No i dont think any of them are. Not remotely.
I drive with them on because i like a proper pedal to the metal thrash, where i mash the throttle and i know the back end will stick, its more exciting IMO. With it off im tip toeing round, not knowing when to put the power down and i just dont enjoy it.
I'd say that 'noobish' is doing anything that is more appropriate to a beginner than to someone with more experience. That has to include using the racing line and grip aids like SRF. If you don't have time to memorise the tracks, I'd say that was a defining feature of someone who has less experience of the game than is required to play without them. QED.Running the racing line isn't "noobish". Not everyone has time to memorize the tracks.
phil_75Use slower cars?
Stop tuning everything to the max?

BTW, for anyone thinking this doesn't have any effect, did you have a serious go on the recent GTR seasonal, where it was forced on?
S'funny how some people can justify their own opinions with the 'maturity' card, while denigrating those of others. The op asked what people thought. This is what I think. Ergo, it's a legitimate response, as is yours. Unfortunately. Then I would say that this attitude is noobish because experienced people understand that the preferences and situations of other people change frequently and are different than that of your own. Throwing out such judgmental opinions of other people shows that one lacks the developed perspective of a more mature, and experienced person.

Srf is for people who cant drive, simple as that! Why else would they use it unless they a newbie or useless at the game. Lobbys where Srf is allowed tend to be full of rammers and cheats too.
I don't see either as noobish, the only people who seem to think they're better than everyone else just because they don't use a certain aid or two. Honestly, most of these people tend to be jerks (I guess I have to be polite).
People can choose how they play their game, ok maybe not everyone can get the top lap times, but is that the only thing the game is aimed at? No. It's aimed at driving just as much as racing, if you want the game for a cruise around some nice tracks, take in the scenery and drive the cars you want, who should judge you just because you use SRF or driving lines?
Pagey279As i have said i find the game more enjoyable with SRF on, and before you say i cant drive try and beat my lap record around Nurburgring 24hr in an FGT, i set a 6.07.9. You will soon find that i can indeed drive.

If you were any good at the game you wouldn't use it, the reason you enjoy the game more with it on is because it makes the cars easyer to drive meaning you can't drive them very well without it. Why don't you take that fgt in a non srf room and see how far you get, not very well I suspect.

You have no idea how well i can race without SRF, so dont pretend that you do.
I race in an online championship with no aids apart from ABS and active steering, and i am winning.
I will take the FGT round there without SRF and i will post my times.
In the meantime you can take the FGT with SRF on around Nurburgring 24hr and beat that time, if you beat it then you can look down on me all you want.
I play the game how i want to, simple as that. Your elitist views do nothing other than make you look a fool.
