Only reason my PS3 will mess up is if I burn the lens out.. and I know how to replace them, so, I wouldn't be out of commission long.. plus, I have my brother's PS3.

Which as we know, will probably die in the storyline defending Franklin. Just a guess so don't get too attached to that dog.

How dare you almost bring me to tears just thinking about it!

At first I wasn't too impressed with the car due to the angle of this shot making it look all wonky, but then...

...this screenshot made me reconsider. The flow of the curves on this car really appeal to me. Also that matte finish really adds to the "aggressiveness" of this particular car. Not sure if it might be based off of the Fisker Atlantic.

If GTA V has the same amount, nay more customization than MC:LA, I won't need GT6.

That's like comparing apples with oranges isn't it? Though it's understandable if you can only afford to buy one game at the end of the year.

I am just super-excited about GTA5. It sounds like the game I've been waiting for my entire life. I just hope the graphics look as good as these pictures lead me to believe.

I just want the handling and controls to be better. Cars in GTA IV felt really heavy, and the camera was unfriendly at best. And since the game was seemingly obsessed with being dark and gritty, every street corner looked the same as every other street corner, and so the first few hours were a slog.

If the paint jobs are fully customizable like in MCLA then it's perfect, the customization of MCLA, the animations of L.A Noire, the countryside of Red Dead, the best parts of San Andreas, the best parts of GTA IV and a little more. I think I'll lose a bit of excitement before the game comes out having seen so much of it but the minute I get hold of that case.

prisonermonkeys I think the GTA IV's car physics were good for a sandbox at least, the cars were easy to drive so anybody could use them but every now and again you would get a bit of understeer or oversteer to bring back a bit of realism.

I found the car physics to be really heavy. The camera didn't help much, because all I'd see was the broadside of the car for a few seconds while turning sharply. And when I was turning sharply, I kind of needed to see where I was going. The camera also felt like it was an over-the-shoulder perspective, so the car was never fully centred on the screen.

But Rockstar have said that they have totally redone the car physics, and that it will feel more like a racing game.

I never said it was... It's fun to drift.. and drifting is possible in real life.. so why not? I worded it wrong saying that I hated the fact you couldn't drift, it would just be nice to be able to.

Like in san andreas? Even though it wasn't remotely close to racing games of its time in the physics department, it still was possible (and took a bit of skill) to hold a drift. Not the best but for sure not the worst.

There is one that can drift quite easily imo, the Vigero :sly:.

I really hated how the camera fell behind the car at speed, and how it was impossible to drift properly.

I didnt like in IV how the camera isnt lined up exactly with the car. It is always slightly offset to the left. Its like this in most rockstar games. LA Noire is the same way.

Nice! Some new pics I have not seen yet. :)

Yes the lighting is a huge improvement. The detail on the bike is very impressive for a sandbox game. That yellow car (Cutlass?) is slammed! Since it will have the MCLA customization, being able to raise and lower cars does not surprise me. But that car is very low. "Skyrim ability leveling" has me exited too.

The thing I hated about GTA IV's driving was that the camera was offset when in 3rd person view. I guess that's to help with shooting, but I can shoot just fine when the camera isn't shifted to the side.
Edit: Silver-Sylph beat me to it. Doh!

Also that yellow car is a Sabre GT from GTA IV. Nice to see that returning. Couldn't get enough of the incredibly loud supercharger whistle.

To me, that would be the perfect game... open world, gun customization, car customization, character customization, etc...

I always went around town looking for one :)

The yellow car trevor is driving according to a source from this morning is HIGHLY customized.

Really? Looks like a normal Saber GT from GTA IV. Maybe those tuned versions inn gta 4 were just rockstar practicing with upgrades. Like the sultan rs and that 80s mustang with a body kit but no performance upgrades. Still hoping for a Hot Ring Racer!

Also, that looks like a different hood. Kind of like GT5's colored lightweight hood, lowered(which was stated above), a different front end like Slashfan said, also, a livery.

Sabre GT! yaay

I look forward to throwing that thing around the desert roads until I inevitably flip it over and kill someone. Then run away because that's what people do there in real life.

So many possibilities, I am dreaming them up now, just like I did with IV <3

I think you mean the Sultan GT. It's a slightly modified version of the Sultan. But it is not as modified as the Sultan RS rally car.

That 80's Mustang is the Uranus. The one with the body kit is the Uranus LOZSPEED (Lose Speed).

I think the name is funny.

NEW DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The preview also includes some new info which we've listed below.

"Time will sometimes pass when you switch, allowing Rockstar to subtly nudge the story forward"
The camera is "grainy" when pulling up into the Google Earth style view, during switches.
"They'll each stick, broadly speaking, to one area of the map". [When you're not controlling them.]
The descent when Franklin drops from the Helicopter, that opens the demo, took 3 minutes.
"We're in Red Dead country, then, with the soporific rhythm of hooves on dirt replaced by the whistle of wind through silk, and a new, dynamic score". [The hooves are probably referring to Red Dead, and not confirmation of horses.]
The hotel Michael is leaving during the demo is called Von Crastenburg (I couldn't remember if the name has been mentioned before, though the hotel part has, but I included it anyway).
The ambient score when Franklin descends has a soft-synth reminiscent of something out of the Drive OST.
The view of the land is flatter in the radar/mini-map, reminiscent of a GPS (whatever that means), and three colour meters for health, armour and Special are below it (mentioned before as green, blue and yellow respectively).
Michael looks like a tough guy, in his walk, but his sprint shows his age.
"80's Soul" heard from one car.
Handling is more forgiving, but not "dumbed down".
You'll only be able to switch characters, when a menu overlay appears in the bottom corner during missions. A lot of the switches in mission are made automatically. There are also text prompts suggesting character switches.
During the demo of the Blitz Party mission, Michael, Trevor and Franklin were donning the hockey mask, skull mask and monkey mask (respectively). [Whereas in Michael's trailer they were wearing gas masks; perhaps a development change, or an idea on the choice we have?]
The characters' turning circle is more like Max Payne's, and less like Niko's (so smoother movement).

We're still working on getting high-resolution versions on the images, but in the mean time, check out the standard resolution versions and share your thoughts over on GTAForums!

Good god I might die.

I always thought the Uranus was a Sierra knock off, especially the mafia one with the Cosworth rear wing. I guess it's a mash up of them like most things in GTA :p..
