@cyber - Yeah the Monaro is a 2-door sport coupe.

Its funny how so many basic cars are taken around the world in other formats, the car industry really area a sharing bunch lol

Just bought myself the Carlton ingame and boy is it twitchy, one minute you think the rear is solidly in place at others it suddenly slips out from under you. I guess the ring is partially to blame as it is a bumpy and tricky track.

i'm into cars so i know a little bit , a senator is a carlton like the same chassis and things but its got a bigger engine and more spec . it looks different because it has a differnt front spoiler and grill and maybe some different stuff at the back . google image search the 2 and u'll c the differences

Vauxhall Senator and Vauxhall Carlton do share the same floorpan, and a few engines, namely the C20NE, and the older 3.0 straight six, but thats where the major similarities end. they looked very different.

Who ever mentioned the top speed record Koiensegga holds the record officaly. I think it was 2-5mph faster then the Mclaren F1. But bugatti has yet to make a run in the new veryon b/c ther are still some issues teh want to work out. *Somthign with the front spillter.

Actually the Porsche 911RF thingy currently holds the fastest top speed at 388km/h. the Coenignsesinosnfoifn has yet to make an official high speed run i am to believe...

incredible
i know this has been told ... i think it has anyways

Vaxhaul is opel, and visa virsa
lotus modified a carlton / omega
this was sold s lotus carlton in the UK
and as lotus omega in the rest of the world

the only thing i dont get is why it has allways been vaxhauls in GT, since most of them are opels out on the streets

Wasnt Opel and Vauxhall in GT2/GT3 both available? I thought that if you tried a different language in GT2, you got Opel instead of Vauxhall in PAL version? or am i talking BS?
Besides, there are no Vauxhalls in GT4 which is a great shame. there are some classic cars that should be in GT4 that arent.

There are, in fact, Vauxhalls in the English language PAL GT4 game.

Ok, I am from Spain and the Lotus Carlton looks exactly like an OPEL/VAUXHALL SENATOR. Am I right?
The only real difference is that Lotus have upped the power, from 204 to 377bhp, and it had got different front and rear bumpers, wheel arches and a small boot spoiler. They are also only available in green.

Guinness has confirmend that the Koenigsegg (it's not difficult, you try it*) now holds the record

And use the edit button. 5 posts in a row? :dunce:

* Although as you can't seem to get FF right, what chance do you have with Koenigsegg?

Imperial Green 👍

There were a lot more changes than you mentioned. The original 3.0 straight six was bored out to 3.6 litres, and garrett twin turbos fitted. The front end was extended slightly to accomodate the engine, and to reduce the drag co-efficient number. on top of the changes you mentioned. Obviously, suspension and brakes were also upgraded, as were most major engine components like injectors, fuel pump, strengthened internals ....

Cybermonkey - Have you got an

button? Making numerous posts in a row is called spamming and the mods don't like it.

In vauxhall there are all the opel cars plus the Corsa and Tigra, there might be others I just can't remember them.

Imperial Green 👍

That's actually not strictly true. There was at least one Lotus Carlton supplied, from the factory, in silver.

Similarly the "only silver" Lotus Esprit Sport 350 had at least 5 not-silver cars (2 black, 2 white, 1 metallic black).

One thing it's for sure the SENATOR and the OMEGA are not the same car, the OMEGA replaced the SENATOR.

Yes, thats true but the Omega did not replace the Senator, it where 2 diff. models that where sold at the same time period. The Senator was then put out of production.
(I the early 80s there was the Opel Rekord and Senator. The Omega replaced the Rekord.)

There where 3 diff sport versions of the Opel Omega in the early 90s each with dif bodykits and performance:
3000 24V
3000 24V EVO 500
Lotus

3000 24V EVO 500

I reckon that the Lotus Carlton's only available in green now, only because there's a good chance the 1 silver one has been wrapped around a tree!

It is supposed to be green, yes.

Was it on these forums where someone had bought a Carlton in Sweden or something, and a worker at the port had crashed it? Maybe it was somewhere else, but I seem to remember that one being red. Maybe it was repainted (sucker).

thats supposed to be green? looks more like black to me.

That's kind of the point.

Imperial Green is a very deep green which appears black in all but the sunniest conditions - or a really close inspection... Most imitation Lotus Carltons (usually Vauxhall Carlton/Opel Omega GSi 3000 based) are black.

If you have an X-Box, check the colour of the plastic that makes up the main body of the console...

I'd have been a replica, you wouldn't want to respray a limited edition Lotus would you?
Does anybody know what days these come up for sale on the game?

strangely, there was a lotus carlton dumped outside a shop near me, nothing damaged just left there the owner musta been real idiot :dunce: :ouch: :odd: :banghead: even if it was immitation it looked damn hot
