It's not just that. I don't mind being slow if the car will handle correctly. A 2 or 3 hour race just wouldn't be fun at all if you're trying to save it from spinning in every corner. I just don't like these type of cars, never have. Thought I would give it a chance but I just don't want to deal with it.

Just switch to the Corvette if you don't like the Audi. The Corvette is much more stable and doesn't eat it's rear tires.

Aw Jason, hope it's not the end for you in CALM. I have a feeling your car's missing something fundamental, check over your car completely and make sure it's spec'd out right 'cause for a little while I was having second thought about the R10 before I realized I had a High-RPM turbo attached without realizing.

And you did pick a hell of a car, I'd think you'd be a lot more at home in the BMW.

I've been trying this whole week to get a 51 myself Steve. I say we do this, since Steve's a trusted Pure race organizer: someone put their #51 Oreca Viper on borrow and then Steve will go out, run laps in the 51 then in 91, then reduce the power or ballast up the 91 till it's as slow as the 51 - profit.

ya took me a whole week to get the 905 peugeot lmp from the level 23 ticket when I was searching for that. This was after I got all others like 4 or 5 times. Just keep grinding it out and it will come. The car you want never seems to come out fast enough lol.

We are allowed 1 team change in the season, right? If so, I could race at Spa in a GT-R while still trying to get the #51 Viper in time for Le Mans, while still playing by the rules and not having any special treatment.

Alright i just did engine overhaul and chassis maintenance on both #51 and #91, so they are ready to go. Already shared.

Or alternatively, Remy, can you test those two Vipers against eachother and give us a spec for the 91 so it does the same time as the 51? (at least within half a second consistently)

If I get that, then the 91 will be allowed to participate and we're lucky that you have both.

Okay i will test them out both with default setup so no tuning advantage.
I will do it with CALM spec meaning 83% engine and 200KG ballast
The #51 is at 605pp and the #91 is at 607pp
Both same hp and same weight after spec-ing

Alright, cool, at the same weights and power the #91 should be faster.

Then you could try adding weight to the #91, ten kg's at a time till its in line.

I can't add more weight to both cars. I ran it at 512hp and 1345KG according to the spec. However, the #91 churns out 607pp instead of 605pp like the #51.

After a few laps on stock condition (no suspension, LSD setup) the #91 is more or less a second faster. The handling is pretty much the same although the #91 feels more nimbler, however the straight line speed is the big difference. The #91 is very fast on the straight, even considerably faster than the R8.

Both are very good managing its tires, although in my driving, the front wears first than the rear. But the tire saving is similar to the mighty GT-R. Yes, its that good people.

All in all, the car is easy to drive and most importantly the sound is very sexy.

This, the Audi is the "NSX" of this group, it's no surprise there are people that don't like driving it, much like the NSX, which we couldn't even get some drivers to ever even try out.

I swear, I've gotten 10 Dale Jr. cars and 10 Kyle Busch cars, but no Viper. Like, this is ridiculous. Why the hell does PD make it so difficult to get the car you want?

@RT: Not sure if this has been said or if it'll be useful at all so don't expect much but, before putting the base tune on, I'll agree, the car was a complete bitch to handle, but after, still, the back end slips out alot but it's controllable. For example, the first practice race I ran with Litch and Wii, I must of been sliding on every single corner, and just as my tires dropped off, I was going up Eau Rouge sideways.. If anything, it's a little too quick for its own good on tire wear. But just keep at running it, you'll get the reins of it in no time. Not sure if it's harder with a wheel as im still using a pad, but I can't see it being much harder, if not the same. 👍

@mule. It took me nearly 40 attempts to get the viper 51, must of had every car apart from viper and 2D. Now I've tested it against the 91 I've found it a lot slower in straight line speed!

Personally I love the Audi I've found raising the rear makes car a little more stable! This and the corvette are the only two I can break into 15's. My only concern with Audi is getting tyres to wear even! Any tips?
