👍👍👍👍 and telling us your level in the game makes no difference, my younger cousin is at level 35, but is completely unable to take a corner any more complex than the Indianapolis track. Does that make the car he's driving the issue? Learn to drive it, if you think this car is hard work, I'd recommend you take drive in an old RUF, or a fully modified Caterham or G4. The stratos is a walk in the park compared to those. By the way, how old are you?

I'm level 35 but that kid you're talking about certainly ain't me :sly:

There really is only one bad thing, a really bad thing about the road and race variants of the Stratos...

They're not PREMIUM.

Agreed. 👍

I said it sounds amazing not acurate, it definatly isn't the right sound but its pretty nice.

I wasn't complaining about the Stratos' sound. I think that it's some of the older rally cars that at least share the same startup sound. Maybe a bluebird and a Mitsubishi.

All this "a bad driver always blames the car" is.......probably.....true.:sly:

All cars can't br blamed because you can tame a yellowbird by just balancing the acclerator

Well, not everyone is a gifted driver.

Whoo! Go mods! Now get rid of my rant posts! It makes me look bad

Everybody. Small wheelbased mid-engine cars are hard to handle.
end of story stop whining

I think you mean a wonderful cheap car, that you win from the Trofeo gallardo race, that is a dream to drive on any surface

Is that what you win? But don't worry, I totally don't have three already. (Sarcasm mode off)

People are aware that since GT5 doesn't simulate tyre width cars like this are more difficult to handle than they should be, yes? The Stratos (and the Yellowbird, incidentally) are designed with staggered tyres. GT5 treats them as if they have the same little skinny tyres front and back.

Put one step higher grade tyres on the rear, and the cars behave much better. Still mental and difficult to drive, but not in such an "oh my God, why would anyone have ever bought this in RL" kind of way.

The Stratos, the BTR, and the Yellow Bird are the toughest cars in my garage to coax into putting a decent lap time, well the Formula Gran Turismo not withstanding, but that's part of the challenge. They'll teach you throttle control or you'll go back to your garage crying for a 4WD car.

If I ever want to try drifting, I might choose the stratos. It likes to lose traction when you throttle up too hard, turn too hard, look at the screen too hard, or whatever. But, the slides are really easy to correct, alot easier than some other cars I've driven. The short wheelbase gives it an advantage in the corners. I can take corners extremely fast and drift around them in 3rd or 4th gear. I was practicing at the nurburgring, where I had all the regular supercars there: gallardo, SLS, McLaren, Ferrari, etc. And I beat them all by three seconds.

Are you people driving the stratos in road races? And may I ask, what the heck is loose in your head? ;)

Drove the Stratos today at Eiger Norwand (sp?) and I have to say with surgical throttle control this car is one of the most fun rally cars I've ever driven in Gran Turismo. Period.

THANK YOU! That sums me up!

Tried telling these people that via GT... I guess no one understands me. Just mash the throttle and I will spin loose. Wish cars can talk...
