But the stupidest investment I have ever seen someone make is my friend, who bought a 1982 Camaro for $1100. He then proceeded to dump $18,000 into it for repairs (paint, tranny twice, power steering, brakes, head gasket, electrical work at least 6 times, and I have no idea what else), only to find it had a cracked framerail. Ended up selling it after only 8 months for $600. Talk about a huge loss.
