Is there still time to pre-order? :nervous: I have never pre ordered before. I don't know which version to get because I don't want to miss out on exclusive content.

You can preorder the day before at most places .

It will, but not right away. R* has planned this out and they are willing to work with Gaikai to allow Online to work with the PS4.

Ahh... I must have missed that information earlier, but now it makes sense to me. I really thought the PS3 disc couldn't be working on the PS4, with V online, as it would hurt the sales, but I guess I was wrong.

Maybe it's just a code that unlocks it on the disc? Probably not cause hackers could find it/unlock it.
Leslie Benzies did say in his interview that it will be a code.
So your multiplayer avatar will appear after two weeks?
Yes.

There won't be any other download required?
There may be a tiny download, but it'll just be a code. We've just got to figure out how that will work with Sony and Microsoft.

Absolutely pumped ! :D:tup:

Shame that it's released just as school begins, hope it won't have too big of an impact. :scared:

On that point - as well - I'm glad to be wrong... Has there been any information on the size yet?

I really hope the gamestop i preordered from is having a midnight release. Dont want to wait all night with the others, but swinging by at the last second to pick up my copy to start the install early sounds like a good idea!

There's still time, I pre-ordered mine from Tesco on Friday,

I already pre-ordered mine copy today from Gamestop. Now time to play the waiting game.

I hope they won't bill me twice since I accidentally backed out and went back to the page and it said invalid order since nothing was in the cart. :scared: This is my first time doing this. So to any veterans who pre ordered before can answer this: Will the invalid order be canceled or should I email Gamestop? Thanks. 👍

Your best bet would be to check with Gamestop to see if two went through, in my opinion.

I've been debating about upgrading my pre-order to the Collector's Edition. I think I'm gonna take the plunge..

Edit: Hey guys, its been a good while.. thought I'd make an appearance.

Any of you pre-ordered from GAME online before??? I'm just wondering if games on delivery from GAME often arrive a day early, or at least on release date? The only delivery I have received came a day early (MW2), but that was from Play.com.

Game is where I have pre-ordered from and was just curious what their track record is like that's all. 👍

Looks like two of the hosts, have been confirmed... I think:

I hope this game will help third person shooter newbs a lot of help, without auto aim. If not, I'll need lots of help from the experts here.

I'll probably buy mine a couple of days after it's been released...

Good luck, it'll be sold out for months lol

I actually like the auto-aim feature in GTA games.

It was a bit annoying at times having auto aim. For e.g driving a car past someone they can simply lock on to you and spray their machine gun, easily killing you and steal your car :grumpy:.

I always swerved and slid when passing any suspicious players in an attempt to beat the auto aim. (My Vigero could always beat it, cause it's awesome :D.)

Online, no. Single player, yes. Not having it will hurt the game IMO. At least make it an option.

From my understanding, there are 3 levels in the game; free-aim, soft-aim, & auto-lock. Free-aim is the one I've read set that Online uses only.

I knew IV had that. Wasn't sure what the deal was with V online.

Yes. It's not like the GTA IV "lock-on-to-fight" mechanic. It's more free in a sense.

Ah. I was playing Red Dead a couple of minutes ago... King of the Mountain with a bunch of friends. The thing about the fighting in that game is that, there wasn't enough variety in the fighting mechanics. Also, the lock-on-to-fight thing is a bit annoying when I'm fighting a gang member and when the gang member goes down, I lock on to the deputy behind him, causing him to engage in the fight. If I lay a finger on him, ALL deputies and sheriffs in Armadillo will come after me. :(

Yep, after searching around, I went back online to their site and canceled the second order and emailed them about the situation. Looks like it is solved now, just waiting for their reply.

Thanks for the help. 👍

Not going to lie, I suck really bad at 3rd person free-aim. But they need to loosen the auto aim if they keep it. I completed IV all through using just a pistol except when you had to use a different weapon, paki on the roof for example, but being able to do all that wasn't skill on my part, was just easy aiming.

Yeah, I think they should just keep auto-aim an option, just like in Max Payne 3. I must admit that in IV I used auto-aim through singleplayer but this time round I may drop it.
Also, has anyone else noticed thats V's shooting mechanic looks exactly the same as the one in Max Payne?

I had always used auto just because it's more convenient but with the custom weapons coming in GTA V I've been practicing with free aim in IV, I found that it's much easier to get kills if you tap the trigger quickly on automatic weapons instead of just holding the trigger and avoid using circle to fire, use your right thumb for the right analog stick instead.
