Why Renato. One simple answer. To inform people of the truth about the broken promises and mislead information. They deserve the right to know the truth, before forking out hard earned cash....

----------- invented is a remarkable concept for design and practability, and I do hope your business suceeds from here on in.

But stop posting excuses and comments which don't back up your actions. It is unfair to all who have paid and are waiting, and misleading to potiential customers.

Hi mate,

What is it with you that you keep making these comments with regards to Rinoseats. Everything has been explained clearly.

Do you know how many Rinoseats have been sold since the first gen? Renato has been around sim gaming for the longest time and as a current owner of the Rinoseat since GT5 prologue I am inclined to say that he is the real deal where sim seat gaming is to be concern.

Here is one guy who is working for a passion (and he deserves a profit) to make gaming seats that are comfortable and affordable and here you are, constantly yakking and harping about fraud, delays etc. What is with this misguided self-righteousness of yours?

Back when we ordered from Singapore (if you know where that is and how far it is from Croatia) a bulk order of 20 sets, there has never been any concern on the delivery.

Are you one of those who have paid and are waiting? Honestly, if you have a missed order, kindly produce the emails, evidence to purchase etc so that your order will be caught up. Rino Industries now is probably no Playseat or VisionRacer so hiccups are to be expected. If you cannot wait then move on to another product. Be grateful that given most of us do not speak any Croatian, we all have an equal chance to purchase a properly engineered seat. It is amazing that after the success of the first Rinoseat there are still doubters out there talking about flimsy seats, unstable platform etc etc..

There are many others here who appreciate Renato's work on seats so please stop distracting him from posts such as yours.

Cheers 👍

........and on a lighter note....no delivery this week. Raceline I suggest you email sales@rinoseats.com and ask for your seat to be delivered. Mind you Renato would probably prefer to give your money back if it has not been posted.

Pdreams I don't think Raceline is saying there is Fraud happening but is pointing out misinformation he and others have been given. I was told from the start my shipping date was 2 November. I have already posed that I thought Renato should have been upfront and said the product was not finished and we were pre-ordering. I would still have ordered because the product is right for me and it is ahead of its time.

As for Renato "resigning" from the forum probably a good move. Best for him to concentrate on what he does best, make Rinoseats. My view is that at the end of the day the Rinoseat will sell itself. He will still respond to emails. Can I suggest you all look at the experience of Gamepod buyers and their communication with customers being assisted by Papa in another thread.

Once all pre January orders are filled I suggest we start anew in another thread and bury this one.

Hi CPA,

You are totally right. I hope you get your seat soon as well.

With regards to shipping from Europe, unless its to a reliable source, it can take weeks.

I remembered my GT5 Signature edition to Singapore took 3 weeks when it was stated mex. 5 days from postal in UK. It is perfectly normal to feel flustered with delays but I guess with strikes, weather and what not happening it can get quite long some time.

Kindly post a simple review when you have the seat. If the first gen rinoseat is anything to go by, the GTR should be fantastic.

Cheers

I emailed Renato and he was very clear to mention straight away that there is a backlog and delay in production but that it would all be sorted soon (can't remeber exact time quoted so I won't say) so basically I'm going to order mine as soon as CPA gets his and when its clear that production is up to date.

I suggest others do the same if they're wanting to get on board. To those waiting on theres I hope you get them soon but take solice that you'll get your bum in it before I do!

Like CPA says I hope we can bury this thread soon and start something more positive.

I have PM's requesting advice of delivery. Seems everyone is wainting on my delivery to order/pay $.

Renato has now admitted mine was sent via snail/sea mail which is a 21 working day wait- we are up to 18 working days now. All to save a few $ postage.
here are the postage rates:

http://www.posta.hr/UserDocsimages/cjenik/Izvadak_iz_ Cjenika_usluga_medjunarodni_promet_20110201.pdf

or for those not fluent in Croatian:
http://translate.google.com.au/tran...odni_promet_20110201.pdf&hl=en&sa=G&prmd=ivns

my reading is 100HRK difference for 10-15kg for Australia airmail -13.50 Euro or 18 USD.

I will suggest to Renato that the buyer be given all the info of cost and delivery time options at purchase. (And of course a realistic posting date).

Raceline is this yours? http://ips.posta.hr/IPSWeb_item_events.asp?itemid=CC007294091HR
If so I see the States have put the brakes on airmail and both our cartons are enjoying a cruise.

Cheers all.
PS. do I want the Scot or the Serb to win the Oz Tennis Open?
Answer: Marin Čilić and you might jump the wait for a Rinoseat.

Renato has emailed to say the postal rates are new and did not apply to my delivery.

He will give all the option of postage rates in the future but air is not much dearer now.

So, Nole did it again!! Wheee!!!
Novak's family is organizing party in front of their restaurant in Belgrade. Someone wanna join me? :) :)

Congrats mate :) - I am also waiting for mine although I ordered only few days ago so still good few weeks of waiting in front of me.

And it is together. Renato has made this a precision peice and it takes a bit to wiggle to get every bolt in place. Some more precise instructions would be a help as there are a few tricks. Especially the pedal mounts and the way they join the frame. It is so far the quality, light and moveable kit I need.
Will post after a road test.

AND the good news.....delivered in Australia ( a non cyclone zone).

now to put it together.

KICK ASS!!!

Also got news from Renato mine is on it's way too by plane. Should be here within next 7days or so.
New shipping rates are in effect in Croatia from february 2011 cutting the cost from 150 to 65euro postage by plane. I think this will make a big difference for Renato's shipping capabilities.

congrats CPA, very happy that you finally received it - it was painful reading this thread at times.

now Rinoseats is a reality 👍 just need to update their site and payment methods ;)

look forward to your feedback and pics

....The only problem is the loong waiting times, but that has nothing to do with Renato or the product itelf but with the problem with his local post office. In my case the first seat was lost and did not arrive to me. But Renato assured me that he would send me a new one, and he did (no questions, no issues). I advice to all people buying the seat that the waiting times are worth the final product.. think of it as it's much better than buying a Ferrari (with waiting times longer than a year)

More here :)

Spent the day putting all the G27 wires in the Rinoseat tubing. Had to drill a few holes, one to allow the USB plug through at the steering wheel and one to allow the pedal wire to enter the bottom tubing. Took apart the pedals so I did not have to cut wire ( I cut the gear lever wire) as the pedals and gears have Serial Plugs which would have been too big to drill holes.
An improvement to the Rinoseat would be holes that allow the serial plugs to go through with screw on plates to cover the gaping hole and keep the tubing strength.

Will post pics after I complete the last mod which is to bolt the Buttkicker Advance to the bottom of the seat.

According to Renato there should be holes under the wheel for cables !

Where waiting for pics and review :)

You did a great job with the cables. I am really impressed by the mounting of Buttkicker. Did you just screw the metal plates with the original screws and that's it? It's a great and easy solution. How does it feel? That's one big Buttkicker for such a light cockpit!

Thanks Sonac, yes the original screws with an added 5/16 spring washer. I dont know how many times I looked at it and thought hose clamps/bike seat clamps onto the seat frame with their bolts through the metal. Then I had that flash of brilliance and a bit of luck.
The Buttkicker is great. I have never had a Buttkicker Gamer but many complain it blows up with the 100/130 W amp. AND it is was not available anywhere on the planet. I have been buying everything from the USA given our dollar parity at the moment and the 300W Amp is swithable to 240 Volt (only have to change the fuse and power cord). The volume needs to be on the mid-low side as I get the feeling it will blow the windows out. I have just mounted but a quick play gives the impression it will depend on the game. GT5 for instance was made with the buttkicker in mind and really moves you whereas F1 2010 does not shake much.
If you have the $ I would reccomend it.

Great work there CPA

From all the images I have seen there isn't any that show how you can adjust the space between the pedals and the wheel.

I am 183 cm long and I want the wheel quite close and being able to stretch my legs.

The distance between the upper rim of the wheel and the top of the pedals are 68 centimeters (26.8 Inches)

Is there really room for that adjustment on the GTR Rinoseat?

Looks like you can maybe move the seat back slightly and the pedals forward slightly, but that's about it...
