I'm doing pretty good.

How much do you drive? I do 200-300 miles per week.

2.1, but I'd love to know where they get their info on how much "x" costs in "global acres".

2.1 here too.

Anyone know where we can get another Earth from?

4.5 earths. Our US "footprint" is 24 acres/person, whereas I came in at 20 acres.

Seven of these magical "Acres" better than the average. Meh. Four people in a 2400 square foot house is 6.4? Double meh.

2.9

Good thing not everyone lives like me huh? Wait... how would that happen. We don't have 3 earths, so it's impossible for everyone to live like me. If everyone tried to live like me we'd be forced to find more efficient methods of giving people what they want.

That makes me feel better. 👍

I need 4.8 planets. I lay waste to all you conservative hippies.

Meat? Check.
Fossil fuels? Gimme gimme.
Excessive electricity? Oh yeah, that's the spot.

I think 100km a week to college and back by coach helped my cause.

Isn't it possible for us to use less than one planet?

Looking at everyone here, I have to give my gratitude to Africa.

Yea it's a good thing they make all that food... er... wait... it's a good thing they make all the electricity... er... ok no... it's a good thing they keep giving us their oil.... wait...

What DO they do? Oh right, they consume aid from other countries - like the US.

If Africans wanted to live like we do, I guess they'd have to start producing for themselves. I guess they'd have to find a way to make Africa more useful, and change this website's definition of what 1 Earth entials.

heh, if that's the message you got from this site Dan I think you have greatly missed the point. But funny, nonetheless.

I just ran the quiz again, picking the worse answers possible. The largest footprint I could get (for someone my age from my part of the world) was 31.2, with a need for 17.3 Earths if there were 6 billion more me's out there.

Considering that, it really makes me wonder what you guys with honest answers are doing to get footprints of 29 or so.

I got the point, I just think it's wrong.

Edit: The point is "Our planet cannot sustain your standard of living". How can that be true when we constantly redefine what our planet can sustain?

I think I've got the lowest so far.

Funny? No, a tad insulting. But you won't live forever so people need not worry about you.

No, really - where does Africa come into this? Why should I be "grateful to Africa"?

No, really - where does Africa come into this? Why should I be "grateful to Africa"?

Because they're not producing much - which is why when this website extrapolates your lifestyle on to every single african it calculates that we'd need 12 earths to sustain everyone. It assumes Africa is still not producing much, but that now everyone in Africa lives like you. Same goes for every country on earth with low productivity.

So you should be grateful to Africa because it helps make a fun website like this where you can go to feel guilty possible.

How much do you drive? I do 200-300 miles per week.

I drive to and from school 5 days a week. My school is 32 miles away, so thats 64 miles a day. Multiply that by five and I drive 320 miles a week, and thats if I don't go anywhere after school or the weekends.
