what is the arrow that turn red and green on the screen when driving the nissan 2020 vision gt ?

When it is red, it shows the battery is discharging (giving you more power) and when it is green then it is charging again.

This isn't an answer to the question asked but a third option is for said arrow to be greyed out, in which case the battery has a full charge and no longer takes on any.

The arrow greys when charging and discharging are equal. You can use the pedal to find the ever so tiny window. Also same when neither is going on like when your stopped, not moving its also grey

And because this car has really K.E.R.S.( look it up on google or wiki)
when pressing the nitro button and hold it, you release an extra kick of power.
I tested it on routeX, With the nitro button pressed, the car is 8 seconds faster to reach topspeed.
used it yesterday with the A-spec expert race.
Without using the nitro button, i got 1st at lap 5.
With the nitro button pressed at every straight part of Tokio R246, I got 1st in lap 4 and got the battery almost fully drained at the end of lap 5 :p
That was fun.

Its true it has the new version of the system, its KERS built directly into the drive line vs previous years of F1 bolt on type systems. But 2 of the motors (3 tottal) might be bolt on, its hard to say. It also has the TERS system too.

There is a MGU on the turbo shaft. This unit acts like a waste gate and can spool up the turbo to reduce turbo lag, or slow it down acting like a traditional waste gate.

To confirm this While driving the 2020 Nissan Vision GT drive partial throttle, keeping your eye on the boost gage to keep from spinning the engine fast enough to hit max boost. With a good battery charge and room off of max boost on the turbo gauge. Hit the boost button. The turbo will spike to full boost until you let go or give more throttle. When the driver goes full throttle / in this car ove 50 - 55% throttle more of the recovery comes from the TERS system feeding the battery or the KERS system directly using the KERS system to increase power to the drive line.

Aside from reducing turbo lag, and replacing the functions of a traditional waste gate, turbo speed is driven by the exhaust gasses, all the TERS recover is returned through the KERS system, so all we know confirm both KERS + TERS reffered to in 2014 F1 as an ERS Power Unit, this being the combination of everything. Combustion engine, battery storage, KERS recovery and discharge system + TERS recovery system turbo lag reducing waste gate. With all the computer stuff needed to control it

This car also will use KERS boost without pressing the button with enough throttle. Holding wide open not pressing the boost button you loose a lot of power when the battery dries up, system goes in stand by until it can recover

So pressing the nitro button on a car with hybrid technology produces a bigger kick of environmentally-friendly power than just using the throttle? Never knew that. Does that work for the different types of hybrid too? (TS030 has a different system to the 2020 VGT)

Not exactly most do not, most return power based on throttle position, gear, speed but do so without the driver pushing a boost button.

The 2020 Nissan VGT has a extra boost button, its so far the only car in GT6 with an MGU on the turbos and boost button that provides additional boost on top of everything.

Okay, thanks. I was wondering whether my CR-Z Touring car would do that too but perhaps not.

Unfortunately it won't. I think the Nissan is a concept idea of how 2014 F1 ERS tech might mix with the road car hybrid tech. No restrictions on how long you can boost per lap (2014 F1 160bhp/33sec limit), two turbos, mutiple motors on AWD platform type of deal.
