Well, those of you in the race, please look at the replay, tell me what happened around laps 42/43/44* between myself and Luening*. I call it racing, but he intentionally rammed his car onto mine while i was in the pits, so I guess he doesn't. I DNF, was running a strong 9th/10th.

I'll have a watch of the replay.
 
I just watched it, it was hard to say what happened watching from T.V. type camera view, but when i switched to the cockpit view you were definitely not to blame. As you went to overtake him he turned in on you, then he crashed into you on the exit of the turn followed by him braking for no apparent reason resulting in you going into the back of him.

I'd make a complaint, hope you manage to get it sorted out.

He has apologized in the world series forum over at CMS.

I don't know if you continued to watch, when I pitted due to the damage, he rammed me and put us both out of the race. I will complain, aggressiveness is one thing, this kind of out of control behavior is another. I was having a good race :/ how did you guys do?
 
I didn't watch you pit, but in his apology over at CMS he said that he had a problem with his connection which led to the incident in the pits.

I managed a second place in GT2, not sure of overall position.

I don't hold a grudge, I'll go read his apology, but...I tell you he rammed me, his body language said it all. Shame, that's all.

PS; Just read the apology. Not sure how he was able to view the replay if he got disconnected before he rammed me. I'm too upset to reply to him just yet. I was having a great race. In Singapore I got flipped by a GT1, but that was clearly a mistake. It's my luck.

Is that a helicopter I can see flying around at the speed of light when the driver is near the corkscrew? At first I thought it was some kind of crazy racing line indicator...

I've never even looked at the default cars in rFactor (except for the NASCAR-alike in the demo), I had downloaded a selection of mods before I'd even bought the game so I've spent most of my time with those. I might have to have a go in some of them soon, but I just downloaded the CAN-AM mod with the Chap 2J so it might be a while!

Has to be the FPS I use when I record it, I don't have Fraps or any other fancy recording program.

The third GTPlanet car is just about finished. It belongs to CAMikaze. May add a few more logos.
 
As an update on working with Blender, I haven't really made anything really. Just haven't worked with the program much recently. I actually tried to learn how to make a track by using array modifiers. However, I haven't done much of anything except ditch Blender 2.6 for 2.49b. Now, rather than just make tracks, part of me is interested in learning how to make cars with Blender (which is very possible from a video I've seen).

Other than that, nothing much is new with me. The GTPlanet cars and such are looking great. Expect nothing less from our lovely bunch of car artists (car-tists?) here on GTPlanet. I actually haven't used the EnduRacers or Serie International du Mans mods in a while. I still work with the old Sports Car Challenge mod for my sportscar racing. I think I need to get back to designing cars. Haven't designed a single car for rFactor, yet I have made some designs for Sports Car GT.

Yes I did! And I will definitely be there! The reson I've been absent is that I focused all my sim time to iRacing, was fighting for the GT1 championship wich is ending this week. So I 'll definitely be there next week!
 
OK, I have the server running but I can't see it from the other PC. I have to figure out how to open the ports, this is the hard part for me since everything I find is not really easy to follow and is based on Win XP, I run Win 7. Any help would expedite us having a server up. Cheers
 
The guy that you were rammed by at Adelaide got banned from CMS apparently they have had trouble with him in the past.

I saw that yesterday! After trying all weekend to get in the server I went there and saw the notice, good to see things beign taken care of!

I saw, so sad he acted that way. I am glad I reported the whole incident given his other issues.
 
Regarding the server guys, unless there is a pro-geek amongst us I'm about to give up. The server runs, I am not sure why I am unable to see it on the list. I suspect I am not opening the ports properly, either in Win 7 or my router.
 
I know I saw a guide somewhere on how to do it, but I can't for the life of me remember where.
Surprised Google isn't helping on this one.

Blazed seems to be drowning on college stuff so I wanna respect that. Let's see what happens maybe when Blaze frees up some time we should give it a try!

Rocking the motion similar at NASCAR cafe powered r factor. Think I'm addicted ;)
 
REALLY want to try out a motion sim rig some time.
Was able to get in one WAY back at the NY Auto show one year. But I was too small so they had to virtually turn off the motion so I didn't get thrown out. Hardly remember it other than that.
 
I saw one at Barrett-Jackson a few years ago that costs $22,000!! It isn't even a motion simulator. It had a game that was like rFactor with tons of cars and tracks, but it had a PS2 on it. To this day, I still and confused as to what game it was.
 
Any road car mods with the Aventador? I just got an idea.
