You mean FC3S?

Another typical night. I didn't use the FC tonight, it's not finished yet. I pulled a drift where my car was past the "perpendicular" point, I got many complements on that one. Nice FC... very clean... but an automatic...

The FC3S RX-7 is complete... The 20B-REW with minor work done from my dad's shop makes on the dyno a whopping 305ps @ 6700rpm. It's very fast. I ran some OK times at Tsukuba, but that was using grip techniques which I don't use very well. The aerokit I put on the FC is the RE Amemiya FC kit with the high downforce rear spoiler. Not only does it look awesome, it's actually one of the best performing aerokits made for the FC's. The Starion is finished as well. The SOHC 4G63BT is pushing about 230ps (rough estimate), the body is perfect, interior perfect, engine perfect. I didn't do much work on it, because my friend wanted to try and restore a car on his own (since I built his AE86 from the ground up). We'll time for work... early shifts aren't fun.

-Tom

Nope, if you read the posts a while ago, I don't have a digital camera or a regular camera. Sorry, the only pictures I have is of my AE86 that's in my website.

-Tom

Hi... my dad installed his new interior (HE ASKED FOR MY HELP!!!) and it's so awesome. Basically it's just a sheet of carbon fiber, with his digital instrument cluster, and the necessary gauges. He fixed his digital tachometer which is the reason why he got the new interior. If you see on my website, he had a very... messy interior. The new change is much better, and it saves a little weight due to removal of the 500 gauges he had.

-Tom

Having read up earlier, I can see why your dad asking you for help would be a fairly big deal, so that's pretty cool. The new interior sounds good... tidy is good, we like tidy.

  That's funny. The main reason he needed my help was to rewire the gauges with his beautiful engine. I asked him to buy a camera, but he just ignored me and told me to shut up and continue working... Whenever I see his car... all I can think about is his damn engine... We're both going tonight to the touge and hopefully he will race (or just show off his new interior). I want a rematch with the only person that has beaten me. He comes out once every month with his silver BNCR33 and only challenges older FR cars (AE86, S13, etc.). He beat me twice, and it's my main goal to beat him in the downhill battles. Though I doubt I'll see him tonight. Well I'm bored, time for LFS. If anyone plays, we should meet up in a server. I've gotten very, very good at drifting.

-Tom

And that's post #701... this thread has gotten huge since I started from post #50 I think.

listen dude, no i dont mean FC3s, FC3S= FB 1st gen cars. Mines an S5 with the circular tail lights and all the luxury options and the more powerful engine.!

89 RX7, 231hp
LMAOROFL!!!!!!! even the very very rare savana infini's dont have that much most ever to come stock in an FC is 215HP. and thats with a turbo.

and also, you need to come to our club, www.rx7club.com we have a big car show in my home town every year called rx7 revolution its rotary revo this year, so check up on it at our club, and what ever you do dont wing your car, it ruins the handeling of thies cars and makes them look terrible, + it gives rx7's a bad reputation , the rx7 is not an AE86 or honda civic the rx7 is an expermential rotary car(hints the rx) there for everyone should have respect for thies cars.

LFS! I need to purchase the full S1 version, but I do play.
Speaking of the RX-7 FC3S, I saw one drive past today. I was pretty mildly shocked, because I simply had no idea that anyone in this town would own one. Looked to be a pretty old model, but it sure was nice.

last week i saw an S5 version, first time i've ever seen one. and man that **** looked awesome. looked exactly like my FC in GT3

Don't "wing" my car? If that means what I think that means... I have raced every car that I've built. I'm not turning the FC into a drifting car. The 20B-REW is too heavy and disrupts the weight balance. I know that the FC RX-7 is an experimental car, but people here race them all the time. I don't think we have the S5 RX-7 here. I've never heard of it, so it's probably an U.S. only car. All the FC's are FC3S's over here. Please don't get mad at me, because I don't know anything about American cars...

Deity of Drift... you mentioned that you do battles on touge... what kind of battle is it?? is it a grip racing to the finish line battle... or a "drift" battle??

I wouldn’t buy a truck engine in a GT-S for that kind of money. Better of with the 240sx, better balanced.

By the way, just finished the arduous process of reading this whole thread did not wont to post until I finished. It’s nice to have Tom’s input and his perspective; it gives us all a new perspective on cars, and insight into the Japanese racing culture. Keep posting Tom!

Most people use grip techinques. I drift 80% of the pass. I'm not sure on how to explain why I drift on it... I'm just faster when I'm sideways...
whoa cheq this out a 86 hatchback with a turbochraged tacoma motor http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/...r=&cardist=2566
It's ugly...

Thanks for the feedback. I will definately keep posting here.

Deity of Drift... I don't quite get it... ain't grip supposed to be faster than drift?

you're racing downhills right?? is it because its downhill, and so drifting could be faster??... p/s: I saw a video of Keichi Tsuchiya passes a car on a downhill corner in a race by drifting...

It all depends. I started out with grip driving techniques that my dad taught me. He said once I get good at grip, he will teach me a new form of driving. All I know is, I'm fast drifting in any course. Whether it's a touge, a circuit, etc. I've pulled better times by drifting. I only race downhill... the GT-R's would kill me in the uphill. Yeah Keiichi is good... he's my inspiration to go faster and faster.

lol hey i just registered, yeah this is depressing i recently started to get into the drift scene and cars in general. However, my parents bought me my first car and its an auto FF 96 saturn. soooo all my hopes of driving anything remotely close to something good have been shot.

made by GM, just an economy car. only thing it does well is gas mileage. I just got a job though so i might save for awhile and buy a 240
