What are your favorite activities to do in the game?

I like to take Trevor hunting, and Michael/Franklin to the golf club. I've also done some of the parachute jumps, and they're quite fun.
I spent quite a bit of time hunting and golfing. Also spent quite a bit of time modding cars. Not sure if any of you know this but the more times you finish all 9 holes of golf, the more players you can choose from in the single player to golf with. You can have up to 4 total players in the campaign! I think they did an amazing job with the golfing in this game. Especially since you can either walk to each hole to build stamina, drive your cart to the hole to build driving, or just fast travel. I have always enjoyed golfing games like Tiger Woods but I think R* did an amazing job with the GTA5 golfing. Really hoping we can play up to 4 players online. *please no spoilers* I don't know yet and waiting to see.

The hunting is fun too. Especially to hear what Cletus says. I want to hunt further away to see if other new animals appear. Not sure how many animals this game has. I know you can shoot birds but has anyone found birds while doing the actual hunting mission? I am trying not to spoil it for anyone that has not met Cletus yet.

Running over a dear with a Pickup is hunting right?

No, but I did manage to get couple $ by this lady. I mean she was near a dear to so.. technically speaking I got couple $ for taking her money :P. So I got money :PPP
Still technically not money from the deer. You got money from murdering someone. But haha touche' :)

It didn't.
Exactly. Lets not get into this again. Its beating a dead horse that's been beat for probably 7 or 8+ years in other games.

I just realized I have not been up in the blimp yet. I need to check that out sometime. I also need to work on my tennis skills because I was very rough at that.

I'm really annoyed that I have finished the story...

...by doing option B - which was to kill Trevor - after discovering that if I chose option C (Deathwish) keeps all characters alive when I initially thought it would cause Franklin to be killed. So now I cannot buy certain properties or do some activities to achieve trophies that can only be done with Trevor.

On the bright side, at least I get to play the brilliant story again:tup:

R* offers to take your money in exchange for an advantage in-game. That's the very definition of pay 2 win. You may not want to call it that, but that's for you to decide. It's the same sort of BS we've seen with games such as League of Legends or Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft. And with all of these, there are people whiteknighting their respective P2W-scheme. You're free to do the same, of course. Don't expect me to do the same, though.

It just pisses me off, big time, that it happens to a high profile, full prize title.

/edit: And who cares whether other games did this? This isn't some free to play asia grinder, this is (most likely) the GOTY 2013 and the fastest selling game in recent history.

Only one thing I can think of, really:

I get all that, I just think we don't know enough about how online works yet.

Guns in the game are cheap anyway, so getting money isn't going to help you win death matches. I was under the impression the money is for apartments/clothes etc. Not helping anyone win anything, plus we can all get that stuff by putting in some effort.

Now, that's all assuming the micro-transactions are just to get things faster, not stuff you can only get by paying.
Also I'm not just standing up for the game, I would definitely be annoyed if you did have to pay to get certain weapons/cars.

Eh, I'm sorry - my reaction might have been a bit too extreme as well. I'm generally somewhat sensitive to that stuff, after seeing it happen to some games I've put a bit of faith in.

The way I see it, though, is that R* will want to provide big incentives to spend real money on the game. Oh well :indiff:

For anyone here who is into creating machinimas (No. I'm not talking about that bulls*** youtube channel) in GTA IV, good news! You can still use the old techniques!

These include:
Going against a wall as cover and turning the camera till your character disappears
And using first person view in a small bike/scooter or vehicle without a hood

I agree that the golfing in GTA V is absolutely amazing. I've played a few PGA Golf games and I can say that GTA V is basically a user-friendly version of PGA. I have yet to try tennis, but I've heard it's good as well.

Anyone up for a 9-hole game of golf on October 1st? :sly:👍

Maybe we can have a race in the golf carts. :p

I'm down! I think we should split it up into different teams:
Team 1 drives the older generation golf cart (the one that has working headlights)
Team 2 drives the TBoGT rendition golf cart

Sound good?

Oh also, anyone had any success getting into the army fort? I've tried sneaking in, going in guns blazing and parachuting in, none were successful.

Get a fast car and hope the tank isn't too close to the entrance.

Lmao... I just switched to Trevor and he's just on the ground drunk in a pasture surrounded by cows all while wearing a woman's dress. I wasn't expecting that, I literally laughed out loud.

Yeah, talking 'bout Trevor... I recently switched to him, only to find him in nothing but his underwear, waking up on the side rail of a bridge.

I have about 55+ hours into this game.

You have quite a treat ahead of you. I cant even list all the times I have switched to Trevor and laughed my butt off. There are a lot of random events with him. :)

Oh yes, that's the one with "I thought this was a motel room" (or something similar), right?

Luminis
Precisely! Dude's always good for a laugh.

Saw a gameplay video on YT (nothing related to the story, just messing around). The player switched to Trevor, and found him getting up from the bed with a man and an animal of some sort. Biggest WTF moment I ever had.
