How 2 indicate:

1. Get out of your car
2. Pull out your pistol (An RPG speeds things up)
3. Aim at the opposite light from the direction you're turning (Right light if you're going left, etc)
4. Make sure you do this to the front and back of your car
5. Get back in your car and drive away
6. Once you have completed the turn, pull out your phone and use the health cheat to repair your lights and heal yourself if you're stupid enough to pull out an RPG and shoot your car.

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

the yellow flashing light when you want to turn right/left or Park are called indicators .I wish we can control them like Test drive.

Edit@CallmeDan I'm sure they can be Mapped to buttons that are activated while driving or maybe a button combination not that big of an issue I reckon
I jsut call them blinkers. Didn't make sense to me the way you worded it. Would be cool to have but isn't necessary.
Blinkers in a GTA game where you're just running from the cops? Blasphemy! I think I'm not gonna stop at a stop sign and indicate that I'm gonna turn right while they're chasing me.

Wait.. that's just my take. Lol.

Want blinkers, go to your car, signal which way you wanna go and giggle all you want.

Lol. Not meaning to be a douche about it.

LOL

Don't quote the (partially) hidden text!

I didn't even notice until I saw this post XD

I would like that actually.... you can map it to the D-Pad (the area with the arrows..) left arrow for left, right arrow for right, and down arrow for both....

Radio, up arrow....wait, if you miss a station, you have to go all the way around... huh.... guess not.

I never really cared if they do or don't add functional indicators to GTA, but if they did the way I always thought the way it would work best would be to have it linked to the GPS system.

Set a GPS location on the map of where you want to go, the route will show up on the minimap and the car will indicate itself before each turn on the route. That way no need have a cluttered controller button layout.

PS: SOOO Hype for GTA V can't wait till September

I will! The next day, after we have discovered some of the map, we'll go around spawning chaos!

@Dan, ............

Lol, that's what I was gonna do online. Discover the map since its all open to find some awesome spots.

I doubt it lol. :P
What!?

There's no way I'm buying this game now. Rockstar have totally ruined it. In fact, I'm going to burn all my GTA games just to show how angry and upset I am over the exclusion of an insignificant feature like working indicators.

Nope just probably only use them when cruising around,It is a needless feature but with GTA having so much features already ,why not then :sly:

Yeah, I know. I wouldn't use it. I was just being funny when I made that post.

Am I the only person who is seeing a lot of similarities between Grand Theft Auto V and Michael Mann's Heat? The armoured truck heist shown in the "Michael" trailer is almost identical to the armoured truck heist at the start of the film (De Niro's crew force an armoured truck to stop, ram it with a large truck, and then use explosives to blow the lock on the back door), and Michael's hockey mask is very similar to the hockey mask worn by Val Kilmer throughout the film.

Now that you mention that movie, it actually seems like that could be Rockstar's source of inspiration.

A recent article I read indicated that the demo journalists got to see contained a mini heist that was reminiscent of the very one that PM is talking about.

It could be a tutorial of sorts.

Rockstar have said that there are five or six big heists throughout the game. I wonder if there are going to be smaller heists that you can pull off, to get you acquainted with skills that you will need for the bigger jobs - like safe-cracking or, say, identifying the best loot so you can make a better profit on bigger jobs - and also to help fund them.

It could open up an interesting spin on the wanted mechanic, with the player getting two wanted statuses: a "local" status, and a "global" status. The local status would be for the player's immediate actions, and would function the way the system does in the existing games. The global status would be affected by the missions you complete - as you pull off bigger heists, the authorities become increasingly aware of your presence. The higher your global status, the harder the missions will be. This would tie in nicely with Rockstar's comments that the game goes through peaks and troughs, with the player executing smaller missions to acquire gear and information for the big jobs, and when you pull off a heist, you start the process over.

This would open up a gameplay mechanic whereby you can pull off smaller jobs to fund your exploits, but you attract more attention from the police. On the other hand, you can avoid raising the attention of the police, but the job itself will be a bit more difficult or less lucrative if you don't have all the skills.

This would also pave the way for episodic DLC. Rockstar could launch DLC heists, with one big job at the centre of it, and a handful of additional missions needed to complete it. It would make for nice, tightly-packaged content like Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare.

I don't care about heists as long as Rockstar gets the RPGs correct. In IV, it almost seemed like the rocket would pass through an object you were shooting at from a short distance, like a car or what appears to be a direct hit on another player.

The RPG was my favorite weapon in IV, but there were so many problems with it. I wonder what kinds of customization you can do to it.

Why is it that everyone is choosing to overlook the major gameplay elements and instead choosing to focus on minor tweaks to existing play mechanics.

They did said Michael loves movies Luke that and that's where he gets his inspiration for the heists. So I'd assume they'd use one of the best movies to 'pay homage in a way'

Imitation is the best form of flattery..

That and they corkscrewed like nothing I've ever seen.

I think it's called GTA Radio. In addition, all the channels are on YouTube, too :D.
That's it. It's not in the app store anymore. Just google 'GTA Radio apk.'
Thanks for the Vice City soundtrack suggestions. I looked them up on youtube over the weekend and found a killer video that plays the entire Vice City soundtrack from beginning to end including all the advertisements. Listened to it all weekend while playing Saints Row 2 co-op. In fact my friend and I listened to it at the exact same time. 👍

This is what we listened to. I just played it on my phone but I eventually plan to download the songs to the 360.

I may have missed it being said, but what do your other 2 characters do when not in use, when not in a mission. Can you find them whilst free roaming and kill them or would they fight back?

The computer takes over the other characters and they stay in that general area. Its similar to what happens in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat campaign. You can take over the other characters at any time. As for fighting or shooting the other characters, I am not sure what happens if you do that in GTA5. Maybe no friendly fire so you cant injure them?

I think Rockstar will do as they did in IV. Though, I'm not sure if you can shoot the "friends" (in IV).

Or they could implement a turn signal system similar to Saints Row The Third where if you plotted a GPS route, the corresponding turn signal would flash when taking a tight corner at proper speeds (not like 150mph ) until you reach your destination.

Two questions.. you can do that on SR3?

..and what in the F is the proper speed? Those NPCs be all over the place on me..

Yeah it's possible in Saints Row The Third. Driving around the same speed as NPCs or slightly faster will get the indicators to flash. However, driving at top speed in an Attrazione (fastest car in the game) will not get the indicators to flash.

And what I meant about proper speed is...well...the same speed as NPC traffic, and not something crazy like 200mph. I don't think we'll have to worry about 500mph tractors and stuff like San Andreas's broken traffic system.

Not sure if this was posted yet but this is the first time I have seen this pic.
A lot of detail inside the buildings. Nice draw distance too.
