Its official, NA Release = Feb 22nd

usually when a game has a release date the stores that ordered them have already gotten them in stock a day or two before, but there are times when ive been into eb and they were waiting the day of the release for ups to show up, most likely the stores will be ready!!!!!

Yeah, I work at a gamestop, usually what happens (unless its an odd occassion like halo 2) differant parts of the country usually on a later date.

EG:
Ship date is the 22nd
Which means we'll all be playing it the 23rd (at least thats MO)

We usually get our Shipments around noon the day after the ship date, but sometimes (and this may be the case for GT4) we may do runs to pick up the Shipment from the Airport instead of waiting until the next day so that way we have it at open, or around/before closing.

Some people will have it the 22nd, some the 23rd-24th, Im not complaining at ALL its comming 4 or 5 weeks earlier then I thought

Lets just hope that we get some news on whats comming in our version!

Will this release include , the enhancement made to the PAL release?.. this would be a real let down if garage cars , were not open in two player racing in arcade mode...

yes that is really a downer. i am pretty mad of the fact that there are no more two palyer garages. sadly that means no more two player drift vids for me 🤬

dont fret, all may be good after all. If PAL is getting upgrades, you know the US is too, they cant do us like that

I am still not convinced that PAL is going to get all these upgrades unless I see an official Sony announcement. I assume there has not been one? looks like I might get to play an English language version of the game before the end of the month... by the time my pre-order gets to the UK.

This just in!
Another Hyundai car for Korean version revealed today.
SCEK says 17 more cars will be added from Japanese version.
5 of them are going to be Korean cars.
Then all PAL cars are NOT going to be included???
This time, it's just a little car, but Pholiphony will surely surprise me until end of Feb.

That's cool. I wasn't bothered about delays anyway. A little p*ssed off at first, but didn't think the world was coming to an end or anything. This was all I did. I just hung in there, and let time roll by. For a black guy who tries not to get upset about stuff, I was pretty mellow. Mellow as crap too. I'm really looking forward to this game. So I'll be able to check out college basketball's March Madness knowing that I have a chance to finally own Gran Turismo 4 (not that they are related in any such way)... whenever the date may be. Little things to bother the game's success? Hey. If Half-Life 2 and Fable were delayed to become great games, I don't see Gran Turismo 4 getting bashed on much. Korean GT4 will have 17 more cars
There will be 9 Korean cars but 4 of them are what's already included in Japanese GT4.
Therefore 5 new Korean cars + 12 PAL cars will be added =17 cars.
And that looks pretty much final.
And it's a bad news for American.
I think those 12 PAL cars are also for NA version too.
(12 PAL cars = Global bonus cars)
They already have Chrysler 300C right?
If lucky, just couple more American cars will be added hopefully.
(and those 5 Korean cars that I believe will be excluded)

That's fine - as long as the bugs are fixed. I can't imagine PD releasing the US version without fixing what they have already said they would fix in another version, so I am going to be hopefully optimistic, cross all my fingers and toes, and wait until SCEA tells us for sure.

You may want to look back on past SCEA actions. Just like PAL and JAPAN/NTSC gamers we too got GT: Concept and GT4: Prolouge, or maybe we didn't.

I do hope that SCEA for once has come through for us here since they have neglected us so much in the past.

Thats pretty whack for a GAME store to not have the product on hand the Tuesday of the release. I used to work at Target and we always had movies/games on the Tues. We would usually get them ahead of time. But some of the big ones would show up around noon on the tues.

I was thinking about buying one copy of GT4 and delivering it to somebody in the US (some friend from GTP 💡 ) and them this good soul would FEDEX it to me... Please? Please? Please? I know it will be very difficult for one to stop playing and talk to the FEDEX guy for a couple of minutes, but that would be a huge favor for me...

I'd be willing to help you out here ppucci but you would need to:

1. Make payment via Paypal to cover the cost of the game....PLUS
2. Include the extra cost to cover shipping charges from California, USA to you.
3. Wait until payment has been received & confirmed on my side before I send the game, then wait the extra 2-3 days for the shipment to actually show up on your door step.

I agree, the only game I can recall actually being in back days before its release was Halo2, as for that and a selected few others (GT4 could very well be one) we usually get them the day after its official release, but I think its Overnighted Fed EX or something, its fairly consistent. but having it a few days early would be nice.

My mate who works in GAME told me yesterday that they put out the GT4 sleeves yesterday (with 'Coming Soon' and/or 'Pre-order today' etc. on them) but still had loads of folk rushing to the counter, thinking that the game was out yesterday.... If everyone is so worried about getting there game on the 22nd you really need to think about preordering on the internet. EBGames, where i preorder I get the day it comes out. Halo 2 was at my door step at 11AM the day it came out same for GTA:SA. You do have to pay for 1 day shipping but what's $9.99, chump change.

Well as that is an alternative, alot of people including me are about 1 1/2 hours from the nearest gamestop/EBgames. We only have a small Fred Meyer down here and they do not get stuff here for a few days after release date. So Online preorder is my only option to get it the day it comes out.
