Do you realise that a quantum leap is the smallest possible change to a system? Change the color of one pixel on a loading screen and GT6 has undergone a quantum leap...
I really hope you are joking by making a play on words...

Some people does not seem to fully understand the meaning of DLC. Basically, everything we have been given so far in terms of new content, including Vision GT cars and Senna update, is a DLC. Difference is, that Sony does not want the money for that.

Vision GT project is the quantum leap - studio is producing unique cars in cooperation with manufacturers and implementing them in the game for free. Normally, pack like Senna would cost you the money. I kinda understand what are you looking for, I would personally pay for a DLC dedicated just to cars or tracks but so far, developers were generous considering the amount of time they have to invest just into producing the update that includes not only fixed but new content.

I disagree. I consider DLC is something that one would purchase (for free or a price) something from a store then download it. We have a choice to get the item or not. No, what we've got are UPDATES. Everyone got the same thing and no one had a choice in the matter. I can't call that DLC.

That is a common appearance of DLC, but there are no rules regarding its distribution. I am perfectly fine with it, though I would rather pay for real cars than the fantasy ones.

Though I see what you getting at, I think your need to appear clever is clouding your judgement. The term quantum leap is generally used to indicate a big change. Or, indeed as the dictionary indicates...

quantum jump
noun
1.
Physics. an abrupt transition of a system described by quantum mechanics from one of its discretestates to another, as the fall of an electron in an atom to an orbit of lower energy.
2.
any sudden and significant change, advance, or increase.
Also called quantum leap.

Origin:
1925–30

Yeah, so the implication is that there is no continuity in between observed states, just a sudden step; hence "discrete". So, what they were telling us is that we wouldn't be able to see the continuity in DLC (approach) from GT5 to GT6. I think that's accurate! :p

I disagree. I consider DLC every digital media available for download on the Internet. Who is right and who is wrong? Maybe we should make a poll........ uhm, maybe not.:p

I was hoping for something like three free tracks, half a dozen free cars and a hundred or so paid DLC cars available. But I guess that would just be silly, nobody would put out DLC like that.
Impossible!! What is this magic?!?! You can't possibly release that volume of DLC in a game of this size, with this sales volume.:odd: Oh wait...:sly:

Do you really think paying 100 euros of DLC is the solution?

Forza is on the market for you. Go make your annual investments.

Hopefully we will get some answers to questions ask in the other thread soon, when he answers and those answers to those big items such as the course creator are cryptic again, then that will tell me that those features are less likely going to be released. I suspect to long wait is do to some unforeseen issues trying to be resolved.

It would be nice if developers (this is definitely not limited to PD) would temper their pre-release hyperbole but that will never happen. They try to get people excited for the next big release and most of them oversell and cause people to have unreasonable expectations. From bullshots to grandiose plans these things are almost never as great as their built up to be. It only rankles me with GT because I love the franchise so much I just hate to see it become somewhat of a punch line. If GT6 announced feature sets are never produced we're going to have a lot of negativity around GT7, everything they talk about being in the game will be dissected and put lots of people in a "I'll believe it when I see it" state of mind, including myself. :(
