My XP Desktop, I have a 2000 server desktop and a 2000 Pro desktop, but they both don't have any wallpaper.
This has to be a the first time since ages that i've used custom icons.

Meh, the only icon I have on my desktop is my recycle bin, and if I could remove it, I would. Otherwise, I have an auto-hide quicklaunch bar on the top of the screen for all of my commonly-used programs. I also have the start menu and such as a autohide on the left side.

when i'm just using the puter to play music, i hide the icons, real easy, very effective...the rest of the time i'm using it, i'm using the icons as labor savers...the computer is my slave, i'm not its...

I have 4 Icons on my Desktop.
My Computer, Internet Explorer, REcycle Bin, Shortcuts( Unused Desktop Folder) Thats enough for me. 👍

Time for another OS X screenie...

The desktop is from PlasmaDesign.com (it's computer-rendered too!). Max's SmoothStripes Glossy w/ Blue Widgets is the theme ("skin" for the Windows world... note that some of the variations have been ported), the Dreamweaver and Fireworks icons were changed using the icons from Macalicious.net (the stock icons are fugly), various menubar item mods I won't bore you guys about, and ditto the Dock mods.
