I'll give Le Mans a go this week. My favorite Car/Track mod combo is the CTDP 2006 and Nordschleife:

You should give the 05's a go, 2005's are the real deal though the 05's were the last year of the monstorous v10's in 09 they went down to v8s. If you look at lap records for f1 track most are held by 05 cars.

(also your video link doesn't work.)

Edit: Also just won my first online race. A 10lap bmw sauber 2007 race round mills metropark, qualified 8th of 19 I made up 3 places from start and then next 2 laps made up more to end up 2nd in a 3 lap saftey period after which I gained another place and then pulled away from the others to win.

You make a good point, I will give the 2005 another go.

I don't know why the embedding doesn't work :/ here is the movie link

Cheers

What you actually do is you take the last eleven characters in the youtube link (the ones after "="), place them in youtube tags and it should look like this:

I see, thank you. I thought you should use the "embed" code they provide.

Cheers mate

Unlikely to see rFactor 2 released this year. A bummer, but it means my PC won't have to fight my PS3 and GT5 for use :D

Some points of note:
Doug: What has been done to improve the AI logic so the single player game is more useful for training or just off-line enjoyment, similar to how well GTR2's single player AI operates.

Gjon: New AIW work allows multiple paths depending on car type and driver style. We have also added a mode where a semi-transparent car replicates your best lap for training purposes.
Doug: Can you tell us how the weather feature has been implemented into rFactor 2?

ISI / Gjon: While the implementation of weather is not yet final, the plan is for a system that allows both a completely random experience, so you are never quite sure what will happen during a race weekend, to a completely scripted one, so that you can simulate the events of a past real-life race.

This one is a bit confusing:
Doug: Along the same lines as our previous question... It is a popular technique to copy rFactor on the registered machine 2-3 times to allow players to have an install for different leagues, series or testing. Any problem with doing this in rFactor 2?

ISI / Gjon: Yes... kinda. rFactor 2 will only support one player file per Windows user. If you wanted to do this with Vista or Windows 7, one would have to make more than one Windows user. However, each Windows user should be able keep one set of installed mods. This is a work in progress and can be changed before release.
I'm assuming by player file Gjon means installation; because for rF2 to not have multiple player profiles (a la rF1) would be a pretty epic fail.

If you race on a public server, make sure you're fast. Otherwise punting is the order of the day.

Otherwise, join a league. You won't regret it.

So I'm trying out the recently released Service pack of the Enduracers mod for rFactor. Would anyone know how to reduce the torque so these cars are abit easier to drive? Since I'm only using an old pad and can't afford a decent wheel, I could use some help right now.

Edit: Also, check out my newest ride I made:

Awesome mod that one, tried it out as a joke and actually liked it. Detail and physics are awesome. :)

The buses are too fast though, 3:09.2 around Bathurst is a bit quick for a bus I think... :D

Which one?

The city bus mod. I want that now.

EDIT: We noticed, it's just the GMC mod looks hella, hella, hella fun and ridiculous.

So many cars, so many tracks - my god. I MISS this game.

Another one I just completed today:

On track photos of both cars coming soon.

Edit: Well I finally figured out how to get the cars to stop fighting me...somewhat. I didn't relize there was a setting called "Opposite lock", which throws me the hell around everytime I try to get on the throttle in the corner. I turned that off and its better, though it feels like the cars still hate me abit.

Have you run the video config? rfactor config.exe in the root installation directory. Pick your resolution from the drop-down selector :)

Try deleting Config.ini, that should force the video config utility to refresh its list of resolutions.

That should be good fun actually, really enjoyed the Complex String on GT3. Haven't driven it for ages, so will be good to give it another run. Albeit a different edited version by the looks of things.

It ought to be fairly accurate, the track (in GT3) is pretty much dead flat except for a crest or two in the esses around the back of the circuit. If the scale and textures are done correctly it should be amazing :)
