2009-2012 Aston Martin One-77

Source.

“To create a car closer to art than the automobile. That was the aim”
Marek Reichman, Director of Design

The One-77 is the culmination of this endeavor. A car sublime in every detail. Aston Martin has a rich heritage of craftsmanship; One-77 builds on this, seamlessly blending the highest caliber of contemporary engineering with the craft and beauty of the artisan’s work. It is the very essence of Aston Martin. One-77 fuses advanced technology with stunning design to create possibly the world’s most desirable automotive art form.

“One-77 expresses all the ingenuity that Aston Martin has acquired in recent years. It is the culmination of all the beauty and emotion that we can bring into the car and by this, it is an expression of what Aston Martin stands for”

Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO Aston Martin

Production Year: 2009 - 2012

Body Style: 2-door Coupe (Supercar)

Engine: 7.3 liter, NA V12

Power Output: 750 Horsepower

Torque: 553 lb ft

Top speed: 220 MPH (354 KM/H)

0-60: 3.5 seconds

Transmission: 6-speed automated manual

Length: 4,601 mm (181.1 in)

Width: 2,204 mm (86.8 in)

Height: 1,222 mm (48.1 in)

Weight: 1,630 kg

Tires: Pirelli P Zero Corsa

Drivetrain: Front Engined, Rear Wheel Drive.

My Take On This: The proper, modern take on the McLaren F1 (SHOTS FIRED TO MCLAREN P1). Just really surprised it hasn't gotten voted yet. A car with a proper engineering background, and love enough to sway the hearts of more than your average British car enthusiast. Limited builds does mean you really can't dream of getting one, though.

And before you think of voting: HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT IT! IT'S AN ASTON ON STEROIDS.

Also a small plug: i put a white One-77 because it reflects my own fiction's current protagonist's car.

I'm sorry, @Grayfox, are you referring to the Lotus Elan+2 four seater GT coupe that was in production from 1967-1975, or the original Lotus Elan sports car that was in production from 1962-1973?

The specifications you have provided are for the +2, but the picture shows a standard Elan (and not in a very flattering light)*.

If you wish to nominate the +2, I recommend that you change your nomination to look like this, both for the sake of factual accuracy and in keeping with @Jahgee1124's nomination formula:

*Seriously, as we saw with the Plymouth recently, using an unflattering picture of any car (be it a Pontiac Aztek or a Ferrari Lusso) is effectively rigging the vote so far as people unfamiliar with the car in question are concerned. For the roadster above I tried to find one in concours spec (therefore pristine and stock.)

Thanks for the info, updated the post to reflect correct info.
The standard one, the +2 doesnt look as nice for me.

I tried to find a good one that is in British Racing Green(the color it should be in).
It was either that(which was a good paint job) or one with faded paint

According to this article, the 2015 model is rumored to include a 6-speed manual. But for now we'll have to deal with the automatic. Even without a manual, I still think this is a cool car. A big V8 in a 4-door sedan with RWD? Hell yeah!

The 1000 was Japan's first production FWD car, and Subaru's first car with a boxer engine. It also became Subaru's first 4WD vehicle when they were contacted by the Tohoku Electric Power Company in 1970 to produce a 4WD version of the 1300G wagon, as a more comfortable (and warmer) alternative to the 4WD Jeeps that Tohoku had been using to traverse poor roads, in harsh conditions. Subaru ended up liking the idea and decided to stick with it.

Additional Information: Lamborghini claims it gets 282 MPG, it's a Plug in Hybrid that gets 50 Km on the Battery, 0 to 60 time is 3 seconds with a top speed of 198.3 MPH.

What. So this thing is supposed to have more MPGs than a Volkswagen XL1? Surely they must've meant 28.2?
It's the way the European economy test works, often giving plug in hybrids huge economy figures that are impossible to get in normal real world driving.

With the newest GTPlanet Update, users are now allowed to change their votes, should I enable this or not? For now, I will leave it off, but I will tally the votes this Sunday, and either enable or disable it.

The new option that I am enabling is to not allow viewing the results of the poll without you voting in it or it being over in a small attempt at slowing down hivemind

So with the Liberty up it's time for another vehicle, one which may actually strike a nostalgia chord with anyone who played from the glory days of NFS:

Tickford Vehicle Engineering TS50 T3

IMG_2168copy.jpg

Production:
2002 (224 units)
Based On: Ford AUIII Fairmont Ghia
Assembly: Broadmeadows, Melbourne, Australia
Body: 4-door, 5-seat sedan
Engine: Ford Windsor OHV 5.6L small-block V8
Outputs: 335hp/369lb-ft
Drive Type: Front-engine, rear-wheel-drive
Transmission: 5-speed manual (72 units), 4-speed automatic (152 units)
0-62mph: 5.86sec
1/4 Mile: 14.18sec @N/Amph

The last hurrah for both Tickford Vehicle Engineering (TVE) and Ford's Windsor V8 as the Modular line was rolling out across the world, the T3 series of AU Falcons were the recipient of the most powerful V8 in an Australian-made Ford since the XY GTHO Phase III, a standard 5.0L Windsor hand-assembled at TVE and stroked out to 5.6L, bumping power from 200kW to 250kW.

Three different versions were created: the TE50 based on the Ford Falcon XR8, with the most units produced; the TS50, a more luxurious version based upon the Ford Fairmont Ghia; and an incredibly scarce TL50 long-wheelbase based upon the luxury Ford Fairlane.

Tickford also upgraded the brakes and suspension to match the new-found oomph under the bonnet, along with a V8 Supercar-esque bodykit and spoiler to differentiate the looks. The TVE T1-through-3 vehicles weren't particularly popular vehicles with the Australian public and sold in low numbers throughout production, but the T3 vehicles in particular are the most sought after because of the 5.6L stroker, and are commanding premiums today.

TVE was bought out by Prodrive in 2002 and became Ford Performance Vehicles.

We're likely to adopt that new feature for the Photomode polls, as there is relatively little discussion in the threads, and "strategic voting" can happen. Considering a good percentage of voters in these polls state their votes in the discussion, good luck.

And before it's suggested; yes, people should continue to state what they voted for, if they wish to.
