I often fail to utilise his special ability when the situation calls for it. I've very nearly got away the first time I stole the fighter, before plowing into the nearby mountain.
And I take it the alarm trigger is only delayed if you go in through the back entrance? I've tried the front a couple of times where the alarm goes off immediately, and unless you know exactly where you're heading within the base, you won't last long. Went in through the back once and had about 10 seconds to delve inside the base without the military intervening.

Nope, went in the front entrance across the bridge at full speed in a modded Feltzer. I didn't even know there was a back entrance. I guess because you're moving so fast it takes a few seconds for the game to update itself. I got halfway along the hanger on the left before the stars triggered. Luckily there was a jet parked right at the corner of the hanger so as I say after triggering the special and taking a few around me out I had a few seconds to get in and fly away.

Monotone paint jobs are boring, and since this is a trail rig, and not military anymore, I figured it could use some sprucing up. It's actually a pretty good color combo. Matte Blue, and Matte Lime Green.

I didn't drive through the back entrance anywhere close to high speed though. Every other time I've tried using an Infernus, they caught onto me as soon as I smashed past the barriers.
In the end I grabbed one from the middle of the airstrip, smashed into an army truck on takeoff and didn't have any missiles to avoid luckily.
