What has been the most useless thing you've ever bought?

Mine has to be a Rolex watch, so much money for a damn way to keep time. Oh well its bling bling I guess.

So whats yours....

Nothing compared to a 3,000 dollar watch

a nitro RC car, used it a couple times. got bored of it quick
paid $1000 AU

I wouldn't even buy a $3000 watch.

Probably some stuff that I only used once and never touched again.

- trampoline
- pool table
- game cube
- bicycle
- skateboard
- new Metallica CD

The list goes on and on.

How much you want fo it, no really.
Mine would have to be a silver PS2. I took it back and got a black normal one for a substantial saving.

at the moment i dont want to sell it because i will reuse it soon (after i buy fuel and batterys). i most likely will get bored of it again though.

its a real good one (still like brand new), 4WD, 2 speed gearbox, disc brakes, 2.5cc engine (i had a 3.5cc to replace it but i need to change the clutch assembly so i couldnt be bothered)
$1000 was for the whole kit, which included a good controller, batterys, glowplug battery, good fuel ,spare glowplugs, tools etc
if i was to sell it i would want roughly $500

A Taylor Made Supersteel 8.5 degree driver (golf club). I could never hit that frikkin' thing. I of course replaced it with a Taylor Made Titanium 9.5 degree driver which I also can't hit - so the old Taylor Made Burner driver which I've had for five years stays in the bag. So much for golf technology...

I recently bougt an Xbox w PGR2 and sold it after a week. Didn't like the game at all, neither the Xbox.

Some talk has been about therapy. I have spent about 5k $ on therapy and that's one of my best investments. 👍

I wish I could add something to this list. But I'm a miser of the highest order, so I really have never bought anything that I hadnt poured a lot of thought into.

Which is actually a bad thing.

*Edit: Actually my worst purchase would be a book from the UK which "got lost in the mail" (aka was never sent) :grumpy:

I've bought some books that I never read. A tripod for my camera, but of such poor quality that it won't keep the camera still properly. Gym equipment was a bit of a waste of money too.

I've actually just sold a bunch of stuff on eBay. Not for a great deal of money, but I want the cupboard space back. Time was before that I would just put the unwanted stuff away and forget about it, now I'm trying to sell it.

$1500 Movado...well, it was a gift. Either way, I can't wear it anywhere
$100 headphones because I got robbed a week after I bought them :banghead:
Metal Gear: Sons of Liberty (only because I beat it 5 times using a friend's copy prior to purchasing it)
$40 on a yo-yo when they were "the thing to have"

mine would have to be a Ford Galaxy, biggest piece of crap ever created. i bought it brand new and within a month all the electric windows (except front passenger) had failed, climate control only worked when it wanted to and the airbags had a nasty habit of just going off when driving along. put me off fords for life which is strange considering my wifes old Focus never had a problem and i use to drive the s**t out of it.

I can't think of anything really big and worthy, but I did buy AutoModellista the week it came out. 69,99$, and I beat it in a day and a half.

$4,000 worth of repairs for an act of stupidity :(
same here.. 3 grand in this case, $1500 for my car and $1500 for his, to hush it up with the insurance (shh....)

But the stupidest investment I have ever seen someone make is my friend, who bought a 1982 Camaro for $1100. He then proceeded to dump $18,000 into it for repairs (paint, tranny twice, power steering, brakes, head gasket, electrical work at least 6 times, and I have no idea what else), only to find it had a cracked framerail. Ended up selling it after only 8 months for $600. Talk about a huge loss.

A pair of Oakley's. I bought them to follow a trend. (Snowboarding goggles)

They fit like crap and never keep moisture out, so they're always fogged. Returned them in a week, got my 180 bux back, then bought some SPY's for 60 and haven't had problems since.

mine was $4,000 just for my car no one else was involved but me and a curb...that 4K included free towing, no markup on the OEM parts and no labor and they did my timing belt free too :) so basically I payed only wholesale price on the parts thanks to my neighbor who is also my mechanic.

Half my college textbooks.

Barely read them then, worth nothing after class was over, and now I read them even less than that.
