Nice vid

Glad they've changed the godawful tyre skidding noise. In the 'Track view' they did seem a bit too quiet though. Downloading 'Drivers view' now to see if its same in that. Still looking very promising 👍

Edit:

Yeah skidding sounds alot better in Drivers view compared to old one. Engines sounds is better, yet still a bit too monotonous & 'consistant' in drivers view for my liking.

WOw I like the new tire sounds. And the track looks amazing, I like those new roundabouts, awesome for drifting And maybe not important to some, but have u seen the 3d spectators? They look great and blend in much more into the level. They just fit there a lot better than in gtp

I used HiDownload

Just drag link into that green 'thing' & download asx or whatever which will turn into a wmv. If you haven't set the download path, it will go into your hidownload directory.

Right, I've managed to get Hidownload to start downloading them... however it only manages a 137 byte file...

What option have I not got right?

You cant just right click and go 'save as' with asx files. they are STREAMING files which can't be downloaded the normal way as it adjusts the quality depending on your net connection.

you need a special program if you want to download them like that.

The track is nothing special. It's only mildly interesting because it's real Paris streets. It looks so much like the New York track. I'm looking forward to seeing some new interesting courses.

I used net transport and it worked great.

The track is alittle boring but a good addition, Im glad to hear new tyre squeeling sounds.

The external replay is really stunning.

However, there is one thing I noticed, the head lights still don't do anything. Hopefully they actually provide real light in the final version.

Why that's a straight up replay. I know a couple of people who went to E3 and played gt4 and they said jaggies weren't noticable. I dont know what PD is doing to gt4, but they are doing something right. Try looking at other vids of the latest build, and you'll see they look smooth and jaggies aren't noticable.

Christ on a bike, WMP on the Mac can't play streamed files. Buffers for ages plays about 5 sec's Video stops but audio continues until about half way then another few sec's till a bit more before the finish (an I am on high speed cable). TI know of no ripping apps (like the ones mentioned further up the thread) for the Mac. So can someone be kind and upload the files somewhere else (that page with all the hacked GTP vids on for example)

I've just used Net Transport to download the Paris vid, and excellent program and so easy.

The video looks stunning, and will look even better coming out of a PS2.

The sounds don't seem anything special to me, but as long as people are enjoying it, what do I care.

I think it's a mix of Tokyo, Rome, and Seattle.

...and Hong Kong and New York, etc, etc...
Unfortunately this kind of tracks all feel the same.

They are good for showing off though, and in this case they show a great step in the graphics department.
Really impressive.

i think they changed the sound of a skidmarks, or when u turn a lot, im pretty sure thats not how it sounds in gt3, and thanks for the link

But they were streaming fine on my Mac (OS 10.3.4)...Maybe the servers were less busy.

I highly recomend Net Transport, before when I tried streaming it it would skip frames and I am on DSL. When I got Net Transport it downloaded the video perfectly and now it plays with no jumping so if your having trouble use it. Anyway great video, I am starting to understand how benificial the delays have been because KY is obvioulsy trying to cram everything possible to make this game a stunner.
