The lancia stratos is a fun car to drive but with the tune on it, it will be your favourite car

My point is that everyone should get them and possibly tune them if they want because they are a classic that will never get old, it will always be very fun to drive and it has a very special look thats magic:bowdown:

more difficult car to drive more fun factor for me, esspecialy oldschool cars '70s, 80s! More easy car to drive like FF.. I dont use them... boooring!

Okai, after reading soooo many posts about how difficult this car is to drive etc I tested it myself... here my results with the stock Stratos on comfort softs:

- First of all, its a very beautiful car. Wish it would be premium. Second, it sounds great!
- I don`t think its traction is that bad. I tested it with my DS3 (to lazy to build ab my wheel setup). Actually its a very nice car to drive. Its not a sort of car which makes you beat a 458 at the Nordschleife. That car also seems like to hate fast direction changes, later I tried sport tires too, it handled a bit better, but I still had to be careful with my steering inputs.
- It has pretty good brakes, considering its age. I think that this car would beat the 512BB at the same PP level with ease.

IMO its a great car. It requires a little bit of patience, but the fact that its a rather "slow" car makes it very easy to drive.
Really, in terms of "difficulty" its nothing compared to the F40 or Yellowbird.

Love the Stratos, one of many Lancia legends of Rally & track remember this car as around about the same wheel base as a Mini in lenght but is wider & lower & up to 300+ Bhp depending on if its as 12 or 24 valve head installed.

This car did turn rallying on it head back in its days & won three years in a row I think would have won more but Fiat wanted to use a more normal road car for rallying in the late 70,s,

Lancia did admit that the cars was too short thus making it a very twitchy car & thus Lancia,s next Rally car was longer.

A good setup is needed for this car but its bags of fun to drive & has to be a must to added to Prem content along with the other Lancia classics.

There was even a more wild track version with a wider body & a big wing & airdam & also I think it was turbo charged:tup:

Lancia Stratos because it has more personality than the Ferrari.

Lancia Stratos because it's better looking than the Ford GT.

Lancia Stratos because I already have a cheap JDM to tune.

Lancia Stratos because the Aston Martin is just porn on wheels.

Huh.

Seriously, just because you don't have enough driving skill doesn't mean the car is bad, it just means that you are bad. I'm tired of people saying a car is too oversteery because they can't control it. Driving cars is just like sex, all men think they're good at it.

This.

There really is only one bad thing, a really bad thing about the road and race variants of the Stratos...

They're not PREMIUM.
And this. Only problem with the stratos that I admit.

The "problem" with the Stratos & Stratos Rally only exists online. Offline this car handles pretty much like one would expect from historical footage: It is difficult and tricky, but also rewarding. If you can master it, which takes practice, patience and a good feel for car-control, then it can become a true giant killer. (In GT4 I often used the Stratos for the Special Events on dirt or snow instead of an AWD car. Difficult? Yes, but worth it!) Online, however, just like many other cars, the Stratos becomes close to undrivable. The problem appears to be weight transfer bugs with the online physics mode. It's been discussed over and over, so no need to rehash it here, but if you are having trouble with it online, try it offline instead and you'll probably fall in love with it like many of us.

And I agree, the only thing wrong with these cars is that they aren't Premium. Un-freaking-forgivable.

I have to say, there are certain tracks where driving the Stratos is nothing but hard work for me, the Nuerburgring comes to mind. Most of the time, I can't even get down the entire track without major spin out. But, it is the car I've been driving the most recently, in Rome. Using the Stratos (and yes, that's with all the upgrades) in Rome is pure fun to me, and has somehow become my new "grinding" race.

In my opinion, the Stratos is one of my absolute favorites in my garage. Sure, it can be quite a handful but that makes it more fun nonetheless knowing that I've tamed a beast like the Bertone Beauty. Even more fun with no ABS... :sly:

Ah, and to everyone: you have to try it with the Semi-Racing exhaust. It's just pure...:eek::drool:
