Maintenance last week, now one this week. Wouldn't get too excited just yet, but this is interesting nonetheless.

Not saying anything, but the maintenance start time fits in to when PD usually releases an update, however, as we have seen with the last few maintenances, they do not result in an update most of the time.

Best thing to do? Keep you hopes as low as possible and expect nothing at all. Speculation helps no one.
 
I'm guessing that the next update arrives at December 25th. The reason is that the current seasonals (DT & TT) end that day. And when they close, they've been open for 3 weeks, when they usually lasts for 2 weeks.

No GT6 update has been released, in Japan time, on the same day as new Seasonals arriving. I have no idea why people keep thinking that but as I just said, it has never happened. Plus, let's not start speculating about updates being a certainty as;

Update 1.15 will arrive this week or next week.

But with Christmas, it's more likely that the 1.15 update coming this week.

Next week, would be pretty much impossible, if there was to be an update, as I doubt the would be working to full potential during that week due to, Christmas. So this Wednesday at 2pm AEST or Friday at 2pm AEST would be the two most likely contenders based on history, but, as I have said, just because there is a maintenance, doesn't mean there will be an update.

Putting all that aside, PD did promise the Chaparral 2X VGT sometime in the festive season so they can take as much time as they want up till December 25th ends.
 
I think it's time for the 1.15 release. It won't surprise me if they bring something like "New Year" seasonal events, like they did last year and in GT5 too. It's a good opportunity to make a lot easy and quick credits ;)

In my opinion, we can wait:
GM Design/Chaparral Vision GT
One of the 2 features remaining, probably B-Spec.
A plenty of new seasonal events + the Chaparral 2X seasonal

I can't imagine something else (at least at the moment)

As mentioned, there was a update last week. It was not mentioned officially, but it was reported several times when people tried to log on.
 
Many people can take some "days off" during the festive seasons, right? So maybe this is true for PD too. I believe the best time is now.

Speculation getting to me... As I said earlier, the start of the maintenance time fits in well with when updates usually happen, and if an update is released as a result of a maintenance, it is usually released at the beginning of the maintenance period. Two ticks there. The timing seems right, the day isn't exactly 'foreign' to the update 'schedule' as the last update came on a Wednesday Japan Time, and, PD did say they would release the Chaparral 2X VGT in the festive season and now is the best time as ever so another tick there. As for what could be in there, the last few updates have rolled out the long awaited 'promised' features so why should this incoming update be different, maybe B-Spec? Who knows, but it is up to PD and we all know what PD are like when it comes to surprising us when we get our hopes up. Until then, keep your hopes down.

I can understand why people may associate seasonals with updates because, except for the early days, updates are almost always Wednesday or Friday, with seasonals always Thursday, plus some updates also bring 'seasonals'.
So unless you are a daily player it could easily seem as though they coincide.

Sometimes they regurgitate the original notice from December 2013 for regular maintenance, and re-post it to notify about incoming regular maintenance days.
It's very inconsistent as to how often they do this, but it does happen from time to time.
Pretty sure that was what happened last time.

I think the only 'irregular maintenance' notice that failed was the big double back in August.
All others have meant an update.
Seems reasonable that this will follow suit.

Really? It doesn't seem to help anything, I've never noticed it either, maybe I'm never online when there's a maintenance... or maybe you guys are talking out of your 🤬 :lol:

I know, it's just that none of the previous regular seasonals has had the timeframe of 3 weeks to register online. It will still be available to early January. That make this set of seasonals the one that have been available for the longest time. Perhaps to give PD time for the update. I'm not saying it will come the 25th. It's just a guess. I'm not expecting it to actually happen at that date:)
 
I'm pretty sure this is when the Holiday update will be released. Hell, it was around this time last year that the previous holiday update was released.
 
Normally the update is released in the third week of the month (based on previous releases) so it's possible we'll get one this week. I mean, they do need to add the really cheesy Jazz style Christmas music into the game before Christmas itself, again... Like they did last year...
