What's this I hear about a torture scene you are forced to participate in, with no skip option, that is so bad every reviewer is pointing it out and saying it is one of the worst in a game ever, and on top of that, even the reviewers had a very difficult time with it??



I like how IGN summed up their review with the last sentence. "It is one of the very best video games ever made."

Great news, was not a fan of GTA4s on ice driving.

Again, I love the driving physics in GTA4, very realistic. What I have seen in video so far of GTA5 has me worried that they injected way too much arcade into it.

Guess I'll find out on Friday...

I don't want uber-arcadey physics, as in Criterion physics as that would detract from my enjoyment. I'm thinking somewhere between GTAIV and Midnight Club LA, that would be the sweet spot for me.

There is a video of it on YouTube, without any spoilers. It's surely not nice to watch, nor will it (possibly) be good when that kid, in the video some pages back, sees it...

I might make it sound like it's worse than it actually is, but I can say the victim walks away from it without any dangerous damages.

Seriously though, even if I do have time to go and pick up a copy tomorrow, I'm unlikely to get more than an hour or two in before the weekend, and that'll probably be take up with the install.. But I'm not too bothered about it, I'd rather take my time to enjoy it, rather than try and cram it in now. GTA is something to savour, not to be rushed...

Well, Also just go my copy for Xbox360. The game will be great, no doubt about that. liek the gameplay etc, but graphics... I wish they'd anounced a nextgen version for launch, this game desperatly needs nextgen technology:

It looks lowres, aliasing all over the place, the framerate feels like 25fps at best, pop ups and there could be more people, objects etc to make it feel like a vibrant megacity.


If you don't move, it looks ok or even good, but as soon as you start moving it gets downhill pretty fast. No suprise though, openworld and 2005 technology doesn't go hand in hand too well. Too bad...maybe the PS3 version is superior, but even then, so close to nextgen and so far no confirmed ps4/xbone version. They should have aimed at a late November release fpr current and next gen, regarding grafics, huge mess imo.
