Kaido Battle in America!

ive got hakone,haruna,akagi,iroha 1+2 unlocked...so how do i unlock the rest of the mountains? (the game is Kaido Racer =Kaido Battle2)

and i want the Mitsubishi evolution 6 to get unlocked aswell , i only got the Evo3 at the moment+ 26 000 000cr so money is no problem:sly:


by the way which is the higest tuning level of "Engine" "Turbo" and so on?
i mean how much Horsepower have u got out of the Evo3 (Evo at all)
rite now i got like 376ps from the Evo3 is it possible to getmore?? :dopey:

There was a nice surprise waiting for me in the mail box when I came home today..... Kaido Racer 2 (aka Kaido Battle Touge No Densetsu). Has anyone else got this yet? I assume that it is available in all PAL regions now.

I must say it is an improvement over Kaido Racer 1 (KB2). Visually its much nicer to look at and there are more races that just CA races during the day which is a nice change. I'll post more as I play it. I started out with a nice s13 Silvia too;)

i havent got Kaido Racer 2 yet,because in my e-mail yesterday there was a mail from the gameshop where i predordred Kaido Racer 2 ,and the mail said -
"sorry but the game has been out of order/canceld" and your order has been deleted "

isnt the game released all over EU by now? and where did you buy ure copy from? can u link it to me?

Yep oh god yep, I ended up ordering it from http://www.game.co.uk/ because I could not find in any shop. The damn game doesn't even come up on the site unless you search for Kaido, it's not even in the racing game section.

Seeing as i've had Kaido Touge no densetsu for ages now it's nice to be actually read all the bbs/e-mail messages and such. For a change they have been translated fairly well. Apart from the bbs/e-mail stuff the rest has been pretty much left the same, seeing as allot of the menu was in english anyway.

The biggest complaint I have with Kaido Racer 2 is that they did the crappiest job of a Pal conversion since 2001. The game has lovely black borders at the top and bottom of the screen and compared to the Japanese game it's noticeably slower. I suppose if you've never played Densetsu you probably wouldn't notice, but still it's dissapointing that they couldn't have done a pal conversion that actually uses the whole screen. I ended up patching the game with an ntsc selector patch which solved that problem though.

It's a shame this game has had no advertising or promotion whatsoever here because it's still a damn decent game but instead people are lapping up utter garbage like NFS:Carbon.

And good news they ship to europe for like £3, so that should be like a grand total of £13 for what is a game that I would pay allot more than £13 for.

I bought it from an Australian site: http://www.gamehead.com.au but maybe try somewhere a bit more local to first. For any Sydney residnets JB-HiFi in the city had a pile of copies in store the other day when I was there.

It was pretty cheap actually when you consider how long you could play it for. My impression of the game so far is similar to the first KB game. Difficult at first earning money and getting the hang of how the cars drive but I'm slowly starting to get somewhere. Decent starter car options too, S13 Silvia for me. Looks like it supports DFP too.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make your own stickers or do ou just have the option of usig the in game stripes/patterns?
 
is anyone else having problems with the sound on this game? whenever I play, if i skid the tires, the noise keeps playing even after i stop skidding, and parts of the engine banmd will cut out at random...tried buying a new disc (gave old one to brother) but it didnt work either...

Anyway, I've noticed that too. It's just a problem with the game -- Genki isn't known for top-notch programming.

It's wierd, the Japanese releases seem more polished realy. I mean when I first got a hold of KB3 the whole thing felt top notch. But now I have the english translated version, it feels like a crappy budget game due to the slapdash translation and pal conversion.

This is always the problem I have with genki racing games, txr0 and txr3 suffer from it as well. They just seem to get the ****test localisation team possible, ffs they still left some of the engrish menu text (carbon trunk RID!?!?!?! who am i kidding I love carbon trunk rids) and in the new items part I ended up with a stream of text that shouldn't have been there. Eh it's kinda lame to moan about videogames I suppose, seeing as about 2 people will probably buy it anyway.

A car that belongs to one of your rivals, maybe? :) Seriously though, the game names the Slasher's cars "RIVAL CAR 017" etc, right? not quite sure why they couldn't just write its real name..

I got Kaido Racer 2 and a DFP for xmas and I'm totally hooked, damn CAT races to hell though, talk about needing to be perfect.. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can drift just fine, but having to get at least a certain amount of points through every single CA section or suffer instant failure is just annoying :ouch: Oh well, practise makes perfect I guess...

quick rant: the C-west 'full aero' for the 180sx is absolutely horrible, looks like a bar of soap at the front and the batmobile at the back :crazy:

You're right 👍 but we need rival car for some master cup and slashers never loose their cars :dunce:

Cheat exists only in challenge mode not conquest.
 
Heh...got it as a christmas present. (Tokyo Xtreme Racer - Drift does=Kaido Battle 2, right?)

Started with a red Trueno, moved up to a two-tone green S13. I've cleared Hakone, save for one driver, (Soon Soon Soon, a "tricky" with a yellow Atenza/Mazda6,) in one week. Haven't started up on Haruna...yet....

I'm having fun. ^^
 
Time for a drift run!!! YEAH BABY!!



105,000 point CA run down Hakone in a very lightly tuned 180sx. Level 2 everything except level 1 LSD. Running mixmatched tires. (racing front, sport rear)

Edit: did I mention this was in Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift??? lol.

Initial D Special Stage
Road Rage 3 (touge)
And have found a source for Zero: Drift Champ.

The hardest part about initial d and parts of wangan is the language barrier..so I havent played them too much, Im stuck on kr2 for now.
The price I payed for all those games + shipping I could have put a good chunk down on a ps3. Oh well.
 
Progress: I've started on Haruna, though, currently, I'm tuning a black ER34 Skyline (coupe) with red and black wheels. I call 'im Shadow. ^^
 
I just finished the gymkahana courses this morning for the first two courses. Still need like 5 million dollars more for a new car. Im tired of the AE.

I got wangan midnight from a friend in Japan. Ocassionally they pop up in ebay, which is how I got the rest of my games.
I found that Japanese games play alot better than euro/aus games for me. I can choose between pal/ntsc and normal. But pal games the screen isnt right so I cant see the botom two inches and theres a two inch black ribbon across the top. Doesnt hinder anything.
