Guys total noob here! I'm getting my new pc on Monday and most definitely will be getting rFactor. I've been looking at the enduracers mod and was wandering wich mods would be good ones to get? Also how do I install those mods and where do I get them?

You'll need to find a good FFB setting first, I suggest you that tutorial.
Here at rfactorcentral you'll find some good mods, just browse these 4 pages at the Hall Of Fame. Ather mods are downloadable in many other sites not only at rfactorcentral. F1classic is one of them. If you are looking for a car in particualr try to tip it on google, ie "Lotus rfactor mod" browse a couple of sites and you should find it.

Thank you so much sir! Was wondering, how hard is it to find online racing leagues? Is there a specific forum you guys go to to find a league?

I found another clue to my problem...
When I run it on the administrator account, it works fine.
However, when I run it on my account, it has the same problem.
I deleted my data and all that, but it's still not working.
Ideas?

I've done some research on it and I know I can download the game from their website, but was wondering if there was a place with a better deal or has it as part of a package or anything? Is rfactorcentral the best place to find all the mods, cars, tracks, etc.?

I've been waiting all week to get my copy and download the Enduracers mod plus the Gpfan add on. The copy is finally here and installed as soon as I press 'load track" the game instantly shuts down without warning or any message of any type.

Try removing the mode maybe?
Uninstall then reinstall if that doesn't work...
Not a performance issue with your brand new PC I hope. :scared:

BTW, if you're looking for a car mod, search for the WSCC 1970 mod on rfactorcentral.
Can't wait for the Targa Florio mod. :drool:
 
Check to see if you've set your mod filter to all cars and tracks for a start, that's the cause of 50% of the CTDs people experience with rFactor as some mods aren't compatible with the all cars and tracks filter. Make sure you have Enduracers selected in the mod list and nothing else :)
 
It's running now! Thank's to Wardez who point out the possible problem, so I cheked it out and it was exactly what he said! So thank's to him once again!
Now let the modding begin!!

You're quite welcome 👍 and I'm glad you got it up and running.

The problem was with Windows 7. rFactor, for some reason, does not default itself to run the program as an administrator which causes the crash to desktop on track load.

Just right clicking on the .exe and setting it to run as an admin will solve the problem.
 
I've finally gotten hooked on rFactor but it wasn't "love at 1st sight". Enduracers didnt play nice with ReelFeel FFB plugin. Had to manually tweak all the ffb settings to get enduracers to play nice. My MaxForceAtSteeringRack is set to like -1000 for all Enduracers (t500rs wheel). Awesome mod now 👍

Also running CTDP 2006, F1 1993 HE, & V8Factor. Next pitstop will be LMT DTM mods.

Just need to find some more maps now and try to find an online league. My guess is racing dept site is the place for that so checking there

Can you please share where you get the ReelFeel from? Also where do I install it? Wich folder? Where do I adjust the settings after installing it?
Sorry for the noob questions... I am a total noob.

[edit] I have found I can only access all of RealFeel's settings via CTDP. Make sure to see the readme file for it. When you use a vehicle for 1st time it uses the default realfeel settings but u can change that too. So keep an eye on the realfeel.ini. It for sure takes more work to get the most out of pc racing sims

Did you get gpfan's add on for Enduracers? It's awsome, adds the GT2 M3GTR, Audi R15, Aston Martin Lola, GT2 C6R, GT2 DB9R and a few other things it's a pretty cool add on!

@ Jav to use the Real Feel plugin you need to put the RealFeel.ini in your rFactor root folder and RealFeel.dll in your rFactor/Plugins folders
if the mod is compatible you'll hear a computer voice saying "real feel enabled". The same thing with Leo ffb ( no computer voice for this one lol). If you are looking for a FFB tutorial with Real Feel and Leo you can try this one.

On another note, I'm looking for a good FIA GT1 mod. Any suggestions?
 
Recently discovered something called "Stock Car Evolution". Finally, a NASCAR sim of any kind that actually has all four of the track configurations and not just a one-fits-all aero model. Will be trying it out before heading back to my painting. Currently trying to find templates to it, I have a paint scheme I badly want to bring to life.

I have just got into PC sims lately, having bought the GTR Evo+Race07 bundle from Steam. The mods available for rFactor made me order that too. Because I am more interested in road cars, I have already downloaded the Shift street mod. Does anyone else have this mod and, if you do, how do the physics compare to GTR Evo? Thanks.

Hi I don't have GTR Evo, but as you probably know all SimBin games are powered by the Gmotor 2.0 the same of rFactor, the Shift Street Mod is nice, I'm using it in these days but it's still a WIP skins selection are a bit messy. for the FFB you can try Leo + Real Feel tutorial (link a couple of post above, maybe not all the cars will work properly you neeed to try) or modify the controller.ini for every car to make it handle the way you want, but this is more tricky because you need to know the right parametres.
The good thing of this mod is it's useing the same templates of NFS Shift, so you can import them. Currently I'm skinning a couple of Bugatti Veyron with racing and tuning decals, if a skinner is interested we could create a Veyron Challange or sort of :)
