five Hypercars and two of each AMG GT3, 296 GT3, RC F GT3 and 911 GT3 R, make a grid total of 18 cars. That leaves room for the User to add another “team” car of their choice or fill with two more AI or a safety car or leave as is. Many possible combinations.

Someone noticed the Ferrari was always positioned 1st in the trailer update, I mean "preview" update..

But what I noticed is the Porsche position lights (red dots on the sides), IF the 'Rarri is in the 1st place in all of the shots in the trailer,
Why is the red dot on the Porsche is on as if HE's in the 1st place? Is this some kind of a bug? Or something else.. 🤔

Sometimes the light is turned on and sometimes it is not despite him being 3rd etc.. (Spa, Monza = on / Interlagos, Fuji = off)

Examples :

@spa it is on despite being behind the BMW.

And @fuji, the lights are off when 3 should've been on since the car is in the 3rd position..

Maybe i'm just trippin' for noticing something as trivial as this 😅

New bonus menu predictions:

Le Mans Hypercar - Ferrari 499P, Peugeot 9X8, Toyota GR010 Hybrid
Porsche Prototypes - Porsche 962 C, Porsche 919 Hybrid, Porsche 963
Economy Crossovers - Honda CR-V e:HEV EX Black Edition, Nissan Qashqai, Toyota RAV4 Adventure

engine swap prediction:

10 new swaps

  • toyota corolla sprinter trueno ae86 - toyota supra 2jz
  • toyota corolla levin trueno ae86 - toyota supra 2jz
  • porsche 911 996 - porsche 911 gt3 r 992
  • porsche 911 997 - porsche 911 gt3 r 992
  • vw beetle - porsche 911 gt3 r 992
  • audi tt coupe - audi r8
  • daihatsu copen rj - silvia s15
  • ford mustang gr.4 - gac maverick
  • ford mustang boss - gac maverick
  • maserati merak - ls9 corvette c6

My theory ia that in preview trailer they showed hipercars on track that is used in WEC or random track. And that final trailer for update will contain Le Mans. We will se today or tommorow.

it has just to do with the trailer i guess, position leds are already present in the game and work perfectly

Just had a look at the First Nations Cup race and it’s just the Group C cars at Le Mans No Chicane. That would be fantastic for a new Hypercar only event. A one hour 24x multiplier worth 1,000,000 Cr.
This ☝🏻

Also wouldn’t be surprised if the special event for the weekly challenge is a ~5 lap at Le Mans in a mixed grid of hypercars and gr3 cars…

As for the engine swap, I’m hoping we can put the AMG gt3 2020 engine in the vantage 2018 to make it better on fuel efficiency. It is already decent on tire so having it drinking less fuel would make it even more competitive in the WTC800…

No offense, but this sentiment is definitely a you thing. The most fun custom races that I have are with the faster cars. The few times there's a GR2 or GR1 Sport Mode race, I hold my own. But, to be fair, I've left Sport Mode for a few months now in favour of custom races with these cars that you say "suck"

Go build an old F1 grid. I find 1995 to be the best one. VERY fun, and no Sophy required, so you have access to all the tracks.
not really bud, its been talked about multiple times by two of the best controller users on the game, that it's much harder to be competitive on controller as the down force increases, probably due to the way the steering works on controller.

Whether or not they can be fun is besides the point.

Go get a group of A+ together in a custom lobby with wheels & controllers. Have them all compete in GT3, they'll probably be somewhat close, I suspect wheels having a slight advantage.

Now go do the same thing with GR1 & I guarantee the gap between wheel users & controllers increases.

A DLC focused on drip fed cars that only really benefit one piece of hardware when it comes to competitiveness isn't exactly great.

Again, thats from two of the best controller users, from their own mouths when talking about limitations of controller & how it's steering is implemented (I can't remember the specifics, but something about steering having a maximum turning angle that progresses in increments through a corner, as opposed to the smooth steering of a wheel)

Either way anyone that uses both devices knows exactly what it is, hairpins are where you notice it the most.

Cool story bro.

Lol, of course you have nothing to say.

Also A+ so not sure what the point of posting rank was ... Ignored 🤡
Oh, you want me to speak Mr....36 posts ok
not really bud
First off, I'm not your "bud" - I don't know what it means where you come from, but up here it's an extremely offensive term. Tone means everything, and text does not convey tone.

Let's take a look at your original comment

The ridiculously fast GR2 & better cars always seem to suck on controller, as far as actually being competitive with them.
I will repeat, and I am sure much of this community will concur (that means agree with me) that "suck" does not describe the experience of the faster cars.

As noted, I'm A+. You are allegedly A+...so, looks like the competitive issue is relative. 1% of this game's players are A+

Seems pretty competitive to me.
Whether or not they can be fun is besides the point.
Sure, I love playing games that are not fun...great use of my time. I'm curious, what did you imply by saying they suck? Maybe I misunderstood.

As if the daily races isn't already exactly this? There is a MASSIVE GULF (that means a big space) between one input having an advantage over the other, and one being competitive while the other is not. Maybe you don't understand the English language. I hear y'all call it American... which in itself is strange since Spanish is the most spoken language in the Americas.

There you go again.
Again, thats from two of the best controller users, from their own mouths when talking about limitations of controller & how it's steering is implemented (I can't remember the specifics, but something about steering having a maximum turning angle that progresses in increments through a corner, as opposed to the smooth steering of a wheel)

Maybe you should do a better job of paying attention. Are there differences? Yes. Is the steering implemented with a smoothing algorithm that prevents the same degree of precision that a wheel can provide? Yes.

Is that stopping anyone from being competitive? Relative. In a lobby full of A+ drivers, I hold my own with a controller. Am I going to win some tournament against the best of the best? Probably not, but I wouldn't win it with a wheel either.

And NONE of that negates the addition of these cars ESPECIALLY when this community has been asking for this kind of update for years.

But..36 posts in...you wouldn't know that.
