Thats one of the reasons I needed the drm revival mod. Its nice to turbo lag your way around hockenhiem 79. I love using the gt3rs and driving any type of porsche. It feels like it brings me just a lil bit closer to the real thing. Anybody have the can am mod with late 60's and early 70's cars? The porsche 917\30 is rediculous! Especially around 67 spa.

Didn't know there was a DRM/Gr.C mod.

I have an idea of where to find it.

I belive I got it from rfactorcentral. Its the sports prototypes mod. It's got porcshe 956\962, Lancia LC2, the Nissan Gr.C with the V12 in it(it sounds like a V12), and a 787B I belive.

Speaking of Group C...
I'm gonna be running a 1000 km of Fuji race with Group C's on March 17th...

This is my go to site when looking for a hard to find track or car - http://rfactor.no-ip.info:100/

Note that this site is frequently unavailable for some reason so if it isn't working, try again later.

I think it is running on a server somehow (zero IT skills so not sure) and he seems to update it frequently so I always assumed it goes offline when he does. 💡

^ Hello gorgeous

Yeah, the Jaguar always did look great :sly:
Ok, the Porsche isn't shabby either...

Hi

I'm still looking out for a decent Skyline 2000 GT-R (aka KPGC10) mod, I have the most likely illegal Shift Street mod but it's way too shiny and handles as though it has no front tyres. Anyone know of anything off the top of their heads? I'll check that no-ip site when I'm back on my computer though.

The DRM mod is fantastic, also picked up a Radical SR8 mod, although the FFB is a bit weird on it. Virtua_LM's Sebring, Mid Ohio, Fuji, and Le Mans are amazing, probably the best modeled tracks I've ever seen in rFactor, although when I run on Le Mans my screen flashes a lot.. kind of annoying and not sure why it's happening..

Try turning shadows off to stop the flashing.
And don't forget Virtua LM's Rouen Les Essarts!

If only there were mods like that for Race07. :(

I might be in the wrong place but I'm going to go ahead anyways. I use to play rfactor few months ago but I quit and got myself a ps3 and a g27 instead. I quit because when ever I drift I lag a lot and there is a lot of tracks that I cannot run for example Touge tracks; I can run the track but I lag continuously. If I manage to get rid of this lag then I might get back to Rfactor. I think it's my system specs but I just want to make sure that it is my computer, (I know my laptop sucks so no need to rub it in).

Compaq C700
Dual Core @ 1.6GHz 1.6GHz
Ram: 2.5GB
WinVista 32Bit SP1
Graphics: 358MB Internal (I'm sure it's shared).

I run rfactor on my laptop too(for now) but mine is running on windows 7 64bit with 500mb internal. I have no problems with up to 25 cars on track with high player and a.i car detail and medium track detail. You might have to upgrade it a bit or turn the graphics down to low.

I can hardly drive the can am cars. They immediately want to slide everywhere.

Out of curiosity, what would the highest settings would be for the graphics? While I think my settings aren't bad, I keep thinking they could be better.

All this talk of Group C made me look in my archives for my favorite mod, SportPrototypes v2.2. Olthough it shows its age, if you can find it it's well worth giving it a try.

Is track texture on high or max, and is the anistropic at least 8x?

Those could potentially cause the issue.

Everything is on low and I still lag for a few seconds.

Full, I even tried going to the lowest setting and the problem still occurs.. I read on Virtua_LM's forums that others are having this same problem.
