I hated the handling in GTA IV. The cars just felt way too heavy, and I often had to move the camera around to spot what I wanted to turn into.

Anyway, I think "The FIB Raid" was the best heist. Most of the heists with an option had one really good way of doing it, and one not to good way (though it varied depending on the heist). But whether you go in through the roof or pose as the fire crew, "The FIB Raid" plays out very differently, and both methods are great.

Am I the only one who thinks the mission "What Lies Beneath" is extremely creepy?

There's just something about diving off the coast of San Andreas at three in the morning and coming face-to-face with the nose of a crashed jetliner as it materialised out of the gloom that is bloody eerie.

Personally, OPTION A in the last
mission was morbid and downright eerie.

Or seeing Trevor dig up Brad's grave and seeing the poor bastard himself.

I currently have Trevor running around as Stuntman Mike from Tarantino's DEATH PROOF: a matte black Sabre for his car, and for his appearance, a mullet with baseball cap, lone wolf leather jacket, and urban camo cargo pants.

Now I have Michael doing the full MIAMI VICE: buy the cream suit from Ponsonby's, then get the white sports jacket and the black shirt and vest combo, also from Ponsonby's. For his car, the Stinger or Monroe.

I am trying to figure out one for Franklin. Maybe Samuel L. Jackson in SHAFT.

I had Michael looking like Heisenberg on Breaking Bad for the longest time!

IV's driving was relaxing and enjoyable once I got acquainted with it, but getting used to it took forever. Near the end of the game's lifespan, I was able to drive even the big-ass Cognoscenti around the city without any awkward moments. But once you adjust to V's physics, driving in IV becomes awkward as hell.

So, I couldn't think of a film character to dress Franklin as, but I did find that I can dress him exactly the way I do. As part of an attempt to get the $200 million achievement, I bought every single article of clothing available. I found that part of Franklin's wardrobe contains sweaters and chinos from Ponsonby's - and the charcoal sweater with coffee-coloured chinos is pretty much exactly what I wear to work.

I also figured out how to paint cars in McLaren's orange colours: metallic bright orange with racing yellow pearlescent paint.

I like having Trevor in the main storyline for his comedic relief, but I just don't like playing as him that much. I don't like his storyline either.

Michael feels like the true main protagonist out of the whole game. I just never felt the same for Franklin or Trevor. I just like Michael's story and character the most.

Maybe because he's a rich bad 🤬

Maybe because he's a rich bad 🤬

Maybe.

But like I said before, I did like Trevor's funny moments, even if they were morbid or just gross. The first time we see him in the game (except for the prologue), doing something in his kitchen, I burst out laughing. When he did something else outside (Cue sound clip: "Ohai Johnny!" from The Room), my jaw was left wide open, and I was speechless. There were plenty of other hilarious situations I could list.

The first time I found Trevor truly hilarious was when I switched to him and found him flying drunk over the prison and shouting out "sex plus technology equals the future!" with absolutely no context to it.

I felt Michael's story was a little under-developed, probably because it was so closely tied to the main plot. I would have liked to have seen Devin Weston have a little less to do with the others and become Michael's enemy, much like Stretch is Franklin's enemy and Wei Chang is Trevor's.

Huh. I haven't had that switch, or the Scooter Brother one, yet. :(

Also, I agree with you on having Devin develop a little bit more in the story as Michael's main antagonist.

I seem to get Scooter Brothers all the time. It was funny then, but it wore thin pretty quickly.

The best time to switch to Trevor seems to be after "Bury the Hatchet" and before "Fresh Meat". And the longer you leave him, the more likely it will be that you see something uncommon.

Also, I agree with you on having Devin develop a little bit more in the story as Michael's main antagonist.
It seems to be a bit of a recurring problem with Rockstar: they cannot really decide who their villain is. I'm reminded of RED DEAD, where you spend most of the game chasing Bill Williamson, and then Dutch van der Linde comes out of nowhere. You should have killed Bill during the assault on Fort Mercer, then brought his body back to Ross, who reveals that he wanted Williamson alive (which you had specifically been told) because he knew where Dutch was, and that you could have gone back to your family if you had done this. Instead, you have to go into Mexico to find Javier Escuella to get Dutch's location.

GTA V avoids this by introducing Devin early, but it makes the mistake of having him screw everyone over. The game then seems unsure of who the main villain is: Devin or Haines. It could have been avoided with a backstory for Haines: an excellent Bureau recruit with a promising future who was on the fast-track to a placement in Liberty City's Eastern European organised crime task force, until a narcissistic streak emerged and the FIB sent him out to some backwater position. But he got lucky and stumbled onto a serial killer, breaking the case and attracting the attention of Devin Weston, who used his influence to get Haines posted to Los Santos. The Bureau decided to keep him busy by making him the host of "The Underbelly of Paradise", with a five-day production schedule that means Haines can only be an agent on weekends (which is very Haines). This would also give some closure to the FIB-IAA sub-plot, by having Haines in Weston's pocket without realising it, making your actions in "Monkey Business" something in Weston's interest. Haines would become Michael's enemy, and "Blitz Play" and "The Paleto Bay Score" could be merged to become a single heist, paving the way for an extra heist somewhere along the way

Hopefully this will be seen by people (Glitchy GTP12).

Does anyone know if it would be possible to complete the main story line using only the default pistol or other pistols you unlock (Except for missions requiring you to use other weapons)? I remember seeing someone say they beat most of GTA IV's story mode using only the regular pistol.

EDIT: This does sound very plausible with the AP Pistol due to its high rate of fire, and usually kills an enemy extremely quickly.
In theory yes I have done pistol only on Iv. The challenge made it incredibly fun however there are some parts that you have to use others weapons.
I think gta will be the same so I would say this for pistol
the pistol will be used where you are allowed a weapon choice

I actually believe this is another stab at modern politics and public services.
Devin represents the massive corporations Haines is the political system. At points one is in control the other isn't this seems to constantly swap.
In my interpretation of this it represents the grip the massive corporations have on our lives. Haines isn't the villain however is a front or one of Devine many puppets that have no choice but to cooperate.
You see this every day in modern politics with politicians trying maintain good images with the media

So, some of you may remember my problems a little while ago with getting Dom's last mission to show up. Well, I sent a ticket to R* support on the 17th of January, and got a reply overnight...
Barra333, Jan 17 07:53 AM:
I have completed all 13 parachute jumps, but the last mission for Dom will not appear. My completion currently stands at 99.5%, so there is little else I can do to progress anything. I have tried the following:
- Completed 5 or 6 more random events since I discovered the bug, also progressing several game days in the process
- Repeatedly been in and out of GTAO
- Logged off PSN while in game (both in storymode and GTAO)
- Made a quick save, loaded it 3 times, went to GTAO, returned
- Changed characters
- Took a taxi across the map
- Called Dom (I knew that shouldnt work)

Do you have plans to resolve this issue in future patches? There are several threads in the community support, none of which have an official response, and the largest of them (180+ replies) even has a recommended answer which is blatantly incorrect (call Dom).

Before patch 1.09, I tried to reload an old save, but the game hung at the loading screen on all but the auto-loaded save. Maybe you could plan on fixing that too?

Looking forward to your reply
Barra333, Jan 24 07:18 AM:
To add some information, I logged off PSN and was able to load a save which only had 12/13 jumps complete. I completed the 13th and still did not get the mission to appear.

Hi Barra333

support do not have an answer to the game play question you have. If you are having a technical issue with your game, we will be able to assist you with getting the game working. However, I can recommend that you consult with some gaming websites such as IGN.com, Gamefaqs.com or Gamespot.com, just to name a few along with the R* community forums at http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/topics.

Their also has been a recent title update that may have resolved your issue. the following link is to what the update was about http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201672037 If you have any further questions feel free to contact us again

Kind regards

Alec..H
Wow, he actually recommends I go to GameFaqs to get an answer that the developer themselves can't. And where did he expect that I found the 7 attempted workarounds (answer= R* forums, because so many people had the problem.
Luckily, the issue spontaneously resolved, but 'support' is a very loose word for what they are supplying.

Well, I've created a new save for a pistol-only playthrough.

Michael has 3 Veyrons in his extra garage, and Jimmy's unique BeeJay XL.

Franklin has 4 Veyrons. :D

Does one get any sort of achievement by doing that?

Pretty sure you don't. I just want to see if its possible (Except for missions where you can't use it, like sniper missions). I know people have said they've done it in GTA IV, so why not GTA V?
