No, just no.

OK, i put 'IMO',which it is, so explain why IYO you think he has done a good job? Still messing about with the Renault 3.5 tires dosen't help his cause.

It's on topic though.

Very much yes.... thanks BTW.

I remember a nice time when GTPlanet Project CARS subforum wasn't full of posts complaining about the attitudes of some on the official forums. I'm pretty sure people can go to those forums if they want to see for themselves.

I hate these subtle (but once you get them you see they are about as subtle as a V12), little posts towards MODS which are saying "oh this place isn't that good anymore as people are talking about stuff i disagree with, please threaten them with a ban"
Its PCars patch thread, the patch 9 has started to get more WMD members coming out against SMS... its very relevant and of interest, not everyone goes onto official forum.
If you ignored like the 1-2 posts about it then it would be on page 41 soon and all would be forgotten..you keep it alive by whining.
I honestly having seen a TV programme about online grooming, what Jim Jones..sorry, Ian Bell has done is a kin IMO to grooming... groomed impressionable children to attack on his behalf.

I oh really hope they haven't screwed that car. My tyres operate at what I would call the optimal temperature at the mo, and the handling is superb, my tune is sweet. I fear the worst. I bet they haven't stopped the game crashing on occasion when I drive that car though.

It's on topic though.
It's only on topic if it is talking about pCARS patches (current or future), which it wasn't. It was pure gossip.

Looking through the release notes I see a few instances of the "AI cars hit curbs and launch up on two wheels" are effectively being fixed, but I'm missing some locations, particularly the first corner around Hockenheim. For me that is currently the most annoying bug because for some reason it breaks me out of actually enjoying the game due to being so totally unrealistic.

It's such a minor thing, but I was hopeful when I saw the patch notes that they corrected the issue in general. I will still go and test to make sure on this though.

EDIT: Seems to be mostly better, after some testing. Not perfect but not as bad as before.

All those posts he singled out came as a response to 9.0:

So indirectly on topic

They only fixed the race line for the AI on one track, even though this "launching up on two wheels" happens at other location, too. Not sure if there is more to come in the upcoming patches but I'd welcome race line improvements all over the board, to enhance the performance and speed of the AI as well.

There was nothing in my post that was subtly suggesting to mods to ban you at all. My point was exactly what I said, I'm not a fan of ignoring people or seeing people get banned as I enjoy discussions & discussions with differing viewpoints are usually much more interesting. For what it's worth I agree with many of the points you've made in previous posts. Having said that I still don't see the point in continued posting about some people's attitudes on the official forums. Every game has it's fanbois & it's detractors, if people are interested in extreme examples of them official forums are usually a good place to start looking.

On Topic: Looking forward to hearing the updated Ford Falcon sounds

Look, you have no idea what he has done for the game. Let's leave it at that as I have absolutely no interest in argumenting with you.

Fair enough, I respect that and i'm sorry.

Bug fix of Silverstone Classic online box issue don't work.. 3 months already that this bug is known and the fix don't fixed it...

All the rest is the same changelog of the pc version with as ps4 exclusive fixes a bug fix for the Trusthmaster T500 that sometimes crashed and a fix for the buttons of the Fanatec wheels...

All that with a 2,5 gb difference between the weight of the update from the PC version an PS4 version...

What's really in to make that huge difference?? And that some "fixes" don't even works.

I'm getting tired of Project B.U.G.S...

The majority of the 2.5gb of the 9.0 patch is for the car files for this months DLC, that's what the "patches" are released for, more than anything else nowadays. Although, 2.5gb for the 6 cars we're getting seems very big, that's because almost for sure there are track files in the patch for next month.

Ovals anyone! ;)

Great..... 63% of sales to PS4 and this is how they handle it... surely their model of "release it let the community test it and report back any bugs and we can fix in patch X" is going to bite them in the butt eventually? I don't really think they even care now as they have the cash and the audience for PCars 2 ready and waiting. Bugs are everywhere and each new patch and DLC theres more and more...

someone replied:

Only 2-3 devs on PS4? Thats sounds not so smart if you look at sales per platform:

PC : 6%
XB1 : 31%
PS4 : 63%

Well. I don't know hammy...

The update on PC is only a 510MB in weight..
That makes a difference of 2,5gb..
For only a 2 fixes more concerning the Trusthmaster T500 wheel and Fanatec wheel..

And the fix of Silverstone box bug that doesn't work in PS4...don't they try them out the updates before rolling them??
That's 3 months already that i can't use a track that i paid for in the online..

Phatetic really.. Now we have to be patient and wait for the update number 10 :banghead:

The game is great.. But al the issue and bugs makes the experience 🤬
10 months off fixing and the game still hugely bugged..

Project CARS – PS4 Patch 9.0 – Release Notes

Vehicles
• Aston Martin GTE - adjusted the AI suspension damper rates down to better handle curbs
• BMW 2002 SW - Adjusted default setup for better drivability. Adjusted optimum temperatures and heating to move the optimum running temp closer to 180F. Adjusted cockpit camera position.
• BMW 1M SW - Changed transmission to sequential, paddle shift to match the 3D model
• BMW 2002 Turbo - Speed adjustments for player and AI for better match in the Vintage racing class.
• Formula Renault 3.5 - Raised collision mesh and adjusted default setup for better curb behaviour. Adjusted various other setup items to make player drivability better. Upped tire temperature build-up to get the tires more in the optimum range to use more of the intended grip with the default tire pressures and setup.
• Ford Escort, Mercedes 300SEL - Balanced the speeds better against the new BMW Stance Works car for the same class. Slight improvements in available grip through moving them into better optimum heat/grip range. AI speeds changed to match.
• McLaren F1 GTR: Fixed an issue where parts of the car would clip through other parts when damaged.

Tracks
• Road America - New race line and corridor tweaking. The main goal was to keep the AI off the curbs so heavily, as with the massive alligator teeth here cause the stiffer car fits and lifting off the throttle.
• Silverstone Classic – Fixed an issue that caused the game to dramatically slow down and at times crash during pitting in a multiplayer race.

Tires
• Reworked some vintage tires to get a better average temperatures increase, resolve severe flat spotting, localized overheating and too-easy punctures which were being reported.

Audio
• Ford Falcon – Reworked the vehicle sounds to a closer match of the real car.

Controllers
• Fanatec - Fixed CSRE second d-pad issue.
• Thrustmaster - Fixed a crash bug when using the T500 wheel.

Still not out in the US. I launch the game up this morning and went to online and it was only 4 lobbies. What the hell is sony doing? I can care less about this patch because it's nothing really being fixed but damn it's not even no lobbies up.

They only work on Tuesday's I guess. xD

Just fired the game up for the first time post-9.0 and seems like they've done exactly as they said in regards to Road America. The AI definitely avoids the curbs a lot more now, especially in turn 3 where in the past you were guaranteed to make up time on them, now they take a much tighter apex and pretty much avoid the curb/run off area completely, therefore making them generally faster round that track. A noticeable difference IMO and for the better.

Also I've had to adjust pressures on the FR3.5 due to the new heat build-up but nothing drastic. Getting faster tyre wear though for sure. Feels a bit more grippy perhaps, but nothing major. Good improvements so far.

Edit: ...although I will say I'm not sure what they've done to this car regarding curbs but it doesn't appear to handle them anywhere near as well as before.

Uhh, actually that is EXACTLY what crowdsourced development means.
It isn't like they are coy about it either, what exactly do you think they mean when they say "developed by YOU"?
Did you think that was just supposed to be some catchy slogan?

When are they going to introduce a proper multiclass system or let us choose what car will be in the race also when are going to make the weather system more true to real time and location
Ps. I love this game

I thought the weather was real time on PC already. As for the rest... It's called pCARS2. Hopefully.
