How much of time do u actually gain by cutting the one corner...?

Fastest I have to chase is 1:15.5, not enough faster to show me much. :ouch:
 
Not a great day for me yesterday, had just completed a 1:15.8(ish) after chasing the current leader yesterday and then found that my time wont be registered :yuck: (under maintenance)

Had another go, will openly admit to using the chicago shortcut and the "standing start" from the run off to gain the last tenth for a silver time... I don't get it, I loaded up the leaders ghost and I can't for the life of me figure out where they are apparently finding grip.... I am on a DS3 so wonder if its a lack of feeling when the tyres are biting enough for some power etc.... I get to turn 1 nearly level, brake EARLIER, turn car in nicely, front suddenly washes out. By this point, the ghost is easily powering out of the corner, no sign of understeer!
 
I did 1.18.867 last night. I am still so far away from the leader and even the gold trophy =( hate myself..

Watched your replay and those small drifts are great for turning back into direction more quickly then accelerating out of corner faster ... good job of putting it all together in one lap but not really my style of driving though.
 
Got a 1:15.478 using DS3, TC=5 AS=Strong
3rd best with the DS3 💡

Yes, it's stupid mistake on PD side. They made very strict rules but forget on one corner.
 
I am totally out of practice and experience on comfort softs, I got the silver on my 10th restart (after about 50 red laps) , but as an unsupported G25 wheel user, this event seems totally out of whack for me. Where the more Aids I turn on, the slower my lap times, perhaps that's just me.

I turn em all off, including ABS 0, and churned in a chicago approved 1:19:025 with featherweight on the brake pedal, really long decelerations (really bad for good lap times I know) Nabbed the silver at 550th leaderboard, I'm happy at that, sort of.

I am really beginning to fume at the lacking G25 brake pedal support, when every single Mercedez / GTWorld event is using these wheels in their podiums. (And why aren't they using the T500RS ?!?) Beyond my understanding, PD, but that's just an unsolved mystery and I'll let it at that.

I also learned today, (TIL) that, we can still cheat in RL (DC) and with enough money (Mercedez) get away with it all.

I did lo 1:19:3xx with DS3 and 1:18:5xx with Logitech GTPro wheel.

Will try again later today, so close for the gold :)

I drive just with ABS:1 everything else turned off
 
Today i got 1:16:855 with my DS3, Sector 3 was very good, but can improve in sector 1 & 2. So around 1:16:1** seems possible.
 
1:19:334 on my DS3 after about 10 successful attempts or so.

All aids off, ABS 1.

I watched the top lead's (as of last night) replay for the 1:15:xxx and I realized my faults. He kept some, if not most, of the lap in third gear. Reminds me of that Top Gear episode, forget which, where the guest did a whole lap like that.

Its unreal to see people doing 1.15's with the DS3 ,i done a 1.17.6 myself and doubt i can go much faster, even switched to using analog instead of d-pad for this event and stil can't go any faster, great trial tho best one yet,

Oh and ... TC 2, ABS 1 all others OFF
 
This is really a good challenge. Only 1:22 something with my DS3, but I'm reallying enjoying it.
 
So far, 1:16.5 with DS3 (directional buttons), but sector three is still a disaster for me, just can't brake at the right moment at the end:crazy:

Pales a bit when you see the times in the 14's tho
 
I spent about a half hour last night on this and the best I could muster was a 1:23:XX with my DS3. I need to learn the track better, as I haven't spent alot of time on it since getting the game, but I'm pretty sure I can gold it eventually. I need to get better at the braking and turn-in points.

I won't come anywhere near the top of the Leaderboard, but it will add to my overall driving experience at least. :lol: 👍

How do you get out of Chicago and Hammerhead with a pad? I keep upshifting to 3rd otherwise the thing turns into a hydrogen bomb on Comfort softs....

Does it not remind you of the Lotus Challenge in Special Events? I feel this car should have had Sports Hard Tires. There is no way a SLS has cheap tires with that much HP & rim size. Does anyone know the equivilant from real SLS to what tire type in the game? I also tried with the DS3 & could not beat my wheel times. 118.8
BTW: I've been getting 117.2-117.8 lap times (DFGT) All Aids OFF ABS-1. I'd be happy to beat DC's time.

I think they should've split the rankings between the people who didn't use any aids and the people who did.

I have been thinking this for a long time.
They should have leader boards for Individuals who use certain driving implements also.
I know you can click on a persons ID and see what they used but its very hard to find people in the top 100 who use D-Pad X an Square?

Wheel approximately 2.3 seconds faster per lap. Than a D-Pad and X-square?
Stick control approximately 1 second faster then the good old Directional buttons and X Square combination.
Would be nice to compare to others who have the same setup has yourself.?

My best recorded lap so far...1:17.395
My best un-recorded lap...1:16.789 <-- Was practicing after a horrible first lap, so it was in the red, but otherwise completely clean.
I don't cut any corners or anything like that...All assists off except ABS.
Using DS3 with Analogue sticks for throttle/brake/steering

Managed to revive me PS3 :)
