I think RZ05 might have the first guy who caught on to that, I also found that running the engine braking very low helped. Basically, it seems like if the back end locks up, the bike carries further. Noticed this in one of the MotoGP games as well. We had some disagreements about what was causing it, but regardless, that's what's happening. You can try moving your rider weight around, too. I thought it helped but it might have been in my head, too.
Hehe this game plays with your breaking zone i tell you just when you think you have it figure out.

Also about engine braking i don't really understand that system to much so i always keep eb at 0 is that good or should i keep at 1?

It really, really does play with the braking. There's something a bit janky going on in the physics for sure. Anyway, I settled on just leaving it at level 1 although I think 0 worked better on some bikes, but I usually just leave it.

What view do most people use on bike games?

I’ve found I’m much faster on 3rd person but detest using it in any games so I struggle through with first person view.

Still feels off in bike games, whereas car sims 1st person feels more natural.
I find a good third-person view to be more realistic than an uncomfortable first-person view, not to mention superior. Riding a bike is not a dizzying neck-snapping affair that leaves you unsure where exactly each tire is.

I request this feature to be added to ride 5

Imagine multiplayer

I think I’d tend to agree with you, I find every bike games 1st person views to feel very disconnected but the purist in me always tries to stick with onboard view.

I’m not sure that it’s even possible to get close to an authentic on bike view in a game, it’s probably time I swallowed my pride and went back to 3rd person on my 2 wheeled games.

I sometimes wonder why I stick to first person myself, but it's more or less because I spend too much time watching the bike and not looking far enough down the road.

The worst part about R4's onboard is they have a replay cam which is almost perfect.

So i ran each Rm 1000 superbike same condition, same tires, 10 laps each at VIR and to my best ability and the results are pretty surprising.

I didn't expect for Suzuki to finish with the best time but it did feel the best and lightest to drive out of all them.

I'm in the same position! :(
Me 3!

Not missing much then.
Seems good value at £22.49, big saving, might give it a go even though it’ll go same way as my MotoGP games, unplayed!
These games come up in sales regularly once past the first year. If you're not going to play it for a few months, it'll probably be on sale again (and cheaper) before then.

I'm really trying my best not to buy any more racing games until I've cleared some of the back log. Despite devoting quite a lot of time to gaming I've got so much to play. I honestly don't know how some people get through all these games, I'm beginning to suspect that most don't, they just play for a bit then onto the next. Problem is I'm a bit OCD with racing games I like to play until completion, and I like everything, I can find fun in most games.

I have started to learn my lesson though, everything is constantly on sale and even if you feel ready for it you don't have to wait long and boom here it is again, only this time it's cheaper. Then there's game pass giving you access for free. An example is WRC10, I want it, I will really enjoy it but I'm still playing 9 so why buy it, it will only be stacked. Considering rally is my favourite discipline I'm quite impressed with my will power to this point. The only reason I can see to buy at release is to support the devs.

I dunno, perhaps I'm being too serious and sensible. Age I guess.

@Chikane_GTR That chart is pretty interesting, totally not how I'd have figured it would play out.

Milestone has acquired SBK license and they will release an official game in July 2022.

Could this affect the future of RIDE?
I should be more excited about that than I am, especially as historically I've followed SBK more than MotoGP until the last few years. Probably just fatigue, they release an awful lot of yearly titles. As for the how it affects Ride, I don't know, it could, but Ride is different than the MotoGP series and I would have to think SBK will be more like that.

I see Ride 4 special edition is on sale on the PS Store. I am seriously thinking about getting. The problem is I am still working my way through 2. I bought 3 when it was on sale and I haven't even downloaded it yet.

Even though 4 has graphical and technical improvements especially on the newer hardware and higher spec PC's, I'd put 2>4>3. 4 will be on sale again.

I have no sense of turn in with helmet cam, and really cannot sense the back wheel either spinning up or lifting on brakes, before it's too late.

I'm guessing I'd be even more than 6 seconds slower than 3rd person.

I even prefer nose cam to helmet cam.

The following eat person views, full screen, looks spot on in ride 3, 4, TT 1 and 2, etc.

I love helmet view in this game :D

Only downside im up to 6 seconds slower compare to 3rd person view. :banghead:

It's the best. I was sour for days when I realized what they had done to Ride 4's helmet cam. Seems like they took a shortcut, used the non helmet cam from Ride 3 and just added a helmet to it!

TT 2 has an pretty good helmet cam and so do MotoGP 20/21.

You're right it will be on sale again and I am not ready to play it yet. So I'll just put it on my wishlist for the next time it goes on sale

Jumped on this in the sale on PS5. Well worth the £15. Graphics are stunning, really like how it feels to play as well. All the little nuances of the dual sense are really cool too, the kick back on the trigger when you hit the limited is really cool, and the way the controller feels like a bike vibrating as you power up is well recreated.
