This thread is hilarious. I cannot believe the number of gushing sycophants racing to defend PD's honour by attempting to redefine how the calender works. It takes a 'special' type of mind to relentlessly and irrationally insist that January 1st actually occurs on the following day.

Nonetheless, we are deep into January 2nd now. Perhaps those worshiping at the alter can stop and take time to come up with a new way of defining January 1st as January 3rd... or 4th.

Maybe where you are, but it's still the 1st here. That's what you and a few others need to realize, it can't be the same day everywhere in the world. 👍 And by the way, just because I understand things, doesn't make me worshiping at the alter, as you say. Stop to think ok, if PD said these will be released on the 1st, then maybe they were basing that time in a time zone where it is going to be the 1st, which would obviously mean that it would be the 2nd in some parts of the world. No matter what date they give, its going to be off by a day for people in some parts of the world because, like I said, its not going to be the same day for everyone in every part of the world.

I resent that...

-the rest of North America, Central America and South America

Edit: at noon GMT, the entire world is in the same date.

Really? Cause my clocks all show 6:44 PM, which, according to the Lord of Date and Time, is still January 1st.

Priceless. Could you possibly be more insular? I know you Americans don't leave home much, so it may surprise you to learn that the rest of the world don't live by your clocks. Texas Mean Time? Priceless!!

I stand corrected. But you get what I'm saying though as far as PD goes and the release of these events, such as the case here. Its not going to be on the same day for everyone.

So really, wouldn't it make sense to release this content at noon GMT ON JANUARY 1ST?

Here in New Zealand with GT5 I remember that roughly 2pm on a Thursday we got the seasonal updates. That makes it Wednesday for Europe and America.

So in theory that makes it available within the next 2 hours.

But I've been known to be wrong before :D

No, I get your point entirely. Everyone is making valid points. But, - and this is the irritating part - no one else is trying to offer helpful advice, or really get to the task at hand.

Why don't we just wait to see what happens, when it's released etc. And post about it then?

Good math, Mr. Kiwi! Content should be available in exactly 121 minutes, if the fact that has been restated in this thread for the past eight pages is correct.

That's what I said earlier today....10pm EST. US time. 👍

Ummmm if you want to know what time it is, why wouldn't you just google it? I was hoping to come to this thread to find info but I'm only getting a bickering fight between fools. Call Americans stupid as you want, as that's basically true. We seek no innovation and try to copy others for cheaper prices and lower quality...

ANNNNyways, PD is starting to frustrate me with a couple of nuances such as being late to the party for certain items, and then giving us the shortfall of it all by making us grunge and wait...

Are you surprised that the world doesn't revolve around your time zone either? Grow Up.

Central Standard Time*

Its still very much the first where I live.
I think it's hilarious how some people think that it isn't still the first in half of the world. The number of people blaming PD for not having an update out immediately is so funny.

Ladies and gentlemen, what I've been trying to say all day. Thank you!

I highly doubt they would release the events in Minnesota before the rest on the entire world.
I just contacted my friend in Minnesota and he said no updates yet

Maybe what you need to realise is that I said nothing about the timing of the release, and only commented on the hilarious attempts to redfine the mechanics of the calender. I am fully aware how time zones work having travelled the world for the past 30 years.

Aside from that, everything you say, while possibly correct, is pure speculation. As you "understand things" and are free to speculate, which time zone do you think PD was using?

Well, obviously one where it is still the 1st. As far as exact, really couldn't tell you.
