Don't forget that wages in Germany are pretty high, relative to the US (depending on how you take the average...)
But the Camaro is too expensive over here.
I don't really know how much taxes are applied in the European Union, actually I used to think that all commerce between Euro nations was totally free of charge.
In Brazil, the federal tax over imported vehicles is 35% of the total value, however the customs house has another tax, the port has another tax and many other trading institutions have too. So, the total value for any imported car is 300% of the original value ( I was planning to import a used Porsche 911 993 when my finances allow, but unfortunately I can pay only for one car, not three of them.

) As a matter of comparison, chileans get imported cars paying basic taxes, that's what an intelligent tax policy means to population, better life quality, more safety and more satisfaction. We still struggling with the absurd taxes despite of what world says of Brazil, we are deep in the third world, with no hope of getting out of there in the forthcoming decade. Politicians are more used to travel and market little realizations, than solving problems, and here we have the most expressive case of that, ruining our country.
Back on topic, this thread was not meant to evaluate how much people would pay for GT5, it was meant to analyse how desperate they are to enjoy the game. Nobody, in proper mental sanity, would pay $600 in a game, c'mon people.
A premium edition would be good, I would pay up to $100 in a full premium edition, paying more than that is just wasting money in my opinion.
