You mean FC3S?Originally posted by Mephis
i drive an rx7, if anyone has read my post you have seen many pictures of my beautiful FC5S
Having read up earlier, I can see why your dad asking you for help would be a fairly big deal, so that's pretty cool. The new interior sounds good... tidy is good, we like tidy.
Don't "wing" my car? If that means what I think that means... I have raced every car that I've built. I'm not turning the FC into a drifting car. The 20B-REW is too heavy and disrupts the weight balance. I know that the FC RX-7 is an experimental car, but people here race them all the time. I don't think we have the S5 RX-7 here. I've never heard of it, so it's probably an U.S. only car. All the FC's are FC3S's over here. Please don't get mad at me, because I don't know anything about American cars...Originally posted by Mephis
and also, you need to come to our club, www.rx7club.com we have a big car show in my home town every year called rx7 revolution its rotary revo this year, so check up on it at our club, and what ever you do dont wing your car, it ruins the handeling of thies cars and makes them look terrible, + it gives rx7's a bad reputation , the rx7 is not an AE86 or honda civic the rx7 is an expermential rotary car(hints the rx) there for everyone should have respect for thies cars.

Most people use grip techinques. I drift 80% of the pass. I'm not sure on how to explain why I drift on it... I'm just faster when I'm sideways...Deity of Drift... you mentioned that you do battles on touge... what kind of battle is it?? is it a grip racing to the finish line battle... or a "drift" battle??
It's ugly...whoa cheq this out a 86 hatchback with a turbochraged tacoma motor http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/...r=&cardist=2566
Thanks for the feedback. I will definately keep posting here.By the way, just finished the arduous process of reading this whole thread did not wont to post until I finished. Its nice to have Toms input and his perspective; it gives us all a new perspective on cars, and insight into the Japanese racing culture. Keep posting Tom!
It all depends. I started out with grip driving techniques that my dad taught me. He said once I get good at grip, he will teach me a new form of driving. All I know is, I'm fast drifting in any course. Whether it's a touge, a circuit, etc. I've pulled better times by drifting. I only race downhill... the GT-R's would kill me in the uphill. Yeah Keiichi is good... he's my inspiration to go faster and faster.Originally posted by Stanley^Carter
Deity of Drift... I don't quite get it... ain't grip supposed to be faster than drift?
you're racing downhills right?? is it because its downhill, and so drifting could be faster??... p/s: I saw a video of Keichi Tsuchiya passes a car on a downhill corner in a race by drifting...
