Oh yeah Halo 2 single player is way better than Socom 2 single player. No comparison at all.

I actually really enjoyed the single player, but a lot of people don't like it because of level design. Different strokes. I HATED the level design in Killzone, but some people thought it was great.

I rented Killzone this weekend. I played online for at least 5 hours and it is quite a bit of fun especially "Assult" I believe thats what it is called when you have to destroy the opposing tems items. The only downfall to this entire game which is a big downfall in my opinion is the ability to jump. There isnt one. You cant jump in Killzone at all. There is a nice feature to sprint fast and the gauge runs out but shortly builds back up again. The graphics are ok but nothing spectacular and the handling is a little choppy as you walk across the levels. Some of the levels are quite huge online too. I was actually surprised how big they were. The gameplay is a mix between Soccom 2 and Medal of honor. Soccom has a lot better graphics though.
If you were interrested in buying this game to play online I would say it is a good buy for sure.

To me its more like Rianbow Six(no jumping) and there isnt much else like it out. Closest would be red faction 2. But yeah the online play is fun. Now i must split time between Half-life2 Halo2 Turok 3, Doom 3, Killzone and Perfect dark.

and in 20 years: the perfect dark sequel! :)

How's the multiplayer? I'm considering this as a buy. Too bad you cannot be the guys with the red goggles. Those guys are cool looking.:sly: A multiplayer review please.:)

Interestingly enough,

In multiplayer you can be the "guys with red goggles." :D

Now, in case you didn't read anything I've put down before this, I am a fan of this game.

Not so much as to say it is a halo killer or anything like that.

However, I do feel like it is the best FPS for the ps2

Regarding multiplayer...
I know nothing about the online game play. Sorry. :(

But there is a great single-player version of multiplayer.

14 ai bots. 👍
Great weapons and no problems with game play. 👍
There is also a great selection of levels to play on as well as a pretty good setup for the ai (they aren't push overs if you play them on the right difficulty ;) ).

I suggest buying the game, but I also suggest renting it first.

Do the rental first please... That way you can't get angry if you buy it and end up not liking it.

Hope to hear back from you after you've played it.
Till then,

Is it a tactical game or is it one where you try to do an objective while you hide behind walls and shoot them?

Its not a Halo killer to me since halo had nothing to be killed imo.

I'm on level 5, just got the last guy to use. I switched to Luger and im getting owned now. I have o idea what the 4th guys special abilities are but he has grey skin :).

About the multiplayer, the online mode is good, lots of fun out of that. But the single player multiplayer or the split screen are no good in my opinion. Nothing about the AI being no good, it´s just that the frames are SO LOW. :yuck:

In online mode the frames are just like in career mode, wich is good most of the time, but in offline multiplayer it´s just unplayable.

Now why in the hell would online play look better then multiplayer split-screen? I thought it would at-least be the other way around. But I asked for a PS2 Network Adapter so if I get that it'll be sure I go online.:)

I think it´s because in multiplayer split-screen the PS2 has to use some power to control the bots, so it sacrifices other things such as framerate.

I rented it yesterday night but I passed out on the bed and awoke at 1 in the afternoon next day and played it today. And boy i'll tell ya, this is a great game! Best FPS yet!

To anyone who played the beach levels. those were the most entertaining levels yet :).
The online assault mode on the beach is unbalanced. It´s too easy for the ISA to win. But I insist on playing with the Helgasts everytime, and it´s one of my favorite maps in the game. :D

Good for you, now leave. This is for people that play/like Killzone. Now go along and play your little Halo 2.

halo 2 is the best game ever, i play it all the time nonstop. Its just so god damned addicting, i really wish i could stop, but i cant. its like gran turismo addicting, but you get to kill people and chat with them and laugh in their faces when you kill them

Blackbird, just because some one doesn't agree with your opinion doesn't mean they can't post on a board. It's a forum, both sides of an opinion are perfectly welcome.

I gotta say though, your mad to think killzone is as good as you make out, it's good but lacks the polish, the scale, the playabilty of the halo games. When you play halo 1 and 2, you can tell that the devs put so much more effort in then in game such as red faction and killzone. Killzone struck me as rushed and abit sloppy tbh.

As you said. It's my opinion therefore you cannot accuse me of being man. You contradict what you say.

Lets be honest, there allways ONE who likes the crapper stuff over the better stuff. Reminds me of this kid at school years ago in the ps1/ sega saturn days. He was CONVINCED that his atari jaguar was better, and ofc he was being daft. This kid is you. Next you'l be saying that rise of the robots is better then vf4 evo...

:dopey:

If you took this post seriously, your stupid.

I'm done arguing with your immature remarks. You contridict what you say so much. It makes me sick and reminds me of my annoying sister.
