when should we expect the flood of footage to come? 1 hour to go till the race is over

I don't know. Its going to take a lot of these people a long time to get home, and they'll be exhausted. I think we will see a slow trickle. One video here, and a couple photos there.

But I'm hoping for a flood.:sly:

Cones flying in the air on that pic. The crowd looks pretty good too, I'm glad they are working on adding the atmosphere to the tracks.

impressione about gt5 demo
Recap:
- Little show with Loeb racing on the GT5 demo alongside Jordan Tresson, winner of the GT Academy. Loeb did 3'33 and Jordan did 3'27
- Only one circuit, Le Mans
- Only one car Peugeot 908
- Only setting you could change is the racing line and transmission
- They note their spun out on their first corner (lol) After a few laps they're accustomed to it and say it feels really nice
- The sense of speed is very present as well as the braking feeling
- Very good sense of the G force even if it's virtual
- On the graphics side of things as usual, everything is impeccable
- PlayStation guys there on site said the build was "latest code, fresh one from the night"

"- Very good sense of the G force even if it's virtual"

hmm does that mean they were playing cockpit view and they're was a bit of head movement?

Does anyone know if the Audi from this years Le Mans is in GT5? Or are all the cars in GT5?

Maybe, maybe not. GT4 had the R8 LMP1 car in it less than a year after it (R8) came out, so there's a good chance it will be. However, I'm more curios as to how PD got the paint scheme/body style for the Peugeot 908 10'. It takes 6 months to design a car at PD, and the Peugeot 908 was revealed to the public in April. This means PD must have had the blue print for it months before the public ever knew about it. Maybe the same will happen with the Audi R15.

No it doesn't, it takes 6 month for one person to model one from scratch.
The livery is not that spectacular and very similar to last years, it might have been finished already months ago.

This has happened before, not just paint schemes but entirely new cars have been modelled by PD before they were shown to the public ( 3-series in GT4 for example ).
And being the sponsor probably helps too.:)

Wow, GT5 nightly builds. Sure is good news if they're releasing nightly builds like that. Means the code is stable enough to be released to the public without major problems. Should mean they are close to finishing it up. But on the other hand it also means it's not done yet...

It's never fully done I guess, thank God there's a deadline, although I assume with full GT5 sponsorship this weekend the game is finished by now.
But we'll probably know more within a few days........:)

The 2010 908 HDi FAP has been racing around the world since March, and was revealed to the world even earlier. The only obvious differences would be the Le Mans specific sponsors (i.e Playstation) and those wouldn't take long to add. Heck even Andy Blackmore got early access to produce the spotters guides.

Also, as Analog said, it wouldn't be the first time PD got early access.

Er, the R8 was years old by the time GT4 came out.

As has been said, it's not unheard of for PD to have access to cars before they're released to the public. The new-gen hatch STI was released in Prologue almost simultaneously with its unveiling, and the R35 had a roll-out tied to GT too. The 908 could've been effectively modelled months ago, and then had the livery added later.

While there's a certain logic to your thinking, you really can't infer anything about the stage GT5 is in, based on a demo coded for an event. I know someone said they thought they were using the entire game for the demo, but we haven't had any word of a sneaky guy peeking at the game menu, so I doubt it.

The French source that Alba kindly translated said you only had two options before starting a race. One was turning racing line on/off, and i forgot the other... lol

Racing line or transmission was what they said was only available

can't wait for some footage....

First video footage in the link below although I'm sure there'll be better videos posted soon, it's not Vimeo or Youtube so I can't embed it.

Err...Alba's going to need to translate the video for us :)

Sébastien Loeb Reaction After GT5 Test

Apologies for the rubbish Google translation

Hello to you all!

As you know, Sebastien Loeb came to pay us a visit in the area of Le Mans 24 Hours Playstation.

It was for him, as the public came in large numbers, the first time he could try GT5.

Moments after the loose steering wheel of the simulator, it was good enough to give us his impressions.

The video here!
