Hmm I just checked the replay and sadly, 4 cars were running illegal mods, specifically Stage 3 engine upgrade. The engine upgrade makes the car quite a bit faster, it increases RPM, torque and PP. It's not fair to the other 10 guys who were running legal cars. During the regular season this should result in immediate DQ.

I'll forward the offenders' names to xA and let him handle the issue. All I'm going to say for now is that 1st and 2nd place were legal cars. If you saved the replay and would like to see for yourself, check every car's hud and look for 12K RPM redlines.

It seemed like the NSX's needed another 5-10 hp in order to be up front. I'd say the NSX's run about 5 hp less than the GTRs, and Supra in order for it to be a dead heat. The Xanavi Nismo GTR is fast, the Xanavi cars in general are all very good. I dont know what to say about that. Clearly MtBe was fast on long stints, which shows he may be good at saving tires.

Yeah the NSX's did suffer on this race with the highest finishing one on 5th more than half a minute behind a sea of GTRs after having very well balanced race at Suzuka.
And about MTB, well he must be from another planet he is just to damn fast!!

I will disagree with you on this Jav. It was just like Suzuka. MtB won, I got 2nd (only at Suzuka I was using the NISMO Z). OwensRacing didn't race at Suzuka - but being a veteran in WSGTC in the GT-R I wouldn't expect anything less than a near top finish from him. And then it's you in the NSX.
And about MTB, well he must be from another planet he is just to damn fast!!

Roger that! He is very fast and super tight on worn tires.

The GT-R was the most represented car in this race but that doesn't make it the fastest car. Look at the bottom of the results, 4 GT-R's there, too.

however I would say Rookie, I am first season racer on WSGTC. Just started online league racing this past January when I went with a wheel. Some of these guys been at it since GT5P and PC sims race. ;)

This may explain a few things. I thought I knew these cars well. I prefer a NSX on softies. Any against that if I get another fill in? Use the Takata Dome car I tried to sort out for the WSGTC. On Hards it was a handful.. . Actually was faster just wanted a more relaxed drive.




Since this league is just starting. There is a mod that is undetectable. This mod does nothing to the PP nor weight or power at all. The chassis reinforcement. Truthfully this should be allowed. It just eliminates the "cheating" if there is any. I am good with out, I don't want to be the goon that cheats. I feel the replay should offer a more extensive mod display per car. It prob will come in an update. If I did cheat. It would no doubt come that week and I would be labeled for trying it once. No thanks Hahahaha so I avoid that.

I feel there was sone rubbing. However people will settle in. Just gotta realise when to pass and when to sit back and relax. As well be curtious to faster drivers. You gotta let then by and use their speed and the draft to gain time. JPzer, the alien he is. Shares wisdom once and again. I will or maybe Atlas can grab it from the GP/D race thread. Great little read. Would help us all go faster and stop letting Mt run free and open while we all battle and go slower. ;)

Exciting race. I will admit that light damage is fun for you can run harder and it's forgiving. I almost think there needs to be a light heavy. Takes twice the hits to damage but stays line heavy. This give you Room to bump a lil here or there. It is 2D after all. I tend to really baby it on heavy.

Hey everyone.

Great racing today. I had a great battle with Jav for most of the race, and a few others at various parts. I also enjoyed the traffic as people made their pitstops...I went from 10th to 3rd lol. I think for the most part the cars were pretty much even, even the Lexus.

Now, not exactly thrilled to hear about illegal cars. I will be checking the replay and contacting people if/as necessary. Anything else regarding illegal cars, please do through PM, thanks.

Now, I think we should start voting on tracks for the season.

I am thinking about a 6 race season, so please post your top 5 tracks, and favorite version of the Nordschliefe.

Now, there are a few persons not showing up, so they will be bumped down, and those who showed up on the waiting list will bumped up.

You should definitely go with the NSX if you're faster in it. 👍 Bring it on! :) BTW I suck at driving the NSX but I just tried 5 laps in a fresh 498 HP Takata around Tokyo 246 in an online room and did a 1:36.2 on softs...only 4/10ths slower than my GTR quali time today (no draft).

Re the chassis reinforcement, I never tried it myself, does it make the car faster? At this point I'm neutral on this.

NSX:
I dint see anyone using the Arta NSX, will break one in and have it ready.


Chassis reinforcement:
I did not lose time or anything when I sold my original Calsonic car with it done and redid a new one with out. If anything it makes a car tighter. So maybe the NSX would benefit. However a GTR or other FR would start to push I think.

Don't mean to press anything on the league. Just throwing things out there that could of concern for the coordinator and his stewards.

Hey my car was illegal. It was an honest oversight. I already had that car maxed out. I did however turn off the turbo, but didn't realize the stage 3 would really make a difference as I reduced the power to 522hp. I wasn't trying to cheat, besides I ran half the race with hard tires!

I will buy a new car now and have Bob break it in overnight.

Actually, I would rather the Xanavi Nismo GT-R, when I chose the Autech, it was because I thought all the Xanavis were banned. I have one without stage 3...

I see votes for Monza and the Nurb GP/D and GP/F. All 3 are great tracks but as I'm sure everyone knows Monza has 2 chicanes that are notoriously being cut and the Nurb tracks' first four corners are notoriously being run wide.

IMO before putting any one of these 3 on the calendar it should be decided whether cutting the Monza chicanes will be acceptable and how the "running" wide will be judged/penalized at Nurb. I personally didn't select these tracks to avoid potential controversy.

We just ran the GP/D in WSGTC and it happened. WSGTC has strict penalties BTW. Just my 2c.

@Majik - thanks for being upfront. In your case it was clearly unintentional given your tire choice :) Nevertheless be sure to reread the rules on pg 1.
 
Sorry wasn't cheating I will have to read the rules 10x and try not to miss anything :)

I'll change my car to YellowHat YMS TOMICA GT-R so I don't have to buy a new car

EDIT: Looks like there are 2 YMS GTR already I might just have to buy a new car

@xAmilli0n can you send me "if possible" a TAKATA dome NSX to use so I don't have to buy a new one please and thank you.

I have gotten three cars broke in and wanting to test today. Realllllly want to run a Supra(Tom's or YH) in a series. So if I cant get either one to beat my ARTA NSX, then indeed go NSX.

OLR rules are in place for this very reason.1-2 offs in a competitive race is a accident,corner cutters get tossed out.Not picking a great tracks like Monza and Nurb-F is cheating yourself.Running a perfect lap at Nurb F is like a perfectly struck 3 iron,and Monza is just fun with the draft.
 
Utilizing the penalty system got corner cutting and the like would indeed put a damper on those doing so. 40 second penalty per offense or something I think is the rule. Let them try that few times and they will go from the front to the back real quick in the official results. :)


GP/F or D is a great track for racing on too. It may be best to put these type of tracks later in the season so people can get an idea of whats what and get comfy running with the rules.

Enforcing the rules is the only way to ensure they will be followed.
For Monza I'd say no wheels touching the blue paint on the 2nd chicane and no more than 2 wheels on the green for the rest of the track.
On Nurbuburgring no more than 2 wheels on the green!
Off course I would apply the penalties to repeat offenders(people that plainly do it to gain an advantage).

@MajikTom: Thanks for letting me know. I will update the car list, and move people around tonight so we can clearly see what cars are available.

@Red1ine: Also thanks for letting me know. I don't have a Takakta Dome, sorry. Once I update the entry list I will post which cars a available.

Regarding Penalties: Right now, I like the guidelines that Jav mentioned. However, I do believe penalties should be in place. I will come up with some and post.

The ring 24hr, have you guys tried to race there? It to me us a time trial tack not suited for tight racing. But I will run what ever is posted. :)

You're spot on, xAmillion wanted us to pick a flavor of Nordschleife so I did but in retrospect La Sarthe is much more suitable for racing. I ran a GT300 race at Nurb 24hr last Sunday in another league and it was a complete disaster. I'm changing my vote to La Sarthe Weather change.

Now a couple things to bring up.

Leaving the pits: Got a few complaints about pit exits. As a rule, please stay off the racing line when you get out of the pits until you are up to racing speed. This will help us avoid incident. If available, stay within the designated pit lines on a specific track.

Cars: The cars listed at the moment are the ones I had on the first post. If you are changing, please copy the list, change your car, and repost. As for car regs, I am happy with them as is, and unless anyone has major issue, they will be made official.

Drivers on the regular list have first choice on car.

As some have brought up, because of the risk of corner cutting on certain tracks, a penalty system will be implemented. I will post a list of minimum penalties depending on offense on the first page.

Also, a note, remember, if you accidentally knock another driver off the track or into a wall, please give back the position.

I think I adressed everything that needed to be at the moment. Thanks everyone. Please post any concerns here in the thread.

Oh, wait no, regarding the Nordschliefe, it is many drivers favorite track and the site of many races throughout the year. I do however understand the concern about the narrow roads making it tough to race. For this reason I do recommend either the 24 hour or the 4 hour track.

Oh, and one more thing. Thanks to everyone for you cooperation. This is the first series I host, and it is far bigger than I could have imagined. Its been a little overwhelming, but tons of fun. Thanks for bearing with me, and I look forward to a good season 👍

Sorry, MajikTom shared his rocket propulsion device with me to experiment with.

I'll switch over to another car before the next race. I would tend to vote for the 24 hour version of the Nordschleife with the entire GP-strecke built in apart from the final corner.
