Just what EVERY company wants to do! Buy an unsuccessful company to acquire a product line they know absolutely nothing about, because they have vaults full of money to throw away.
It's very difficult for a low-volume builder to be successful. They made their own bikes, mostly with other people's engines, and had a VERY expensive product. Google "V Due" if you want to see how good they were[n't] with their own engine.....
At one time they had 7 or 8 models available. I've always loved the TESI bikes, with the hub steering front swingarm. But the cost to develop new models when you only expect to sell a few hundred of each is just goofy.
And it continues with the new owners. BMW engine in a new chassis, couldn't build enough of them to stay eligible for WSBK racing. More money down the toilet, or will enough people want a bike with styling that's a bit dated running an engine from a bike that's thousands cheaper (without actually being cheap.)
