Rinoseat - What Happened??

Looks like you can maybe move the seat back slightly and the pedals forward slightly, but that's about it...

I don't think the adjustment between the seat and wheel is going to be a problem but the adjustment between the wheel and pedals is my main concern!

You can't compare these two rigs because the Rinoseat has a different style of seating
(C style instead of S style)

Opinion from Germany who had the Playseat and now has the Rinoseat

...What I personally like very much again the sitting position. I do not sit in the chair as it was really a sporty riding position. (Seats close to the ground somehow and the seat leaves me with very good support in Nacken/Schulter- and thighs do not get out. I find very good. Again, the Evo I'm sitting in a Range Rover or X5)...

...The adjustement options are extensive.. everybody can fit in this seat.. im 189 and it can surely fit much longer guys (im far from using the last adjustement bolts)...

See next (can be adjusted almost all)

As I said earlier -the adjustment between the wheel and pedals is my main concern!

There is NO pictures of tall people with stretched legs anywhere 💡

magicaldog if you are not convinced that tall people can fit this seat or are worried about the pedal to wheel distance you can always drill a few holes to increase the wheel /pedal distance (just have to compensate for the change in angles of pedals):

and in answer to your question ? = 50cm

OR just get Renato to give you some long rods for the pedals

If you don't belive in reviews https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=121267&page=16#post4775399

then you can analyze our old video (driver height 190cm) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2vBqlSdWCA&playnext=1&videos=U3FF38vVaX4&feature=mfu_in_order

You can see here how the bucket seat in Rinoseat is big and how it follows upper part of driver body (head and shoulders).
You can adjust the position of sitting in all ways (even height ... forward up - back down).

BTW: What is position like a real race driver (NASCAR, GTR, DTM, RALLY, F1) ???

P.S. nice photo from Spain, thanks!

I am 187cm and I am driving real sports car which is extremely low in result my position is almost flat. Will let you know how it compare to Rinoseat once I receive it :)

But keep in mind that sports cars do not care about your hight and often people like us have to squiz in somehow not always in optimal position.

Yes that looks a lot like mine and your seat actually looks more as a realistic racing seat :)

And except that I have the Fanatec Club Sport Pedals but thats probably no difference.

You must be one of the most responsive company I have ever contacted! Thanks !

Now all I am waiting for is the ISR review before I put my order down!

dude no offence, but Renato is totally right with his repost . That's not the position of a racing driver that's the position of someone lying at a swimmingpool. check any in-car video of a rally driver and you will soon see what a real racing position is all about.

There are as many seating positions as types of racing and racing cars, I'm sure we can all agree on that. 👍

Tomorrow it will come 13 days since Renato send my order to his forwarding company, and 2 months of waiting since the payement...

I'm like a kid before christmas day, but the christmas day is delayed and delayed again, and they won't tell this poor kid wich day will be christmas :grumpy:

The only problem with these images is that none of the Rally drivers have their feet on the pedals !

actually i do :) It's because of the design of an f1 car (with an absolute must for a low center of gravity) they really don't have any other option than to lie the driver completely down.
But thats completely missing the point here. What you want is a comfortable and effective seating position. And that's what Renato has created here.
But as stated by GUNSTAT :

There are as many seating positions as types of racing and racing cars, I'm sure we can all agree on that.
->That's the truth and that's the only one!

I on the other hand-when driving on the nurburgring(in real life that is)-move my seat almost forward to the maximum to an almost upright position. If i don't, i feel like i'm not in control and because i'm not stable in my seat due to g-forces throwing me all over the place. In a simulator this of course is not the case and also not so relevant so i can see your point of wanting to lie down. In real life though... i dare you :)

As I stated earlier

The only concern I have is the length adjustment for the legs/pedals!

There are no clear diagrams of this anywhere !

How hard could it be !

Im sure Im not the only one who wonder !

Chris looks like he has a different seating position here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXeeCBOx2xU

magicaldog, The answer to your question is simple. If you want to sit like that and must have 68 cm from top of wheel to pedal it will not do it unless the pedal mount is modified. As I said the measurement is 50 cm and can only be squeezed 7 cm approx by moving the wheel support and increase of the wheel height. If you email Renato (as you have said he a manufacturer who talks to you) you will find he has a passion for development of his product and he will likely drill a series of holes along the pedal mount so it will adjust and push out to your measurement, may need to shorten the support rods - and even provide a new bit of tubing the same diameter as the frame for the front of the pedals. Just Ask.

That said the product as it is has the right feel for me , you just get in it and drive fast.

For those who got their rinoseat, did Renato send you any tracking number?

It's been 14 working days he sent mine to his forwarding company, and I got no news (I assume Renato didn't either). Does this forwarding company provides any tracking system to follow the shipment, or does it comes to your door without preventing?

Even in France, never heard customs keeping shipments so long (except if it's an illegal stuff... off course).

just email Renato and he should send you the tracking number. For what it is worth as the tracking number only tells you when it left Croatia

I just did it. I hope he will have good news to give me...

If I just learned my order left Croatia I would be more or less satisfied since I wouldn't wait too long.

I live in South Korea and maybe I'm the first customer here.
I paid for my GTR on Dec. 20th and Renato hasn't sent me any shipping information yet. Though Renato told me it would be sent on Jan. 18 with the new shifter.. Last time I asked for info and he told me the forwarder didn't give him information yet (Feb 2th).
I almost forgot when I ordered the seat and gave up daring, hoping some day I could get it... OTL

Has anyone got Rinioseat GTR since ordered last December? I'm really curious the people already received their ones waited for how long time.

Cheer up Renato, we know you're not a bad man but the waiting is literally incredibly long.

Same story here... no news yet.. still no tracking number either

Hi everyone.

I've been watching this thread for some time now, and like CPA, I'm from Australia too, and purchased a Rinoseat GTR back on 19 November 2010, and I'm still waiting.

Where's Renato??

I've have not had a reply email in the past week, with 3 emails sent. I've even gone to the extent of calling the supplied phone number on the receipt over the past two days, with no answer. Three phone calls per day at international rates. This is becoming stressing now.

same problem here, 2 emails sent but no answer for over a week...
