But PD never promised that they'd be releasing seasonal events every week. In fact, there's been zero guaruntee of any seasonal events. The update simply said that they'd be arriving at 7am PST from now on. Didn't say when. And, as for the events, they have a start date and a closing date. There is no promise that there'd be another seasonal even to replace it. Maybe they're just going to do one round at a time instead of two.

I assume "a little break" means that we won't be getting a seasonal event this week.

Also, it's a bit ironic that you said you hate people that don't keep their promises and then mention Test Drive Unlimited 2, as the Atari promised monthly DLC content with the first game and it ended up being released every other month.

Quit making excuses for them.

Their announcement did state weekly seasonal events on Wednesays. Initially announced for AM and then changed to PM the next week. It didn't use the word "promise", but it did use the word weekly which does usually mean every week. Maybe in Japan it means whichever weeks you choose. Maybe that's why we are so confused (sarcasm off)

That's what I was thinking when I read their post, I also did this .

Personally I think people need to chill out, it's the first time they have been late and so what if they are. Yes I do know about the schedule in the ingame news but it's an oh well response rather than a complaining one for me. It's not the end of the world people.

I wouldn't be surprise if they don't release anymore seasonal events, because it was for a limited time, same with the boost in xp and money from all the races. I guess they'll be no more SE and they'll come up with something new... that will be enjoyable for 2-3 weeks.

If PD was a restaurant, and the the only thing on the menu is a big, juicy steak (GT5) ((advertised in the menu as extra spicy seasoned but afterwards it's clearly the steak wasn't seasoned at all)). You wouldn't get your vegetables, fries (Updates/Seasonal Events) etc. right away, but those would be added step by step. That restaurant would close up shop pretty fast I think. Inconsistency is bad, the steak is still good but will become boring when eaten every single day..

Thats was great! But if PD was a restaurant, the queue for the meal woulg go aroung the block. Everyone would be talking about it, and there would be a couple of guys writing in a blob, all day round, about it...

I think it's pitiful. How long can it really take to choose five cars, five tracks, opponents and that's that. Maybe one hours work for one guy.
They are so lazy it's not even funny. If they cared even little about their customers we would have a craptonn more events.

Don't say i'm not entitled to this opinion. I upgraded my tv, wheel, wheelstand for this, all in all about 2000€ and i feel robbed for the 50€ i payed for this game.
They could easily add 50 events a week but now they don't even give us the 5

If PD really was a restaurant it would take them 7 years to bring you your steak and then after you taste it you send it back to the kitchen.

The more I read about Shift 2, the more I want it. At least, EA puts finished products on the shelves, not like PD...

As many have said before me, this is a very silly comment.

EA Games are full of issues and they have, on numerous occasions, put out games with half-effort and that's just my first issue with them.

Added to the fact that all of their games have almost $0 re-sale value (since you can only use the online access code once and once its traded in, the next buyer is SOL), and that they rarely give any DLC that's free (online would cost $30 on NCAA 11 if not bought new), there is no way that they can be considered in better light than PD.

I can live without the updates, they are just icing on top of the cake, but if the only reason you are playing the game is just for the updates then maybe you should play something else.

I think that problem has been fixed two days ago, according to a news post on GTPlanet, so I may be wrong, but this seems not to be what they're facing right now.

I can understand this because obviously the sheer abundance of leaderboards on GT5 is putting a strain on the servers.

Seriously though what a disappointment this is. Bad enough GT5 didn't have leaderboards and now PD are taking a break. This is pathetic, im only left with the 24hr endurance events and the seasonal time trials were the only reason why I continued playing GT5.

What an epic balls up PD have made of GT5. In some respects I actually preferred GT5P because at least it had the stock time trials. I don't understand PD they spend 2yrs making tracks such as Rome, Madrid and yet don't bother with other important features. Sorry but PD are out of touch with what the average gamer wants these days.

I love how the immediate feeling is "PD IS SCREWING US". People need to have a little less pessimistic view of everything.

ow do you know they aren't forgoing the usual seasonal event (which is getting a bit boring, its the same thing with different cars every week) to implement some new ones (the fact the OCD is filled with rally cars is promising). Maybe they are trying to push the release of the "GT Drivers Club" forward.

Maybe they really are delayed due to the Japanese holiday, and if so then so be it, big deal. I see people here mention that they should just work through because its a global product. Ok lets see if you say that next Thanksgiving, 4th of July, or Memorial Day. They are allowed to have a holiday too, the world doesn't revolve around the US.

2. I worked on Thanksgiving Day because I work for a global organization.
