The Evo BOV isn't as cheap as the 2g dsm, it holds 19psi stock. And the only way the BOV limit's boost is if it's leaking, like how the 2g ones do after 12psi.

I have a 96 GSX ;)

The car doesn't hold 19 psi stock, it tapers after 5k rpm, but it isn't because of the bov. Here is my dyno sheet with before (green) and after (red) pulls when I got my ecu reflashed by Works Rally (I have the Forge Motosports valve too btw). You see the stock boost tapers down considerably to 16 psi. Thats just the way the car is mapped from the factory.

Is it because of the air/fuel map, or because the turbo gets ineffecient after 5krpms?

Do you think you could send some of that money my way? I'm looking at having my dads old citroen AX 1.4D. AHHHH!!!!....help me :(

A/F map. The car runs pretty rich after 5k from the factory to prevent detonation.

it just pushes u back in your seat and u just want to go faster... i can feel it power and i haven't gone over 4500 rpm yet..
We were in my cousin bmw 325 i think and he steped on the pedel and at about 4200 RPM and my head was like against the head rest thing i was like oh **** and i was in the front seat too.

Yeh all DSM's (4g63 powered ones) run rich from the factory so that it's safe for weather changes and so if the owner wants to turn the boost up a little. I have to retune mine for winter weather so I dont get a lot of knock.

Very Nice ride exhaust, congrats. Nice picture too by the way.

My cousin just took pictures of his new STi.... Shes a beauty aint she ;)

STi!!!! Even though my cousin has the STi i would still rather have an Evolution than the Impreza STi. Basically i like the look better.

Nice ride once again.

According to both Super Street and Sport Compact Car they said that the Evo felt better and more nimble on the track, but the STi will put the hurting on it on the straights.

Not just Sport Compact Car, or Super Street (how the hell did you even manage to read that garbage?) rated it as better. Car and Driver and Road and Track rated it better too. They claim the STi is plenty of fun to drive, but the Evolution is just a bit funner. Most of the Subaru guys have come to accept this, but a lot of us are still loyal and are sticking with it.

There are a couple of STi owners that are running in this week's local autocross that are running with "pinks" springs. Subaru Impreza WRX STi C-Spec springs. I wonder how they will do. Good, I hope. Maybe I can catch a ride with one.

Anywho, back to topic. I do have to admit, it's a damn nice Evolution.

Damn right. I hope they do good also, as i understand the Evo and STi are about on the autocross maybe the Evo has the upper hand if given both equal drivers. Its impressive that the Evo can hang on to the STi with less power and torque but same crub weight that means the LanEvo has been tuned nicely.

HAH! And That's coming from Webster himself! But yes, looking over that, I would of gone with "more fun".

haha.... its in Webster dictionary so it has to be a word!! Now, if any of my teacher said funner isnt a word, ill make them look it up  in a Webster dictionary... then after that ill make them look up the term "owned" :)
