As in that massive list of features on the GT website. What if this promised content isn't what we are thinking of?
Just saying, there isn't a guarantee for car/tracks to be DLC...
Call me an idiot but I'm genuinely hopeful about this Senna content. At least one new car (hopefully F1), a time trial, perhaps a tournament, hopefully another chance to make a near eight figure sum, and I'd be very happy indeed.
Idiot
I think people should keep their expectations low. Just two months ago they said we'd be getting a track in February and it's nowhere to be seen. And that was their most recent promise. If they can't even hold to recent promises, while still not following through on older ones, what makes anyone think that Senna content is coming anytime soon or if at all?
I'll believe it when I actually see it. Until then it's just more pretty empty talk from a developer who evidently likes empty talk.
Keep trying to explain, place some more bets either way. Then when it's all done and dusted, you can tell everyone you predicted it all along.
They do it just in advance, Senna race Suit, You can pretend to be Senna when wearing it and driving around track in Kart, THere is no promises of any content, only "enabling players to trace the roots of Ayrton Senna's racing career." and that can be done with current Senna Suit
So no need to reach for the moon..
They know perfectly who glitched and who didn't... I guess its not that a big a deal... Only a few hundred...Either PD are devoting all available resource to the Senna project or maybe they are just peeved that everyone did the credit glitch at launch and aren't buying any psn credits. Or maybe they just up sticks and moved their teams on to GT7 after poor GT6 sales.
There is no spot for the Senna content... We could be getting only a video of Kaz driving the car around the Interlagos and his big smile with him for all he cares..As in that massive list of features on the GT website.![]()
I don't see how it was more strongly supported. It has been only been about two more weeks extra to get same number of patches in terms of quantity for GT6 compared to GT5 but GT6 also has had smaller updates too.
GT6 is looking like it will get DLC support quicker than GT5 did too. I was wondering why you find it disturbing if you think GT5 was supported and with a relatively quick response but if GT6 is even quicker and more supported in its first year potentially then you find that disturbing.
You make good points, but they have made a big fuss about this Senna stuff, I don't think it's something they will pass up. Obviously it wont be here until some time in May since that's the month of the anniversary.
I doubt it's gonna get abandoned THAT fast. Besides GT6 is "technically" complete anyways.
What about the course maker? Did I miss something or wasn't that supposed to be released in an update 2 months ago? Also last time I checked the Vettel Redbull challenge was still locked
Now who's making things up?I don't "act like" anything regarding Sony and PD, that's in your head. I only challenge the assertion that PD is completely under Sony's thumb which is how you portray it consistently in your posts. You have yet to show this is the case with any credibility and yet you often throw it out every time an excuse is needed for why something is not done or is screwed up. Of course Sony has some influence but Kaz also has a great deal of influence and power as well. You or I can't possibly define that relationship without actually being there.
I most certainly do.Do you have any examples of a single person playing both sides of the fence on this? You know, ones who aren't being enormously sarcastic?
I never said that SONY mad PD make a PS4 game first. But I did assume they made some preliminary work on a PS4 GT, seeing as reports indicated that first party studios got their hands on PS4 development kits early on.So which is it, then? That was @Hyland 's point; you can't have it both ways (something you accuse others of having, probably [unintentionally] ironically). Either the choice to go on PS3 was made because of the install base versus massively smaller one PS4 would provide, or PS4 is the big main influence that's cut into GT6's sales; you know, assuming every PS4 buyer immediately dropped their PS3's and won't buy a single PS3 game anymore.
Oh wait, it wasn't a choice PD made, Sony made them develop a PS4 game only to then tell them to turn it into a PS3 game. That was your argument, right?
I most certainly do.
GT6's sales numbers are apparently quite a bit behind where GT5 was at the same point in time. "Proof that the fans are disenchanted and running away from Gran Turismo."
GT5's sales numbers reach 10 million faster than GT4 did, and sell one million copies in 2010. "Sales numbers don't mean squat."
That's something else that gets under my craw.

Technically the course maker is an update, not part of the core game. Also the Vettel challenge should be there cause I have it.

GT6 has received some content in the new cars and extra Red Bull events, but little in the way of updated features.
GT5 received no new content, but added a lot of useful features.
I wouldn't describe either game as lacking in content. What they both needed at release was features. One got them, the other so far hasn't.
Maybe they directly move on to GT7 you meanCan it be that around 1june after support for gt5 is dropped PD can have resources to put out something new? E3 is 10th june.
Coincidence?
And who said that, then? If you can quote it word for word, you can direct me to it.
Actually, GT4 was the hottest selling PS2 game after its release for months. I think the only conclusion you can draw from GTA is that give people a game in which gamers can be evil, they'll flock to it. I despise GTA with a passion, with its glorification of the gangsta world. If I could be a cop in it, I might play it.So let's look at sales holistically as you want to - historically, people rush out to buy the first Gran Turismo on a given console, but never seem to be in quite the same hurry for it's sequel. This has happened without fail, on every single console, PS1, PS2 & PS3.
You have to be kidding. All I do is get challenged around here, and unless I'm mistaken, you've been a part of these discussions. Tell me if this doesn't sound familiar, because I have to run to work.
"Numbers don't mean a game is any good."
"Sales numbers don't mean fans LIKE GT5/6."
"If gamers want a Gran Turismo, they don't have much choice."
You act like PD is SO intertwined with SONY that their offices are right next door to the boardroom, and a money chute feeds into it dropping hundreds of thousands of yen a day. But then when it suits you, Polyphony resides in a clandestine bunker, and SONY suits can't even buy a clue to their secret handshake to see if they're even working on a game from year to year.
You can't have it both ways. And that's not how things work on the planet Earth I live on.
That is what i hopeI just love your " facts over fiction " approach 👍
Maybe they directly move on to GT7 you mean![]()
Technically, the massiveTechnically the course maker is an update, not part of the core game. Also the Vettel challenge should be there cause I have it.

Technically, the massive100 x 100, 50 x 50, 25 x25 ?ever shrinking course maker was trotted out as a major feature well before release. It's on the site, it's on the box, it's on the ads and GT5 had one. Even though it was known to be released after the game I think most people would consider it a core feature.
Then you were not paying attention before the release, there were numerous interviews with PD/Sony personnel talking about the course maker, one with Kaz himself. No, all features from the previous title do not have to be in the next, but generally speaking I think most of us expect more, not less, with each title.I haven't seen any ads for GT6, but the site mentions it as an update, the box mentions nothing, and not all features from GT5 have to be in 6.
Either way, that does not mean PD can ignore it, since this and B-spec are promised updates.
