My 🤬 talk is generally reserved for Team Skull.
Grunt: "Hey you're that guy!"
Hapu: "Do you know these scoundrels?"
Me: "That's a fantastic question! No!"

I let Gladion believe that I was a careless by straight up being like "Yes I am who Hau said I am!" before handing his 🤬 to him. I messed with Lillie a few times, especially at the Trainer School.

Lillie: "They're calling for you to go to the office, you didn't do something bad did you?"

Me: "Well, you see..."

I've been wasting my time on Rt. 4. Anyone know where I can get a Magmar for the poor bellhop in front of the Tide Song hotel?

And the old guy on 3F in the same hotel, where are his buddies?

If you go Route 7 in the Wela Volcano Park, there are Magby in the grass... uncommon sighting but still... they can evolve into Magmar.

As for the old guy sidequest, I haven't done it... apparently the veach and the corner near or in the hotel are 2 of 3 locations... but can't confirm.

Doing the Battle Tree right now and holy 🤬 has it changed to be so much easier.

The non-super formats no longer have a level limit and allow the use of Special Pokemon :eek::eek:

Still need to unlock the Super formats to see if it has the level cap and ban on Special Pokemon but I'm just mowing down the Battle Tree with Level 100 Pokemon like it's nothing.

So after fighting Ultra Necrozma and finding out he outspeeds and one-shots my whole team of lv55+s, I found an easy way to cheese him.

Grab the Toxic TM from the Aether Paradise building ()
Catch a Pokemon with the Sturdy ability that can also learn Toxic (I used Graveler since I already had one), and teach it Toxic.
Lead with a Pokemon that isn't that one, that will also be targeted by Necrozma's signature move (Psychic type. My Mudsdale and Ampharos were both magnets for it. It only has 5 PP, but it goes through Sturdy. Keep using revives.
Once it's used that move 5 times, switch to the sturdy, and use toxic. Then just keep revive stalling. Necrozma dies in 5ish turns.

I never liked the idea of catching Pokemon for specific tasks only to not used them ever again

I think I'll stick to my perferred method of spamming nerfing moves. Granted I could've done your tactic IF I had a Pokemon with Sturdy on my team but I didn't.

Up to Super Singles. Super Singles is like as it was in older game so no, you don't breeze through it again. Though this where I found out Kommo-o is a destructive monster thanks to it now having Close Combat.

Well, I caught him because I'm going for a complete Pokedex again. He just happened to have Sturdy and for some reason can learn Toxic. I would've done the nerf but he literally outspeeds my whole team of level 58-62s.

A specially defensive mono Dark type tank could work, too. Turn 1 X Sp. Defense, then buff up with x items from there, healing when needed and go for a 1hko.

Super singles is fun. I believe my team last go around was Mega Salamence, Kartana, and Toxapex (Toxapex is by far the meanest of the 3).

Wait, Necrozma even annihilates Level 58s to 62s? I used nerfing strats with Level 50s (and only had 5 Pokemon as the 6th slot in my party was saved for Necrozma itself afterwards) which required priority and using up all my revives, I thought the difficulty was just me handicapping myself with no EXP. Share, Level OCD and Team limits not universal .

Got my Ultra Sun into EV training shape, and EV training a lot of Pokemon I caught including another shiny I recently found (Altaria), at this I was aware that the further you go into Ultra Space, the chance of it being a Shiny increases (although I was lucky with Heliolisk because I just entered the first one I saw for that Shiny).

As well as got some Clamperals to get some Shell Smashing Huntails and Gorybyss. Is anyone willing to do a trade evolution with me?

Maybe it's where I had no priority moves and my only dark type was Incineroar, but I couldn't even get a hit in. He outsped everything and just swept.

I'm trying to get my Ultra Sun set up for breeding so I can start making teams again. Are the destiny knot and everstone in the same places as before?

You now get Destiny Knot from some NPC (forgot who), and you get the Everstone from illma in the post-game.

Seems people are heading towards the catchable fight with Necrozma so should give out this advice.

Unless, you go by my rule where you HAVE to use the Master Ball on the main legendary. DON'T use the Master Ball on Necrozma, Necrozmas catch rate in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is 255!!!

Just throw a Quick Ball

So I now have 3rd Shiny in 1 game, in 2 weeks. This time a Floatzel. Ultra Wormhole is kinda broken with Shinies.

...but sadly I there was a price and that is what is says on my avatar

Recently learned that Houndoom is in the game without needing to get a Houndour from Pelago, which seems like it should be the other way arpund if you ask me but meh.

I didn't realise until THIS YEARS that SOFT RESETS DON'T WORK FOR EGG NATURES IN GEN VII! Breeding Abras recently made me realise this, as I got the same 5 Natures, in sequence, 3 or 4 sift resets.

Lucky I had a Zorua with the nature I needed to pass on, bred with my Lopunny to then breed with a female Abra. Only works because Lop is Field/Human-Like egg group.

So yeah, your chain breeding needs to be on point from now on, people!

About to head off the Ula'Ula Island, the team at the moment is:
Ibis - Rowlet
Storm - Eevee (but I have a T-Stone)
Aviamos - Hawlucha
Lopunny
Butterfree
Staryu

Also.... anyone doing the Ditto sidequest, CATCH THE DITTOS!!!! They yield GOOD (maybe perfect) IVs and the most common Natures in competitive play.

Oh, whelp too late . I didn't need too though thanks to just catching a bunch of Dittos in Blue and transferring them over. I don't normally breed for IVs but when I want certain Pokemon, might as we get some IVs out of it

However, I am chain breeding for the very first time but this is mainy to get a Sheer Force, Dragon Dance Totodile. Since Dragon Dance is always away as a breeding move for most Pokemon which I hate for Totodile because while most of my Pokemon who can know it are fine without it, Dragon Dance makes Feraligatr decent.

I had a Jolly, Adamant, and now a Modest... I KOd the first one by mistake which was probably a Timid. The thing that struck out at me was the IVs were looking relatively high! I've yet to confirm but I know at least that the Natures are a thing.... I mean c'mon... for all 3 to have competitive Natures... that's not luck...

Could likely be, best unlock the judge ASAP to find out.

My Chain Breeding was quickly finished after I suddenly got a Totodile with everything I wanted, I didn't even need to do the last step for extra IVs.

You also appear to get more Shards in Poke Pelago than you would in Sun/Moon, I always get at least 1 colour of 4s with quite a few of others. Makes collecting the Bottle Caps much easier :)

So the 5 main Competitive Natures are definitely a thing, but IVs are not perfect.

I never got far enough to do the bottle caps.... so they're obtained by trading shards? Wow, ok...

I'm almost able to use the internet again using my PC & PS3/PS4 (got a PS4 on Black Friday) after running out of data downloading part of an update on a PS4 game.

Currently on Ula'Ula and going to be farming a lot of berries to recalibrate the EV spreads of my Pokés. My Eevee is now a Jolteon, Rowlet is close to learning Leaf Blade, and Hawlucha now knows Flying Press which eliminates my need for a Flying move now! :) I have a Mawile and of course will be on the lookout for a Houndoom once I get to Route 12.

@RESHIRAM5 I'm currently looking at what to run on each of my Pokémon, mainly my Jolteon. I have something in mind for Hawlucha and Mawile already, and Houndoom will be somewhat straightforward.

I didn't know gtplanet had a Pokémon thread My favourite game is Gold I have no idea how to play any of the new games and don't like any pokemon after Gold.

@Storm_SP17 I basically did something similar to @Obelisk with my Jolteon but I instead used Hidden Power (Fighting) over Thunder Wave. Of course, your Jolteon might not have this Hidden Power.

The main way to get Bottle Caps besides fishing in the same spot Dhelmise is (which is IMO the best method) and side quests is collecting shards. 30 Shards of the same colour = Bottle Cap.

That Jolteon set is too easy. Tried and true though, can't deny that.

I think you know already that my gameplay teams are quirky and have one or two tricks up their sleeve. ;) I kinda want Jolteon to be that guy, a bit like how Espeon was in Sun.

Thinking about it, I need to make room for Ninetales if I can.

I've got a bunch of comp-ready mons set aside from random wild hunting.

Definitely including cheeto dog.

My Jolteon is actually from my X Team, I transfer everything over from all my games even my in-game teams then I eventually make them as competitively viable as possible (yes even my Torrent starter Greninja). Haven't done it with my Ultra Sun team yet as I still need to EV Train. Some I do like to keep special, I never evolved my Gligar or Haunter in my Platinum playthrough, even though I did eventually evolve Haunter post-game, Gligar is currently in Ultra Sun untouched minus EVs, Movesets and Eviolite :). Gligar is like my Platinums playthrough Pikachu

Anyone here aware of the fact that Pichu learns Nasty Plot before lv. 20?!
I think I remember it when I was training my own Pichu back in Gen VI, but it was a Raichu for Triple Battles so I still kept Charm over it.

Man, I miss Triple Battles so much, they were my favourite format and required a lot of strategy and planning. I still love Greninja-Raichu-Malamar starting combo. I understand why they removed it for Gen VII since it even struggles to work double battles. Currently my Triple Battle Pokemon (except Audino as I can still use it in Doubles) are just sitting waiting for hopefully a return of the format when Pokemon moves to the Switch :( :( :(

Also, I found another Shiny, it just happens to be my least favourite Pokemon ever, seriously 🤬 Swellow and why the hell did I have to find a Shiny version of it . If anyone wants a free Shiny Swellow, I'm begging you to take it away from me.

I call dibs on that Swellow!

So I finally have some of the EV berries in my PokéPelago now, so going to refine the EV spread of my mons when I'm not on GT Sport (now that I have internet) or sleeping.

@RESHIRAM5 are you going to be using bottle caps to max the IVs on your Final 5 from the E4? I wasn't planning with mine, but if you have already then I guess I'll need to.

No not really, several Pokemon I have, have higher priority on the Bottle Cap list, out of all the ingame teams, my Black Team has first dips after I do my individual mons that need it, also I'm burned out grinding for Level 100 after doing it for both Tornadus and Thundurus
