The only difference I have seen so far is the file size. The EU version is 333MB and the NA version is 289MB.

Sometimes when there is a difference in file sizes it has to do with a EU version having multiple language options, but as far as I can tell that is not the case for this demo.

Both say it is version 1.00, they have the same menus, same music, same options, and same car.

As for the game itself, I'm still very much on the fence.



Speaking of differences between regional versions of games and demos... does anyone know of a site that tracks and reports these differences?

Does it still have the unlockable Police car skin for the Golf?

It could be the difference in file size is PAL and NTSC coding? I doubt languages would take up 44MB of space on such a small demo.

Actually, it could be that some unused content was left in the original PAL demo by mistake and they've just corrected it for the NTSC one, this does happen a lot.

It could very well be. Most of the time though the file sizes are the same for both the EU and NA versions of demos, which is why when they are different it usually has to do with the content. As far as languages, 44MB is actually not that huge, and additional audio tracks (as needed for spoken languages), can be quite large. Subtitles on the other hand likely do not take up too much space.

For instance, the EU demo of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is 488MB while the NA version is only 342MB, a difference of 146MB. The only difference between the two that I have found is that the EU version included spoken and subtitle languages in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

BTW: This is a great demo, with fantastic sound effects! I have never played the full game, as I heard it didn't get great reviews, but I enjoy the playing the EU demo as it's great for brushing up on my German. 👍

Yeah it's pretty fun, replay value is a bit low but the ultra-realistic physics make up for it.
