Hey why not make a game called Race Glitch and The point is to cheat, glitch and otherwise dupe The system! Sounds like fun to me......not!

Or a game that's already 100% completed! Lob the disc in, a 100% platinum trophy pops up in your PSN, eject disc, put in case, throw case into the cupboard to gather dust - done.

I went into a room and sort of joined in. More than 15 minutes of X2010s banging into eachother, what a chore. I got through the barrier and found the other ones that had gone through, and suddenly one of them bangs into me and we crash out of that area and back onto the race course. Hah.

I quit and I'll never try that nonsense again.

To get quick cash and a X2010 use another glitch ... B-Spec, the mode where you don't even have to hold the controller to play the game. Just don't forget to share your drivers (affectionately named BOBS in the "play it right" community :sly: ).

I'm getting almost a million per week and last month I even got a free X2010 just because the game itself decided I was level 35 in that stupid mode.

I know, it's unethical and all. You're not even playing the game, but ... use this glitch. Kaz gave it to you and the "holy" guys here won't bash you for it. In fact, they'll praise you.

PS - Seems there's an entire subforum for this glitching process also, so if you have any doubts just go there and do some reading :D

👍 as this made me

Also wondering why only 1 million a week?
I easily get about 7-8 million a day by using this "glitch".

I've been wondering when someone was going to bring that up.

It's a much easier way to make loads of money and experience. You don't even have to play the game to do it. Leaving the online servers open for actual racing.

I don't really like either, but if you're going to do one of them, I would suggest using the technique that can't possibly effect anyone else.

;)

That's putting the console playing alone, i.e. turning A-Spec into B-Spec. And it just shows how totally WRONG and mind-confusing it was to insert a "console plays alone" joke named B-Spec into a driving/racing game.

Everything B-Spec related, in fact, is nothing but an enormous glitch, a game-killing infection inserted in this series in its GT4 iteration.

"rubber band" grinding isn't playing at all. Driving through holes with a X2010, or into SSR7's hyper-space with a GT-R is at least ... playing.

I don't condemn "rubber band" grinding however. As with B-Spec, that's what some do to balance an otherwise completely flawed career mode and make it fun.

All I want from GT5 is everything unlocked to be able to play online, the only "game mode" that is good reason enough to keep GT5 in the PS3 . And of course couldn't care less about the pitiful offline mode or that aberration the game's creators call B-Spec mode.

GT3 was the last great offline game made by PD. If you check a 100% career, you know it was 100% driven by the player. Unless "rubber band grinding" was already happening. But that game had such a fantastic career mode that I doubt any player in the globe even considered doing it.

Oh for crying out loud this is stupid. For gods sake, play the game normally. I tried to do the SSR7 glitch and couldn't do it. So you're expecting me to try this?

PD...give me 1.09 NOW. And while you're at it take away that 1,000,000 Cr. trade limit so I can get my lovely Fork Mark IV without cheap noob glitches like this but also without boring myself to death with Like the Wind spamming.

As for my form of money raising...it's simple. It's called Remote Racing.

Basically the game is all screwed up. I highly doubt they will be adding any more A Spec events. Just hope the we get PROPER bonus races tommorow...

And have you even noticed when all this glitching started? They will never get rid of the glitching but I'm sure less people will be glitching if PD went back to the old bonus races and get rid of the 1.000.000 cr. trading limit.

X2 👍

Doesn't this require a fairly high level B spec to start doing? I thought you needed a redbull and be level 30 or something?

If it's anything like that, the Bspec needs might be why... I personally hate Bspec and only recently have leveld up because I shared out some drivers and other people leveled me up.

Also there is the possibility that people have their PS3 in their bedroom and thus don't want to sleep with it on or just don't want to waste the electrcitiy.

There is also the fact that (at lesat with the SS7 glitch) you could get 20mill in an hour and thus theoretically get all the 20 mill cars in only a day or so.

Also some people probably like showing off the glitch online or sharing in the glitching with others... I know I found quite a few rooms to be full of talkitave joking people... some of them weren't even in it for the money, just enjoyed showing others how to do it... in an odd way it was the nicer side of the GT crowd who enjoyed helping others learn something new for nothing in return...

I think he wasn't referring to quick fixes like this, but to actual updates like features that we've been wanting to see like matchmaking and Endurance Races.

I would be willing to bet that it isn't though. PD is a large company and being a large company I'm sure it houses different departments. I would think that updates for added content and hot fixes for glitches would be handled by two separate ones. Say a trouble shooting department and a new developments department.

Don't they only have about 100 employees?

Somewhere in that neighborhood yes. But it would be foolish to assume that all of the ones in a tech field would be working on the same projects. Don't you think?

What happened to patience...? Working for your credits. True that grinding is dull with a once only prize. But why? Gran Turismo is best enjoyed at a slower rate. There goes 1.09, gosh I feel old...

i remember there were rooms with people driving on the wall to find openings for every track. i guess they found one?

rubber bands and tape are valuable resources. save the earth and don't buy them to cheat. you fail....logg off now (jk :D)

ive done this before it involves a tank car raming a x2010 into a wall and so far its much harder to do then the ss7 glitch

edit- you also get over 6m for getting 1st place with a decent amount of people insted of the 3.6m at ss7

I read this and tried it today and I came 5 outa 6 or 7 ppl and got over a million and the first place guy got around 6mil. U can get in by yourself but it is super hard compared to the last glitch. Also doing 200 laps takes like a hr

5 secs a lap * 200 =\= an hour.

I did a race start to finish in 12 minutes (includes getting out of track)

Should've been a separate online mode for the glitch abusers.

A for teh lulz mode would gain so much usage that it would eventually overshadow the main mode and discredit the game for what it really is.

On the other hand, it sounds like great fun!👍

Ok, so I tried this today just for fun (In my own private room, I have two ps3's, ((three actually))) I spent two hours and 12 minutes messing with it, and it's a lot harder than it looks to do it fast. The ring you have to hit is pretty unforgiving, if you overshoot it, it pops you out on to the track. The journey back to get in is not long, but it's annoying.

I spent another 1/2 hour trying to get in by myself (without a "smasher") and I was able to do it with comfort softs on it but it took a long time. You have to get yourself at the perfect angle and forward/reverse in very small increments, it will kind of send you unnaturally sideways till you get halfway out of the map, then you can go bigger. It's not something people in a room are going to wait for you to do and I don't think everyone would even be able to do it. I would tell you how long it took me but I wasn't paying attention, my goal was to see if it was even possible, and then once I figured it out, time how fast it could be done, but I wasn't able to do it again after the first time. My patience was pretty much gone at that point though.

So, it is possible to do it by yourself, I'm sure someone will perfect a method soon, but I don't think anyone in a room is going to wait for you to do it unless you can get it down like people did the ss7 entrance.

*Edit* P.S. The fastest lap time I could do was a flat 6, but I had comfort soft tires on the car the whole time...thinking they were racing softs.

P.S.S. The x1's are really not a fun car to drive.

That's amazing, given that 200 laps at 5 seconds is 16 minutes and 40 seconds. Add the time to get into the wall and into the slot.

Bravo!

That doesn't support your argument, just shows that Polyphony might have two studios. I still highly doubt he was referring to the glitch fix being delayed. Not many people here consider fixing this glitch things that we need to fix in the game, some people would even have problems with it. It's also an unpleasant thing for Polyphony Digital to have to fix, considering that they don't want stuff like this in the game. budious said it best earlier that Polyphony Digital does not want to play a constant cat and mice game with glitches. Considering that 1.06, where we would not expect much, was a huge update, if budious is correct in his thinking, we shouldn't be surprise if Update 1.09 is the next big update.

Agreed.

I don't think they will bother fixing it, nor do I think it even merits fixing. It's too hard to do by yourself, it's inconvenient...I don't picture it blowing up.

The sad thing is I have found you can get out of any track I have tried so far with the help of the Jay Leno Tank Car. You can do it in SS7 again. There are 6 different exits in the ring alone. All you need is X1 or F1
