I know Bear asked about the setup...I basically ran it stock but changed a few things.

1.8 bar tire pressure f+r
1.7 camber fr...1.4 rr
2 and 4 aero f+r (it was 1+3 but I changed it last minute)
I lowered the sway bars to 40 fr and 35rr
Ride height 69fr/58rr
Brake mapping 4
Brake balance 59%
Brake pressure 100%

I think the biggest difference was changing the Diff settings.

Lim Slip Dec lock 30%
Lim slip Acc lock 10%
Lim slip Pre 20%

I think the most important thing for me was to get the car to rotate when off throttle (but not applying the brakes) because there are a lot of corners where I just let off the gas but do not apply brakes. Same applies for getting on the gas...I lowered the accel lock settings so the car would rotate under full throttle when coming out of the corners as well.

I leave all the other suspension stuff stock because it's just a can of worms and I doubt I would be able to discern if something changed or not.

Started up my Dirt league again. Sounds like AC is a bugger to do any league stuff with at the moment. But I am certainly game it give some track time a try

First off, great job, @JoeW yesterday!
It was very humbling racing yesterday. I want to apologize who suffered because of my spins yesterday in any way. I was all over the place, especially race 1.
Goes to show that you can't win or even compete unless you're prepared in this league. I literally didn't get my setup ready until 20 minutes before the qualy (used @SGETI's setup btw). Didn't know at all about which tires to use, how much fuel to put in, how many stops to do. And oh yeah, I totally forgot about unforgiving physics of PCars while tires are not up to temp either...Probably had, oh I don't know, somewhere between 7 and 10 spins and offs in race one, with too much gas onboard and Hard tires...2nd race I regrouped somewhat, figured out how to tame the car around the track (with only 3 spins) but still mostly miscalculated on the strategy. Now I'm finally ready to race at Laguna...but all the races have run out :P
Either way, it'll be better for the next race as I'll have to practice for sure! Practice, practice...

Just got Project Cars for Christmas, along with a PS4 (I know, I'm a bit behind). Once I get a racing wheel that works with the PS4 I'd like to join you guys. I'll join the FB group also. In the meantime, I've been doing my best to dial in the DS4 controller settings in this game. Boy was it a mess out of the box, I've driven busses with better turning radius.

For the time challenged people like myself, I will share my weekly pre race PCars ritual.

Monday...track familiarization day. I will spend about 20-30 minutes figuring out the car/track combo. That's about all I have time for :)

Tuesday...strategy night. I will setup a room identical to race night. I run about 20-30mins of the 45min race and see how much fuel I used and see what tire wear is like. No time to run full race length. If softs can't last 20 mins then I know I will probably need mediums :) I double my fuel consumption number and add a couple to get a fuel load number.

Wednesday...pre race. Login around 8:15 and do some final setup tweaking. Maybe try an alternate tire compound for grins to see what kind of times I can get. This worked well on the Focus...accidentally figured out the street tires were great in long dry runs and medium track tires were great in the rain :) Go figure.

As a noob to PCars. I appreciate the insight.👍

A wise guy... :)

Well what I was getting at is many people faced with the problem of soft tires not lasting long enough can decide to just drive at a slower pace to conserve tires. Unfortunately history has shown me that I can't do that very well.

I SHOULD just let the group in front of me go because I am on a different strategy and trying to conserve. But I end up pushing too hard early in the race and blow my soft tire conservation strategy to crap.

So I have learned I need to just go with the harder tire. Some people can run that conservation strategy but I just have problems not chasing people who are right in front of me.

Then I end up with 8 mins to go before my pit stop and have no tires left and the people I were chasing are long gone...

Go USA!!!!!

That was one of the most exciting hockey games I have seen in years. Congrats to the USA for the win in a shootout. What a crappy way to end a game though, especially a game that is so important to us Canucks. The game could have ended either way in overtime, there must have been 10 really good scoring chances both ways. The American hockey program has come a long way since the Miracle on Ice back way back when. We have no shame losing in a game like that. Wow.

Oh! I've been wanting to say this...

@JoeW

Get good bro.
Funny thing about that...I was on track the last race night of last season and I was only a couple points behind Hazard in the championship. All I needed was to finish ahead of him in my crappy Focus to beat him for the season so I could really shove that "get good bro" line up his ass :)

Then my damn dog had puppies 5 minutes into the race so I never got the opportunity to finish the night and throw it right back :)

Lol thats funny, and I never even showed up that night to race.
