New to the forum. Unfortunately I bought the VGT and not the VGT GR1. Is the VGT competitive in the GR1 prototype series or do I need the GR1 version?

If I recall, you'll need the GR1 version specifically to enter. Don't believe it'll allow you to use the regular VGT.

IT does allow me to enter the GR1 prototype series as its PP is below 950 but I just wanted to know if there was any advantage to having the GR1 car? It appears the VGT has more HP and a higher PP but all other specs are the same.

Huh, interesting to know. Was under the impression they would only allow the GR.1 version, but guess not.

The advantage of the Gr1 versions of all the VGT cars is more tuning options, a big one being gearing, you can't put a racing transmission in the VGT only version.

Pretty much why a lot recommend the SF19 for those events.

I use the non-Gr.1 LM55 ever since the PP adjustment. It was beyond 950 back then but now it has nerfed to the point that it will reach the 950 pp limit once you add RS tires and some downforce adjustments.

Very quick car and forgiving on fuel.
